About dieting... be careful. Everyone. I'm 23 years old. About 15 years of body image disorders (I don't really remember when it started) and 7 years of eating disorders. 2 of them fighting back - and gaining weight. Finally ok with how I look even though I'm bigger than 7 years ago. Started losing weight in a healthy way for the first time in my life. I know now something very important. Don't ever try to lose weight if you hate your body. It might just push you over the edge. Love yourself first. And don't do it for others. Do it only for your own health. I have no problems with showing my face, if fact, I actually discovered taking pictures of yourself and appreciating them helps a lot with body issues. I chuckle every time I try to buy foundation, because "ivory" is to dark for me last time i got myself a "white porcelain" So pale that even my freckles are pale. Not brown, like normal human freckles, but tan, sandy colour. I reflect light. I have a slight obsession with my hair. I care for it extensively. But it works, my hair, dyed copper-gold with henna, reflect light too! My eyes are also very bright, and they change colour in different settings. People tell me I look like my mum a lot which is very sweet.

I quite like your idea @Extesian. But I just thought of another thing. Genetics. Kenton's mother was a Darksider and yet he's white and blonde. He should be mixed race, assuming genetics work somewhat like in the rest of cosmere. He's not. So I guess there must be some magic involved with his whiteness. Sigh. In Khriss' essay in Arcanum Unbounded it is said that the big sun is blue-white supergiant. Blue-white supergiants emit lots of UV light. The planet probably doesn't really have a UV filter, as the Darksiders have dark skin protecting them from UV light from their white dwarf. So why in the name od sands Daysiders are light-skinned?

There was a theory I can't find now. But it was about humans coming to Roshar from Ashyn, and I like that idea a lot, because: - Ashyn is invested but it "currently has no Shard". - Ashyn is "mostly barren, with a few fertile patches" which might mean there could have been a catastrophic event on that planet. - Magic on Ashyn is getting powers by getting sick and it's kind of similar to boon/curse system in Old Magic of Nightwatcher (that is connected to a Shard, presumably Cultivation). I am going to ask about it at a signing in march.
