    I suppose it's something you could always take your time doing and you can take a lot of pride in!

    Yeah it's made me wonder if the previous seasons were better because there was much more source material and GRRM only gave them an outline for this season. Looks like the writers haven't been able to fill in the blanks to the standard we expect which is a shame.

    I think the main issue is that it's feeling rushed which takes away from what GoT was/is. We used to enjoy seeing someone travel from King's Landing to Winterfell and it taking 3/4 episodes, meeting others along the way and delving into their character arcs. Now it takes Bronn half an episode to do it and it does not feel completed. I imagine that if it were fleshed out, the story would be fine. An extra season could have meant the Night King being dealt with one season and Cersei the next but it's almost like they just want it over with.

    I'm pretty sure Adolin takes like 7 heartbeats and I vaguely remember Sanderson being specifically asked this question. I cannot find any further information though so I hope someone can help out. Unless I'm wrong....

    Yeah I'm sure I read that WoB before. I still really wanna know what the end goal is, WHY are there these stories and what is going to happen?

    The one main mystery I have is how this is all gonna tie in. Are we getting Cosmere Avengers? Who's the big bad? What's the endgame? (pun intended) I imagine we will slowly get these answers trickled through but i'm impatient!

    Why does someone always have to die? If this has to do with swearing the 4th ideal then I imagine a group would be involved for Kaladin.

    I sometimes wonder if a movie is best, it worked for LOTR; sure but I don't know if these novels can be simplified enough. TV series on an HBO budget would be surreal. It's why I cannot wait for Wheel of Time!

    Welcome!! I second @Elegy, Stormlight Archives are my favourite however they are long and engaging. Probably best to finish Mistborn then move onto Warbreaker or Elantris!!

    Perhaps the spoiler rule should be that the thread is spoiler-free. It's such a pain reading these spoiler filled posts when the show has now been out a few days.

    I don't know where you're from but here in the UK you can buy Secret History and Edgedancer separately in hardback. For the price though you'd be as well as buying Arcanum

    The Arcanum is full of short stories from each world. You don't have to read them all however I feel they do add depth to the story if you read the previous books before doing so. I end up reading it last on my re-rereads because of the slight spoilers some stories contain.

    I'm sure it isn't mentioned, just that he has one but it's never been into given a description of any depth.
