  1. The movie is actually a sequel to the series. In order to fully understand the movie, you'll have to read all seven. There is also a follow-up television series, which will cover a backstory relating to the fourth book of the series.

  4. It's actually @Delightful ? Oh! Huh. Name change. Cool.
  5. Use a specific color scheme like how the Returned do.
  6. These are all your theories right? 8.1/10 Heh. Hoid loves bacon.
  7. Happy birthday, Ecthelion III! Many happy returns!

  8. I haven't seen Stalag 17, but I have seen Enemy at the Gates. Honestly, I thought this movie was too dramatized in its portrayal. That, of course, is just my opinion, but whatever. No. Anything del Toro has directed fits under "horror" or "action". Also, "trippy weird alien stuff"
  9. A List of the Greatest War Films: 1. Saving Private Ryan 2. Schindler's List 3. The Great Escape 4. The Bridge on the River Kwai 5. The Guns of Navarone 6. All Quiet on the Western Front 7. Lawrence of Arabia 8. Empire of the Sun 9. American Sniper and 10. Grave of the Fireflies
  10. @Delightfully Smoak Congratulations from the Captains. It's pretty cool. As suggestions go, I would probably go for a Hallendren look from Warbreaker. Also, have the priest recite the marriage oration from The Princess Bride.
  11. I am not responsible for whatever you do because you watched this. Enjoy.

  12. I really like it because she's just so full of energy. Daisy Ridley just makes a good character through Rey. (This is shallow, but she's also really hot. Heh.)
  13. @Lindel The themes from old Westerns like The Magnificent Seven, True Grit, or The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly could set the mood. Or any song by Johnny Cash.
  14. I hope you fully recovered from that Joseph Bell hitting you on the head. 8.5/10
  15. Whoa! Cool! Welcome, comrade, to the Shard! You must take a cookie. They are delicious.

  19. This is Adolin's..uhh, I don't know, call it what you like. I thought love was only true in ancient tales Meant for someone else but not for me Love was out to snare me That’s the way it seemed Disappointment haunted all my dreams Then I saw her face! Now I’m a believer! Not a trace, of doubt in my mind! I’m in love, and I’m a believer. I couldn’t leave her if I tried. I thought love was more or less a freelance thing The less I gave the more I got, oh yeah! What’s the use of tryin’ All I get is gain When I wanted sunshine I got pain. Then I saw her face! Now I’m a believer! Not a trace, of doubt in my mind! I’m in love, I’m a believer! I couldn’t leave if I tried. Then I saw her face! Now I’m a believer! Not a trace, of doubt in my mind! Now I’m a believer, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Now I’m a believer! Then I saw Shallan! Now I’m a believer! Not a trace, of doubt in my mind!
  20. Hey, just throwing this out there, but there are two Captains Domon. It would be pretty interesting to see one feature on two guys.
  21. Nooo, not yet, but I've heard it's amazing. 97% on Rotten Tomatoes.
  22. Whoever reads this review should have watched the movie first, because if you haven't, GO WATCH IT RIGHT NOW!!! You have been warned. Princess Mononoke. I don't even know where to begin. It's a terrific movie. But then again, most of Studio Ghibli's films tend to be amazing. (Except Tales from Earthsea) The film starts out with the protagonist Ashitaka, fighting a horrifying demon of corruption. You instantly get hooked to the story, eager to find out more. Ashitaka is cursed while fighting, and to cure himself, must travel west. Unfortunately, he can never return to his village. It is very depressing. To make things clear, this animated movie is PG-13. Some of the violence is very graphic, and is very shocking when you first see it. Ashitaka's curse helps him kill enemies, but to devastating effect. He decapitates two samurai with arrows. The plot revolves around Ashitaka's journey to "see hate with eyes unclouded" and introduces two villains, who desire to kill the Great Forest Spirit and take its head to the Emperor. The titular character, Princess Mononoke, is a human girl raised by the Wolf God. Her name is actually San. Mononoke is more of a title, meaning demon or spirit. Ashitaka wants to aid the animals in keeping the forest safe, but also wants the humans to live in peace with nature, putting him in a difficult position. When San attempts to kill Lady Eboshi, the leader of Irontown who is hired to kill the Forest Spirit, Ashitaka stops them both, leaving with San even when he is mortally wounded. She almost kills him, but hesitates when he calls her "beautiful". It shows the human side of her character, and defines the arc of their development. I also appreciated the way it depicted women's rights, if that makes any sense. Lady Eboshi employs women, many of who are former prostitutes. I liked how they are given a second chance and are also given authority to choose for themselves. I won't spoil the ending, but know that I loved the way it did. Princess Mononoke is a fantastic film, and you should watch it if you have the chance.
