*Sharpens spikes* Do you have the WoB on that? Brandon in the past has been pretty clear that nothing set on earth is Cosmere.

A rock suddenly appeared on one of the nearby bar stools, one of the pieces of metal protruding from it piercing through the cushioning. Whoops. Hoping that no one noticed that, the rock sat, waiting to be served.

It's a shortening of 'translation gem' a mystical gem that allows you to read and understand other peoples typos Yeah we'd planned for Obliteration to be involved at some point, I'm not sure if we had many firm plans though other than 'Obliteration explodes'

Yeah I'd rather not to a revisit of the old RP with so many key players missing.

That's what all the original threads were for

Mentioned in-book. That's why the RP was set there, all we're told in the books is that warring Epics turned the entire site into a wasteland. So what happened in Oregon?

There's a little orange box with an upwards arrow on the right hand of posts, clicking on that will do it.

Most of Salem would have been flat out leveled. So excluding anyone who got out early there isn't likely to be many left from there.

Well at least one is moving to Edmonton so not all of tgem.

Well Nighthound died so, Humanity, Humanity won.

The last joke anyone ever makes. -
Sounds great to me. I think we're going with most of the factions not having hard borders, unless you mean the borders for Epochs powers? In which case I think we can play a bit loose with it. It was destroyed? I have a good idea as to how one of the cities were destroyed but as for the others (Though apparently I never actually posted my final wrap up so I might still get to that), I'd say chalk it up mostly to just the general collateral damage from so many Epics fighting it out, Astoria's government destabilizing would have unleashed a flood of very powerful Epics on the state. Mary and the Metal could have pretty much single handedly destroyed the state, as could a few others (Arsenal comes to mind)

Something to do with the Reckoners, maybe killing a High Epic I think?

I tracked down the ones for all the characters I'm porting over along with their chapter headers. And then I started rereading old question threads, sometimes I forget just how much random insanity and hilarity occurred in those chats. You guys are all amazing. EDIT: Having reread some old plans I'm kind of tempted to have both the momentum twins still alive and having one hunt the other to Edmonton, their story was the one I probably planned the most, but I could tell it through flashbacks and general backstory too. Any thoughts?

So it's been a long time since these words were last said but...

Definitely not. Some day you may even find out why. I don't advise picking up puppies that are wandering through the Dark Alley but hey, *shrugs* your planets funeral. -

You may have been spiked the moment you joined because we suspected you would be (I actually do have a PM to confirm this) -

You're welcome to try. We may have ensured certain safeguards were in place when you first joined the DA. -
While I do agree that gifting is probably a pretty generic case, and the way Brandon phrased it almost sounded like Gifting comes from something else completely. But other powers do almost universally have some distinction from the generic case, it's one of the things that made David suspect Firefight being an illusionist, that he was too generic of a fire Epic.

We just throw in some Feruchemical gold and trust that they have a good enough instinct to tap it and heal the exploded brain. -

Not having a disclaimer just means the consumers of your products aren't as informed. We, in our endless quest to promote science and knowledge, ensure that all consumers of DA baked goods have the necessary knowledge to make the correct decision. When we're being particularly efficient we spike the knowledge directly into them so there's no way they could miss it. -
Didn't we go with not having individual sectors controlled by a faction? I thought it was going to be more of a factions control a small area of space near their HQ but not a whole section of city.
-
The Reckoners do seem like the most likely faction to radically change their behaviour based on Steelhearts death and would have the most information about the event and what it means. Or it could be a cell tracking the Oregonian refugees to prevent the massive destruction that happened in Oregon from repeating itself.

Works for me I like the random backfiring part, it's just better to have at least some limits on the scope I think so that it doesn't feel as much like a Deus Ex Machina if he uses some new power that gets him out of a bind.
