  1. Or maybe Neverthere is a closet alcoholic and it just helps me get into her head?
  2. On that note... I've found that wine helps.
  3. An Epic Corpsemaker could have used to find her? Well there was the obvious case of Streetwise, the Epic she'd intermittently been watching to steal some of Corpsemakers intel. The best way to see what was happening in the city had always been to spy on other spies. But then how had Streetwise known to try and find her? Was he just scouting her out to try and recruit her to the Dominion. Could Timeport have mentioned her to Corpsemaker? Or could he have found her while she was spying on the Dominion and decided to respond? She wasn't entirely sure how Streetwise's ability worked, she'd even thought he might just be another Astral Projector, albeit one with more limits on where he could appear. But what if he left no visible clue at all as to where he was watching. He could have noticed her peeking out from one of the Dominions walls or perhaps he didn't even use vision to spy, maybe he just knew what was happening. Either way, it seemed like he was the cause, regardless of what the motive was behind it he was one of the only Epics who could have found her, and the only one at all with a connection to Timeport. Even if he wasn't the one who tracked her down this time, the fact that she was on their radar now meant that he would be tracking her down from now on. "Just the one." She replied, her expression habitually slipping into a vacant half-smile and tone slipping up half an octave. "Streetwise. Information Epic, capable of finding out what's going on anywhere in the city and I believe the reason that Portlands foremost museum now requires elevator access." Her mind was rapidly cycling through options, she didn't know Streetwises exact range but from what she'd gathered the museum was somewhere he couldn't spy in anymore so it had some limitations. At the least she had to guess that her range was bigger than his, she could escape the city, blend in with the other refugees fleeing the developing turf war. But she had few places to hide outside the city, and none were as secure as the safehouses she'd setup here. She'd lose her contacts, her suppliers. But how could she stay in the city? She didn't know of any other Epics who could make her house fly like the museum, Thoughttown was well guarded and had plenty of other Epics but the MEE had already taught her that she didn't work well with a bunch of other people. Lightwards and the Empire were a smaller group but she couldn't begin to trust a faction led by someone leading a dinosaur herd while being manipulated by an insane teleporter capable of and probably willing to turn the entire city into chocolate. That only left... She glanced at Nighthound one more time, she'd called him her prince charming in jest but he really had come to her rescue, presumably while on a job for his sister if her presence was anything to go by. Did he actually like her? Or was he just one of those Epics who acted nice to get a better reputation and more followers? She could hardly stay in a city on the brink of war, with an entire faction of supervillains after her just for the sake of a cute guy with a sturdy chest could she? Her eyes were drawn downwards to a hole in Nighthounds shirt, the blood stain had mostly dried up with the wind from their fight but it was still a shot straight through his body. "Oh." She said, voice dropping back to her normal tone. "Um.. I'm sorry I had to, you know. Shoot you and all." How did you apologize for shooting someone? Did he even feel pain really? And how did you segue from that into asking whether or not you should stay in the city or not. "Oh to hell with it." She muttered before taking a deep breath. "Can I stay with you for a bit?" She asked tentatively, glancing upwards as demurely as she could manage and batting her eyelashes slightly for good measure.
  4. I don't think any medication ever invented could make someone see him in a virtuous light. Perhaps it makes him seem less completely horrific I suppose but that's about it.
  5. I definitely should have got that.
  6. Admittedly I am on my meds again but no it wasn't obvious enough for me On a different note, is there anyone in Salem who'd object to skipping to the next game day? Any leftovers can be dealt with in flashback if needed but I'd like to move plots forward and get the Arena started again.
  7. The insanity is always there when I check, but that's probably because I bring the insanity with me
  8. Insanity. They always bring insanity.
  9. Because we all want to see what the next lot of tags will be obviously
  10. It is but this isn't exactly direct incorporeality, I would assume that to be the case if the writing hadn't specifically said that Eternity walked rather than glided or flew. Probably the easiest solution to the problem though.
  11. The question is how though, either he doesn't become incorporeal when he walks which would create other problems including but not limited to destroying the entire state every time he does so because he just accelerated something with infinite force, or the ground also becomes incorporeal in which case he'd be bringing the entire earth outside of time which seems a bit OP and would also generate a whole bunch of other problems.
  12. How does he walk during frozen time then? If he's incorporeal he'd sink through the floor.
  13. I suspect that it's likely because Roshars magics are more loosely grouped than on Scadrial, Brandon has said that depending on how you count it there's either 10 or 30 magic systems on Roshar which implies that each Surge is closer to a Magic System than Surgebinding is as a whole. But then again in the same interview he said you could technically count each Misting as a separate one so still hard to say.
  14. So I did. Well no helping it now, need to find somewhere for him.
  15. And now he already has a chapter icon! Yep, but not to great effect unless it was collected back together again.
  16. Voidus' random Epic of the day: BubbleBurst Primary power: Can cause detergents to explode violently, explosion dependent upon size of detergent. Secondary power: Detergent manipulation, can control the movement of liquid detergents to a small extent, cannot exert force greater than what he would be able to exert with his arms but is capable of fine and large-scale control. Tertiary power: Surface tension manipulation – can manipulate the surface tension of liquids, allowing him to turn simple bubbles into very solid balls that feel like concrete.
  17. Fine with me, he's NPC now isn't he?
  18. 3 months this time, we're seriously losing our touch.
  19. Yeah it'd probably be better if Elsa just became a more active character.
  20. Scribbler was having difficulty keeping track of who was where with Shiny Sparkle teleporting all over the place. I mean, how was she supposed to defend the people in the clinic if she didn't know where they were? For all she knew some of them could have been teleported halfway across the country by now. After all, Shiny had managed to get a squid for her, her teleportation ability obviously had a pretty significant range. She almost jumped out of her skin when Shiny teleported right next to her again, accompanied by Lyla this time and began whispering in Scribblers ear. Sparkle? Do I have anything to make things sparkle? She wondered as she processed the teleporters words. Oh yeah, I didn't get time to use it yesterday before Reader busted me but I was going to put some glitter on Arseys socks too. Glitters kindof like sparkles right? She didn't even question why she was still listening to what Shiny said, the woman simply exuded complete and utter confidence along with a kind of exuberance that just caught her up in it. A small tattoo slid around her feet, working it's way from the sole to the ankle before beginning to climb her calf, moving over her hips and stomach before finally reaching her neck where it began to peel off from her skin. She accompanied it with one of her minor combat tattoos, she mostly just used it for scaring people away or distracting them but she supposed it would work here too. A tiny rocket appeared at her shoulder before shooting into the ceiling, carrying the other tattoo with it the firework exploded, sending a small cascade of smarks throughout the room before she actualized the second tattoo and the sparks were joined by a small rain of glitter, the lingering light from the firework reflecting off of the glitter made a sparkly explosion that could almost be mistaken for one of Shinys actually, Scribbler was overall rather impressed with the effect and took a mental note to try experimenting with it again, there were a few orphans around town, remnants of Koschei's time that she visited occasionally, they might enjoy a trick like this. "So... er... Lyla, what exactly are you doing here?" She asked tentatively.
  21. Waaaaaaah!cktrack
  22. Confirmation that Backtracks official codename in the Dalles is Code W?
  23. That would go against both the non-obvious resolution rule (What exactly would a mod be?) and the size/energy restriction. Nope, he provides no additional information or control, the object is changed based on a kind of idealized form of the word he is changing it into with some elements of randomness. Switching letters is part of the generic profile as a possible ability at that level, this Epic can't do that, sorry for the confusion there. This is more transmutation than creation
  24. Short answers: Yes he can use it more than once, yes he can alter mass though he is limited in the size he can turn things into or from, any time he focussed on air it would come up with air along with a few other properties of the air in that immediate area. Long answer: His full power profile and the sections for the generic version of each of his abilities:
  25. So I'm trying to revitalize Salem again, some of that may be resolved by some characters being adopted since I think a few scenes were waiting on characters whose writers are not regular contributors anymore, but I also remembered an idea someone had a while ago to turn a part of the city into a weird nightmarish realm, somewhat reminiscent of the Halloween RP we did ages ago. That person hasn't been on the site in a few months but the plot could still work pretty easily and I even had an Epic in mind for it (Because of course I did). Problem is that this is one of my slightly more obscure Epic ideas so it may cause some problems and would definitely need approval first. Spell-binder Primary power: Spelling alteration - can trasmute or alter any non-living object to varying degrees by altering the spelling of it. Can either add, remove or change a single letter to the spelling of an object. (Example: Could change air into fir and create a tree where there was previously just air, could change heat into heal to cause a flame to turn into healing energy, could turn cups into cup and remove all but one from a group) Can only change the spelling into a word that already exists and is well known. Secondary power: Information Overlay, can see the true properties of all objects in his surroundings, appears similar to a user interface like in games, details the name of objects/people and some of their properties. (eg. Book: lukewarm, contains pages, white, combustible)
