Truth be told there are very few who might ever strictly speaking fit that mold. It is my personal belief that "Evil" is something that is so difficult to apply to people that it is almost better not to even try. Actions can be evil, but the person doing them doing them is a much greater deal. To me if you define a person as evil then there can be no room for anything else they must be in their very essence "Evil". People are so much more experiences shape a person, background shapes a person the list is extensive to say that a person who does something wrong is evil is a very high bar indeed. As many have pointed out here things are rarely cut and dry especially here in SA. Taravangian is doing what he thinks will save all of humanity. Are his actions horrific. 100% yes, but is he himself evil not at all an easy thing to say. Sadeas does truly awful things which can only be described as "Evil" yet what of the man who once felt a deep friendship with both Dalinar and Gavilar. How can his essence be Evil and still leave room for that. Not to mention that strictly speaking he is an average alethi no worse no better. The list of characters, but the facts remains that to define a person as "Evil" is a difficult task indeed in my estimation.

The Shard made me aware of certain things that one might miss if they are not doing a deep reading of the book. This opened my eyes and created a far deeper appreciation for the complexity of the cosmere as a whole.

We all have scenes that we would love to see in Oathbringer, but are there any scenes that we expressly do not want to see? For me a reconciliation between Amraam and Kaladin would be horrific. The Stormfather getting revenge on Kaladin would also be awful. Well fellow Sharders what do you think?

The Nightwatcher's P.O.V would be fascinating as would the Stormfather. Aladar or Sebarial could be decent. Lopen's mother would be hysterical.

1st well the everstorm either did not have a 100% conversion rate and Rayse should demand his money back or maybe it is less powerful the more it travels? 2nd As people have noted Shallan's dissociative state is rather odd and disconcerting. She is withdrawing from reality which from a mental standpoint means that she is not coping with the issues that she faces.This could prove rather dangerous down the road especially if "Brightness Radiant" begins to develop a truly distinct personality. 3rd Adolin himself seems to be almost dissociative in his new persona. He seemed ready to tell her about the murder and even tried to hint at it, but instead of confiding the truth in the woman that he loves he instead adopts the mask and identity of the swords master. This may well get worse as the guilt gnaws away at him. It will be interesting to observe how their states interact an possibly clash. 4th All I can say is O pattern you naive little spren.

Oh, I agree with you she is most certainly terrified for her life if she is still alive. She is probably hiding without a major entourage. She and whoever may be with her would only remember to take one if they were in a rational state of mind which at this point is doubtful. They would have fled as quickly as they could to escape the mobs.

@Calderis If she is hunkered down in fear I doubt very much that she has the time to answer them. It is also very possible that she was forced to flee the palace and as a result she can't well answer the spanreeds. It also may be that those who are currently in charge don't know how or are unable to use the spanreeds. Maybe they were destroyed in the riots or any number of other possibilities.
