  1. Unknown to most Scadrians but there're enough who know about it for it to be a legitimate problem. There always was, it's just not advisable since it'd probably cause the recipient to go insane. Well there's the Set, Marasi, Wax, Wayne, the Kandra, the constabulary...
  2. Well maybe the problem is that the extreme wind keeps blowing fumes from the diesel fried chicken into the people painting the road signs so partway through they forget what they were supposed to be writing and just use an exit number.
  3. I think being charged by a man in plate armour makes it even more likely that you'd attempt to shoot them.
  4. You say that like there's another option. Aren't easter eggs the only thing you're allowed to eat during easter? I'm pretty sure they are.
  5. Which works fine against another army fighting the same way you do but an army that can decimate yours from a kilometer away? With a platoon of irregulars who can fly, rip the weapons from your hands, raise their moral while lowering yours, punch through your armor, see you from a mile away and slow or speed up time. Another group who can turn into the hulk, travel at superspeed, adjust to your strategies in an instant, become impervious to pain, heal from mortal wounds, have perfect recall of military tactics... Even without the technological advantage, Scadrial has a far better fighting force, with more advanced technology as well I really don't see this ending well for Roshar at all.
  6. Probably comes with having been in a relationship for almost a decade and expecting our own child soon God that makes me sound old. Here: http://roosterteeth.com/show/rwby
  7. The only magic on Roshar that is widely available is also instantly usable by anyone from Scadrial, kill a Shardbearer? You get his Shards. Capture a camp? Get all their fabrials. And there are a lot more experienced scholars on Scadrial than there are on Roshar. Yes the first Highstorm would be pretty devastating if they didn't know anything about it but they aren't exactly likely to just be standing in the middle of an open field when it hits. In fact they'd probably be striking at the Rosharan warcamps. If your enemies one day all break ranks and go hide inside their houses you don't just shrug and wait politely for them to come out. Something that has been overlooked though is that every single Scadrian is going to be significantly stronger than any Rosharan. The gravity on the two planets is different, if the battles take place on Roshar then the Scadrians instantly all become thugs basically and the actual thugs become Koloss. Not to mention that the vast majority of Roshars weapons are metal, they just don't have experience fighting allomancers. Which means all of their arrows can be deflected by the Mistings in the Scadrian army and yet they have no defense whatsoever against a barrage of guns. Sorry Roshar but Scadrial absolutely dominates this battle.
  8. I imagine a couple of shots would shatter a plate, but you'd probably need another bullet once it's shattered to actually hit the Shardbearer, it seems to absorb momentum pretty well so I don't imagine the bullet would actually pierce it.
  9. Aranea juggled the coins left by Verioc. A more thoughtful gesture than she would have expected from him, but perhaps she'd simply been too quick to judge. She'd lived that life not too long ago, but even while she was sneaking around, carrying out assassinations for one house or another, she'd never thought of herself as a bad person. The people who employed her were bad, she was simply using what skills she possessed in their service. Perhaps Verioc was the same. She glanced into the fire, still burning in the night air. She and Siris were both seated around it now. They'd made far better progress on the statue today than she would have by herself, and he'd taught her quite a bit about sculpting. She was quite thankful that her fellow Dunmer had found her shrine, she didn't enjoy the constant crowds of city life but living like a hermit had led her to miss certain aspects of companionship. A shared meal. Relaxing together around a fire. A conversation. "I must thank you again for your assistance, Siris." She said. "I had almost given up on finishing before the next invocation date."
  10. <Seconds RWBY suggestion. I considered naming our first child after the main character of it. Unfortunately Mrs. Voidus' family own a dog called Ruby so that would be awkward.
  11. I thought it was 'with great insanity comes great sparkly pancake showers'
  12. Now the question is, do Reckoners RPers take the spiderman approach or the Deadpool approach to what kind of responsibility comes with great power?
  13. I totally forgot that Twi had mod powers here for a moment and I was wondering who ninja'd in those edits before me since I was on my phone.
  14. I imagine so, I'd do it but merging that many topics is something I'd feel more comfortable waiting for someone more senior to weigh in on.
  15. The two Epics she was watching quickly became consumed in a fight with another group, dark figures dashing about. One of the first two Epics, the teleporter, vanished entirely after a moment before reappearing and getting swarmed by the new figures. These new people concerned her, to have such a large number of Epics with physical abilities was not particularly common. Were these a group sent by the MEE? Regardless, sticking around did not seem to be a wise decision. She opened her real eyes, dismissing the projection. A sudden thump behind her announced another presence right on top of her. She screamed softly in surprise and fear, wondering how on earth one of them had managed to find and sneak up on her like that. An instant later a hand covered her mouth, stifling her scream and holding her in place. It took her a frightened moment to make out the figure standing before her. Nighthound? But what... how? He shifted his hand off of her mouth, reaching down to her neck. Comforting her? Quickly she realized what she must look like and tried to cover her expression with one of her masks, but it was no good. She couldn't hide like this, not when he was looking at her real body, all of her vulnerable flesh layed out right before a High Epic in something that could almost have come from her nightmares. "I would have preferred our first meeting like this to be more… cozy but I’m afraid the other two may have heard you screaming. I’d be my pleasure to assist your escape, my lady.” She realized that he had been speaking to her, though she could barely hear him over the pounding of her heart and her internal screaming. "You- um... if you wouldn't mind... cutie." She said, attempting to adopt her usual nonchalance and pick up their previous flirting the way he was. An image of her briefly coalesced nearby, a subconscious attempt to maintain her mask but it was quickly gone. She couldn't hide behind her projection while her real body was still here. "I'll er, try to distract them." She amended, closing her eyes and sending her mind out. Leaving her body with an Epic she barely knew did not seem like the most rational idea, but at the moment she was acting on fear, not logic. And fear was telling her that she needed her mind to be elsewhere right now. A projection of her appeared within her house once more, as it coalesced it let out a scream before running from the window and letting the projection collapse. Her eyes fluttered open again, slightly less fearful than she had been a moment ago, though still darting around frantically as she made sure that no one else had snuck up on them in that short moment. "Let's go."
  16. @Elodin, only just caught up but wouldn't an EMP pulse destroy all of Eleanors technology as well? The Voidus disease is an awesome disease. It's like having your tonsils out except instead of eating ice-cream you eat cookies and instead of not talking you have to not anything because you're too busy making character profiles.
  17. Scadrial pretty easily, way more magic users than Roshar has as well as better technology. I think a group of soldiers with rifle could take down a Shardbearer pretty easily actually.
  18. I could make another character?
  19. Serena stood up, pulling her book up with her and turned to look at the pair. An exchange student? Did they mention something like that? She cast her mind back to her yearly letter from the school, she didn't remember anything about a transfer student but then they might not be likely to tell all the prefects. Well he didn't seem likely to interrupt her studies and she was a role model for the school, they'd do best to be welcoming to a foreign student. "Of course." She replied "The head boy and girl are probably supposed to talk to him anyway." She was about to turn back to her book when she remembered her manners. "Pleased to meet you." She said to the boy - Victor. "Serena Lockheart, Ravenclaw prefect."
  20. Works for me.
