Maybe the size classes mean that metalminds store more in almost discrete steps, kind of like electron cloud sizes? So it'd be more efficient, per unit of volume, to wear a bead-bracer-bracelet than a solid bracer? I wonder if you'd have to insulate the beads from each other to prevent them from contact and thus becoming part of a larger metalmind, but not one in the next size class. And, secondly, do we know if size classes get more efficient or less efficient per unit of volume as the metalmind gets bigger? I was assuming less efficient in the previous paragraph, but now I'm not so sure.

I think extracting the iron from the hemoglobin in a person would either require directly oxygenating their blood through an IV (so they don't die while you remove their primary means of carrying oxygen in their blood), using hemocyanin and if needed have them burn the copper (either through medallions or removing the hemoglobin from a copper Allomancer), or putting them in a human-sized crucible and burning them to ash before their blood stops moving, and forming a spike as quickly as possible and stabbing it through the ashes before the person's Cognitive and Spiritual aspects depart. That last one, though extreme, is probably the best shot--we don't know if blood requires its main components to be Hemalurgically available, so if you get a machine that can burn, mold-iron-into-a-spike, and grab the white-hot spike and stab it through ash in less than a tenth of a second, the following sentence is true. You'll have a nice niche Hemalurgic cremation demonstration, neither practical nor very tactical, that gives results without a pulse, that might let you Pulse, depending on the subject; perhaps they didn't object to the experiment, but their expirement (pretend that adding "ment" is grammatically viable) makes them an object, ready for stabbing and steady in adding the power of metal, in a totally metal power(-intensive) item which may have an added effect, but mostly will connect the dead with the bread head plaid other person so they can perform an Art, using the preformed pArt (sorry), on which centers this post-mort' discussion. ...the crushing may have given a short concussion, but the heat forwent that worry, by using sheets to vent the flurry of ash in a hurry. Thank you, Invocation, for providing a great question that lent itself to such a monstrosity of rhyming, wordplay, and definition-ignoring paragraph.

Long Game 49/Anonymous Game 3: Window to the Past
Walin replied to little wilson's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I'll also join in the player-or-pinch-hitter group. If I come out of kinda-hiatus short hiatus, I'll try to do it with more posting (and more words) than I've been doing in recent games.- 1062 replies

Thank you, Jondesu, for great writeups and a great game. I wasn't as active as I should have been, seeing as how my role was vital to the village win con. Dalinar and Fifth did well until they were killed; one thing I'm curious about is how Dalinar PM'ed just me, and knew he was going to die. Had you messaged an elim that you scanned the same cycle? No matter how it happened, I lived to tell the scans to the village. Only once Gandalf died (and he PM'ed me a couple hours before he died) did I get very invested in the game; that next cycle, with me messaging Cadmium Compounder and Elandera, was insane. I claimed to both of them, because I couldn't risk being lynched. However, the reasons for trusting each of them were different. For Cadmium, he claimed to me and said he had messaged all others who voted on me, as well as taking steps to make me a trusted figure in the village. For Elandera, she had voted extremely early on Rathmaskal, before the lynch was settled onto either Rath or me for a target. Had Elandera been an elim, that vote would be a waste of an elim life--so she was trustworthy as well. Then, they both got promptly killed the next cycle. I got super paranoid, hoping I'd be able to catch some elims before I went down. The Gondor Spies were on my mind, and as Jondesu saw in my GM PM, I planned to strike a deal with them--protection for the Elven Handmaiden in return for, well, a chance to win before the elims. One thing I'm confused about is how I was chosen for a scapegoat. I don't know whether or not that was what the elims intended, or whether it was even deliberate at any point, but it sure was effective at stalling the village. Good going on that; I stayed a red herring for a long time. The Gondor Spies were a great idea, and if I ever run an SE game, I ask if I can use the concept of false roles like the Gondor Spies. It was such a huge part of my planning, and from the readings I've gathered from the elim doc, it was also a huge part of their planning as well. Thanks for a great game, everyone!

Man, this game was fun. I apologize for being so inactive; seeing as being quiet helped me avoid detection in my first time as an eliminator (which was also my first time as a pinch hitter), I decided that doing so would be a good strategy yet again. It was effective, but I didn't RP very much for an LG, nor did I contribute much to the elim team. Mr Doctor, you carried the team so well you may as well have been Fezzik on the side of the Guards. You ought to have been the Princed, were it not for RNG. Steeldancer, thank you for a great game with great writeups, and everyone, well played! I hope to be a lot more active after the summer ends.

Twenty-seven minutes. Let’s cross our fingers, Companions.
-
Ah, never mind then. I thought since there were 5 other people who weren’t me, and assuming a spread of 3 each for Gondor Spies and Agents of Mordor, I would be the only villager. I also thought that even with balancing, there would be a majority of elims were it not for the other elims. In that case, I vote Itiah V. Sorry if you’re a Companion; we have no other options.
-
Dang...this game is definitely going to the elims--I think it's time to unleash all poison at our disposal, if there are any Companions left. ----- Dorter looked around the campfire as he received the sobering news of the deaths. Then, he counted on his fingers with a frown. Next, a double take. "Aw, heck, I'm the last one left, aren't I?" A grin slowly spread across his face as items appeared in his vision to select. "Well, unfortunately for those who wish to kill me, I've got one more trick up my sleeve--this isn't a quicktime event. I have all the time in the world, to choose and to ponder. While I don't have any choices that will help me win, I can make sure you'll never do so. Time, this is your stop." ----- Good game, guys; last Companion, let's take these guys down. If there are any left. If I had set my machinations in place earlier, we may have won. But, I fear I may be am too late, my confused, unfortunate, self. Go Frodo, throw the ring in the Pit of Doom! Retroactively save us by killing Sauron once and for all! ...If the evil in Mordor is entirely controlled by Sauron, that is. If there's another villain, there is no hope for us left. *flips chess board, claims victory anyways* ... I must ask--are the elims hoping to get both win conditions, or are you going to battle it out?

Great death-RP, and great writeup. Unfortunately, while this proves I’m not of Mordor (though I could still be a Gondor Spy), two more villagers have died. And we have no scanner. If poison is how we fall, I would like to say that I prefer it to a tie-off. If anyone is a Gondor Spy, and is willing to talk, PM me. I believe we can come to an agreement...
-
I don’t want to die yet—I have to prove my innocence before the game ends. I’ll vote Rathmaskal for now.
-
I...don’t have much in the way of evidence. Just Dalinar’s PM; he told me he thought I was a Companion due to the suspicion I was under— I gotta go; I’ll further defend myself later.
-
Gosh, guys...None of the suspicion is coming from my actions—until this cycle. It was all because I got protected each time I was going to get lynched, via eliminators. They’ve been trying to steer suspicion out of the game by focusing it all on me—by keeping me alive, they have a suspicion heat-sink that lets them act more suspiciously than they have to. While killing me does remove that ability from them, I say we lynch Rath and see if I was telling the truth. Mislynches aren’t an option, and either way you slice it, an eliminator dies—if Rath is a villager, then double-dose me on poison—I’ve got one antidote.
-
Ok, time to reveal...well, not my hand, but someone else’s hand. Before the night was over, Dalinar role-claimed to me as Gandalf the Grey. He scanned...and he saw. (One sec, I have to check the scans) Rathmaskal is an Agent of Mordor. Elandera seemed highly suspicious to Dalinar, and the first person he scanned died—so those are the only scans he shared with me. I’m being used as a scapegoat, and a tool—suspicion is heaped on me, and we tie due to votes on people with evidence against them. I believe that Agents of Mordor are on both sides of the ties, to make sure that no one dies each cycle. C’mon, let’s put on some Power Armor and let the CCC (Center for Chaos Control) take care of the rest. The Companions must live.
-
I don’t have a role; I’m a regular Companion. I’ve got a vial of poison, and haven’t used my vial of antidote; I forgot to reread the rules after the game started, thus forgetting that everyone gets an antidote. I’m out of real information to share, but I have a bunch more bluffs waiting for use. Be warned; I may have some useful information by the time I survive this Night. ————— Dorter was asleep, but at the same time explaining himself at the campfire. Quantum replacement was great, though once they re-merged he’d only have gotten have as much sleep as he would have gotten alone. Of course, talking to the others was extremely important—he couldn’t be killed before he completed the mission with the rest of the Companions.
-
I will explain all (well, all that’s relevant) tonight. Once I can type it all up at once.

“No wait”
-
I’m online for a little bit, and it looks like I’m up for the lunch. Here’s part of my roleclaim: I have a full vial of Antidote. To prove it, if you want to do so before lynching me, and if you’re willing to claim ownership of poison, poison me and I’ll survive. ——— Dorter didn’t have much time, so he clicked on the first option. Somewhat fortunately for him, it was a quicktime choice anyways. Unfortunately, it didn’t look like he picked correctly.
-
I am still out of town at this point, and will not be able to defend myself against suspicion sufficiently. I’ll just wait for the accusations and suspicion to come to a climax before roleclaiming (piece by piece, for I have items as well) in the Day phase. I’m assuming that the elims don’t want to kill me right now, seeing as I’m an easy lynch target tomorrow. Thus, I’ll start roleclaiming in the Day phase unless there’s a huge lack of posts this cycle—in which case I’ll want to improve my claim’s visibility by posting earlier. —————— Dorter knew any false move could make him appear suspicious, and thus available for killing. He decided to use the Shadozer, but then remembered he was near a number of shadow-producing trees. In that case, he’d just use the Power Glove to defend himself should he encounter any attacks. After preparing himself, he went over to the party and explained that he’d have to go scout for a bit.

I am going to be semi active for the next day or two, due to being out of range for Internet. I should have said this earlier, but I got out of range yesterday too.

"Whoa." Well, that certainly was an interesting trial. Dorter was declared Not Guilty, after it was found that he had been stuffed into a web wrapping with a knot tied on the outside. Before the spider came into camp, Dorter was accosted and stowed away the moment he met with it. Caught by surprise, all Dorter could say was "Oh...hello, mister Spider," before the stick it was inexplicably holding knocked him out. Dorter awoke to darkness, and was met with three choices: Knife, Shout, or Opacinator. He chose Shout, which let him escape the webbing and reach a long cutscene in which he was walked over to camp. Approaching the first face he recognized, he greeted "'ey, buddy"--to which he then stopped talking, met the person's eyes, and heard them start talking. "There has not been an incident in this group for weeks, and the day you show up, this happens." The speaker gestured to the spider's carcass, and explained what happened. There had been a spider attack, while Dorter was on watch--and seeing as he was missing, suspicion fell on Dorter and others in the camp. It came to a climax as they determined who to throw into the fire to determine alliance to Mordor, but there was a tie. The group threw a d4 into the air--and it landed on its point. Soft ground does help, after all. Either way, no one died, but no one looked for Dorter to find and throw into the fire. (I took way too long to type this; no longer am I using word-for-word dialogue from the Henry Stickmin series. My RP will still be chock-full of references, though. Also, I forgot to check when I was signing up for the player list, but apparently it's spelled Dorters, not Dorders, so my character is named Dorter after the chip whose name appears in a loud cutscene.)
-
I will be Dorder, a drawer of stick figures and drinker of Don Dew. And I know my way around rings, if you catch my drift. I’ve yelled and gotten near to a close call, eaten some Dirt Mushrooms (they make you fall over, and bite the dust), and made a number of puns that also serve as apt descriptors of my personality. I’m Dorder the adventurer, and I’m not losing my humor for anything short of a Punishing dwarf.

What if You Were the Only Person on Earth for 24 Hours?
Walin replied to Draginon's topic in General Discussion
If I don’t know everyone is coming back the next day...I’d probably just try to figure out a “schedule for the end of society.” Trying to find the nearest grain silos, etc. stuff that doesn’t need maintenance that stores necessities, that sort of thing. But that’d probably happen after the first month. Looting and videogaming it is. -
Hmm. I have some suspicions with both Burnt Spaghetti and Elandera, and not Straw. Considering how the tie is, I guess I’ll just vote Burnt Spaghetti to avoid usage of iocaine. My reasons will remain unclear until next cycle, unfortunately.

Oh dang I don’t want to go inactive— so I’ll post here and then do it again later if I don’t forget. Sorry about that.
