  1. 1) I have a bit of an issue with this, it's one of the main problems with freezing time, especially if in that time characters don't age or change in any way. Otherwise that character is trapped outside for an eternity but since access to that timeline is still possible, what happens when Eternity comes back later? What is the actual time ratio between the two? An eternity of eternities? Has a lot of potential for very difficult problems.
  2. That's 4 or 5 I believe. Brandon took it over when Robert Jordan passed away, finishing books twelve, thirteen and fourteen. The series is now complete.
  3. It would have to be living tissue so it's a bit more complicated than that.
  4. Vin can take out entire teams of pewterarms with little to no difficulty. I'd have been less annoyed but still pretty annoyed.
  5. Well the two other times that Elend was mortally wounded she started the apocalypse and then managed to kill god. So yeah, not a great portrayl.
  6. Since I think all cities are taken now that Edge is joining we're probably going to have to retcon perth and possibly Darwin if Winter doesn't come back.
  7. "Yeah sure, you can take a seat. My name's David Andrews. I'm a third year. Nice to meet you." Jarrad let out the breath he'd been holding before stepping in to take a seat. "Jarrad Thomas." He replied reaching out to clasp Davids hand. "First year." He lent back into the seat, looking around curiously. Other students were walking up and down the train, an owl flew past right down the corridor. Ok, owl, you have a family owl, no biggie, and did that cat just explode? He leaned out a bit to get a better look but a group of students were crowded around it, preventing him from seeing clearly. Right. Exploding cats. Cool I guess, but I'm not all that interested in it. Nope, too busy sitting back and being a cool half vampire to be interested in exploding cats. He fidgeted nervously before looking back up at David. "So... nice weather right?" You're an idiot Jarrad.
  8. On gifting I'd say it would be impossible to assume, gifted powers don't follow most of the rules of normal Epic powers, they don't corrupt, they don't (as far as we know) gain their own weakness, they don't cause pain to the original Epic like motivators or twins do.
  9. And Voidus ninjas in the locking of the old thread because he is 5 years old and likes to use his mod powers.
  10. Well depends on how you count, he's already done other smaller side-stories. The eleventh metal for example.
  11. Yeah converting energies is really annoying. Heat in particular kind of sucks since you have to work out different materials and all kinds of other stuff. How is doubling the energy a fix? Also fireballs need chemistry to work, if it was just heat it would be a heat ball. I'd really appreciate a profile, some things like lightning bolts for example are impossible with strictly energy conversion. If you just turn it into electricity then it's just going to act like electricity which means going straight down and probably frying the Epic themselves rather than their enemy.
  12. Thanks, I do my best. Hopefully I avoid just annoying everyone with my nitpicking. Converter in Corvallis and Frostfire in the Dalles I'm guessing. As long as someone else posts in between whenever is good.
  13. Most of them aren't too over the top powerful, no more so than Regalia, Steelheart or Obliteration. Mostly just the Metal, maybe Bioterror I suppose but he doesn't do well against inanimates so he's not exactly city-conquering. From 0K to room temperature there is.
  14. It's the universe trying to trick you into a false sense of security! Don't fall for it or one day you'll wake up and be so awkward that you resort to obsessively writing profiles for fictional supervillains all day... Or something like that.
  15. If they don't have proper limits then yeah.
  16. It starts when you're born and just keeps growing til you reach maximum!Awkwardness.
  17. Just stand to one side awkwardly and wonder whether or not you're supposed to help. Social awkwardness, the prime indicator that you've reached maximum levels of adulting.
  18. Depends what your temperature threshold is, if you can reduce it all the way to 0K then yes but that opens up a host of other problems. And no, not really sunlight doesn't produce enough energy to knock over houses. Any chance we could get a profile? EDIT: And actually the scene was at night which means there's almost no light anyway.
  19. Every damnation time, it's like the writers can't be bothered doing any more research than whatever wikipedia says their magic is then just think of a way for someone to win. Elend is always just getting stabbed and dying instantly and Vin is acting like she's been Mistborning for all of five seconds.
  20. New job starts in a week, and now I'm spending all of my time on not only creating an endless stream of Epic profiles for the Reckoners RP (Well I tell myself it's for the RP anyway, mostly I just like making Epic profiles) but also creating ideas for portraits, statues, bookcases and stairs in Hogwarts for the HP RP. One super productive adult here.
  21. Aranea glanced at the blacksmith, Siris. To be able to detect a lie, that either meant a very experienced liar themselves or else some new kind of magic. It wasn't impossible she supposed, but to be on the cutting edge of such new magic... Of course it was also possible that the claim was itself a lie. Still, she had nothing to hide, not from these people anyway. "Dusk lies some hours away yet." Aranea said. "The time of twilight is the most suitable to pay respects to Azura. But I a sure she will be pleased with your prayers at any hour if you have urgent business you need to be about." If the two could be believed then this was indeed just a chance meeting, two travelers who respected the lord of Moonshadow and were curious about the shrine. Still, one could never trust someone who was skulking about cloaked in illusion magic, Aranea should know, she'd spent half her life doing just that. "Of course if you'd like to stay I do have some freshly caught salmon from the lake."
  22. The figure dispelled its illusion, allowing them to be seen clearly, a cloaked and hooded figure it stood up before greeting them in a male voice. "Good evening to the both of you." "And to you." She replied sarcastically. "Just out for an invisible stroll? Or are you here to worship the lady of twilight as well?" He at least showed no open hostility so she dropped her arm to her side again. "Well regardless I believe introductions are in order. I am called Aranea, a priestess of Azura and the one building and dedicating this shrine."
  23. I'd say go for it, there's going to be a bit of awkwardness like that until Salem really gets some plot going.
  24. And Jarrad was trying to enter the compartment with Nashan'Elin's character if that wasn't obvious.
