  1. Calamity spoilers
  2. I don't mind either, whatever is more in character.
  3. Or you could join this RP too I could do a Scribbler or Neverthere post actually, but I'm just in a HP mindset right now.
  4. About 10 more minutes I'd say
  5. I'm currently channeling my compulsive urges into making a compilation of every spell used in the series and when all the lessons take place.
  6. Infiltrating the dragon cult, staging an ambush where it is damaged before running away, then having the infiltrator offer to repair it?
  7. @Silver was that supposed to be the carriage Jarrad and David are in? And since I forgot to include the link before: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KWRA8qXJOfTHvrPRbeZfQ7PtED3DasihC9jH3L0zLs8/edit#
  8. A dragon-priest mask?
  9. 'fair doesn't get you your N.E.W.Ts' -Serena's favorite saying I don't mind if he does, just that her reaction is not likely to be very positive.
  10. I wouldn't try to forbid anyone from saying so it just seems pretty unlikely to me which breaks the immersion a bit, that's just my opinion though, it's not worth more than anyone elses. That could definitely work.
  11. There's a difference between something like international policy and the president of the country turning into an evil superpowered murderer. With Epics there are plenty of weird city-wide effects like Ildithia, Babilar and Newcago are both significantly altered too.
  12. Also not at all I'm happy to create as many characters as are needed to fill out story but for most of those I probably won't do a whole lot of writing for them so if someone else wants to claim one I already made or replace something then I'm more than happy for that.
  13. So because I like organization, worldbuilding and insane amounts of attention to detail I started a google doc for random information, shortcuts, lessons, characters, and whatever else I can think of. At the moment I'm mostly adding what I know is canonical with a few exceptions (The video games are apparently widely regarded as being canonical where they don't directly contradict the books but I get the feeling that spells like 'spongify' don't actually exist, or if they did have very different effects to what we see) but anyone else should feel free to add whatever, wherever. Obviously no one needs to add or adhere to what's there but if you're like me (By which I mean insane) then it would be a great place to collect all the random information that may be needed for consistent storytelling. 14. The president becoming an Epic just seems like a notable piece of backstory that would have been mentioned at some point if true, odds are that someone in the whitehouse did become an Epic but I feel like if it was the president we'd know. It's not impossible but I'd feel weird about saying that he became an Epic without it having been mentioned.
  15. I feel like it would have been mentioned though.
  16. PIs are just the absolute best of High Epic abilities. Edge came up with some classifications that I really like a while ago, I think one was a 'situational PI' which is what I'd say a High Epic has to have at the least, it doesn't completely prevent you from being killed but it makes it very difficult.
  17. I wouldn't say weak necessarily but fewer High Epics would certainly be a good idea.
  18. Happily. You mean with the dagger not working? Definitely didn't see it but I found it amusing.
  19. Not unless he annoys her
  20. She might chime in occasionally and say how implausible certain scenes are if that helps?
  21. Well with MV and most recently Scribbler having bursts of embarrassment I thought I'd go for a more emotionally stable character, so she'd probably just tell her to keep it down and then go back to reading.
  22. Oh dear I've been spotted. Er... it was Kaymyth! *Runs*
  23. Aranea ignored the apology as she continued to grill their food, but a moment later Siris called out. "either you picked the wrong dagger, or the enchantment's run out of charges." Her eyes narrowed as she muttered under her breath. "Run out of charges? But I killed that deer a couple of... no wait, last Loredas?" She stood up, holding the fish on a stick in one hand as she walked over to a small patch of shrub where she'd left her pack. She rummaged through it, pulling out a handful of soulgems, all dull and empty. "Hmm... thought I'd remembered to fill one of these." She said, before reaching further into the bag. She finally found a lesser gem that glowed slightly with the light of a captured soul. "Only a lesser unless you'd care to go hunting." She said as she reached Siris, holding out the soulgem and, after a moments inspection, the grilled salmon fillet.
  24. Hope you don't mind me god-modding for your cat a bit Mestiv, let me know if I need to change anything about it.
  25. Serena Lockheart moved down the corridor of the Hogwarts Express, she held a book in one hand, her finger marking her page but her eyes were facing blankly forwards as her mouth moved ceaselessly, mouthing the words she'd just read. "Expecto Patronum: The Patronus charm, this defensive spell is primarily used to guard against or attack a Dementor or Lethifold." She dodged out the way of a passing owl as she continued on her way to the prefects car. "This exceptionally difficult spell requires not only great magical talent but also a strong will, requiring the caster to summon forth an extremely positive memo- Hey! no running in the corridor!" She chided a nearby third year, thankfully not from her own house. "Extremely positive... oh son of a kneazle I lost it." Serena muttered, opening the book back up and tracing the lines of writing til she reached the spot she'd been up to. She reached out absent-mindedly to open the door to the prefects car, muttering a greeting to the others as she continued to read, plonking herself down in the first seat that looked free in her peripheral vision. Something jumped up with a yelp as she sat on it, causing her to drop her book in fright. A blur of fur darted past her vision and leaped off the seat. She looked up at the cars other occupants, recognizing neither. "New prefects?" She asked, adjusting her glasses and looking around for her dropped book. A cat stood on the floor of the car, glaring at her. "Nice kitty." She said absently, hands groping under the chair til she felt the hard cover of her book.
