I think that given the posts in the last few cycles so far, either Fifth Scholar is an elim, or Mr Doctor is. Or neither. But their discussion leads me to believe that they can’t both be elims, or else they’d be sabotaging each other pretty badly. I’ll just toss a vote onto Manukos, because it’s what the majority wishes. And I’d said that I would vote on someone already. @Sart, I do not have any more info or opinions to share with the thread, but hopefully this is a regular amount.

Alright, I’m online, and I will say this: I have been quite inactive; I haven’t read almost any posts except the ones that mentioned me, and I thought I would disguise that by posting entirely neutral half-RP posts. As I said earlier (about Night 2; not sure though), I mostly have the time to be active, but it’s a lot less time than I normally have, so I’m in the process of getting used to it. Regardless of my alignment, my inactivity means I’m not a good asset—so I should be lynched. On the other hand, it means I’m not a threat, and that suspicion should remain on others who have pointed fingers of their own. I’m going to stop being neutral pretty soon, if I don’t die; I think I’ve got enough info to analyze tonight and reveal in the morning.

Dang, I’m not gonna be active enough to get a good post for the fashion today. Let it be known that I would try to sell some air guitars with which you say “excellent” while using them.

Mid-Range Game 29: A Midsummer Night with No Moon
Walin replied to DrakeMarshall's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I want to give thoughts on this game, but all I can say right now is that it was very fun, and that the mechanics were such that I understood what was going on despite not knowing the lore. Well played, everyone! EDIT: Alright, here's my thoughts on the game (and this is an edit since I'm the last in the thread, and I don't want to double-post nor perform the art of thread necromancy). I loved playing as the Jester. I've started to play games with votes in recent games, and this time was one where I could do it with all abandon. I nullified my vote a couple of times, just so I could pretend to participate--I don't think I was much help to the village, but I do think I did a bit of sleuthing. I definitely didn't do enough to get a solid read for voting, however. Because of that, I ended up voting on myself a couple of times, or following the lynch train that was forming near the middle of the voting period. I really loved the writeups and RP--I want to read the Kingkiller Chronicles at some point, so that I can come back to another KKC game and get all the references. Hopefully I'll be active enough to post on the aftermath more promptly in my next games.- 406 replies

Welp, I’m posing for activity here—I’m busy for the next day or so . May as well post at least once per cycle rather than leaving it to the two-cycle limit.

I have no time to voice a lot of my suspicions right now, or check whether they’re founded, so I’m just going to give a memory of Bill Ted in support of today’s fashion. ———— The Iron Maiden. One of the coolest bands out there, and the guards were just going to bring it to Bill Ted. ”Radical!” He didn’t know how they had travelled back in time here, but he used a phone booth. One with awesome lasers and stuff. The one the Iron Maiden used would probably be bigger than a phone booth, and comfy too. He imagined trading them and meeting back up in the present. It wasn’t until a bit later, as they were being led into the dungeons, that Bill Ted realized they were talking about a torture instrument. A bad one. A really, really, bogus-bad one. ...but he escaped by deux ex machines because even an alternate-timeline movie has the same rating, and can’t show graphic depictions. (All of the above was not how it went in the movie; I forget what happened, but I do remember this set of dialogue: ”Bring them to the Iron Maiden.” ”Radical!” Bill and Ted escape pretty quickly after that conversation)

Well well well, it appears I have yet to garner lots of votes. It appears I am sufficiently entertaining for my survival, or at least neutral enough to avoid actions. I don’t have many suspicions right now, but I think I’m going to say that Doc12 may be the target of a coalition of people, or perhaps not. In my experience, having private discussion is no more beneficial than public discussion, except when you’re the elims. So scratch that; I’ve not nothing else to say lest I stop being a neutral player right now. This is an excellent adventure, but first it must be careful.

Hmmmm. Well, we should hope for Randuir to flip elim, but considering the conflict on the issue, I think we’ll also be able to narrow down a list of Miracle Max suspects. Max wouldn’t refuse to revive someone he thought was a villager, would he? I dunno; maybe they follow the town’s view regardless. So this probably isn’t the best indicator, but it’s better than claims. I’ll abstain from voting today, considering the fact that it is not even a Day phase.

I’m not going to vote. I may point the finger of suspicion, but that’ll happen later today. Perhaps. I don’t know if it’s the right time to weigh in on the suspicion of other people; I’ll just act as neutral as possible. Like, really neutral. Pretty much just being entertainment rather than a help to either side. I’d rather not get lynched or night-killed, and I also haven’t read many of the posts in recent cycles—any reads I make will be quite off-balance with common knowledge.

I have a habit with votes... I either like to play games with the voting, or follow the leader. That is, the lynch train. Last game, I voted on myself, but this time I think I’ll abstain from voting entirely unless a confession happens. But then, that person would be winning the lynch, so I wouldn’t need to vote anyways. I’ll share reads and such, though; I don’t have any at the moment. Skimming too much.

Wait, El is definitely Miracle Max? I saw the claim, and the RP, and some other stuff after Roadwalker died—but for now, I’m still not sure that she’s the healer unless I missed something (and I’ve missed a lot already). Ok, there’s a lot of discussion happening concerning Rand and Devotary, with much of the accusation happening from their own posts directed at each other. For right now, I’m going to stay neutral and out of it; I’m not sure what evidence I could bring to light to clear either of them.

Bill Ted was astounded. The best swordsman they had, after the previous Dread Pirate (named Westley) had abandoned his title, was dead. Bill knew the effort that had gone into his scheming for revenge, and the vehemence that Inigo had. And then he just up and died. It was astounding, inconceivable even. The deception which the Prince’s men used was too strong. Perhaps, was there even an attacker still among them? Of course not. The pirates would not die at their own hands; they had been trained by the Dread Pirate Roberts himself! It was bogus about the others, though. Bill wondered whether the convincing to kill innocents was done in the open, or in the shadows... Or if it was just an honest mistake—but that would be inconceivable.

Hey guys; I will be yet more un-posty than I have been before, due to adjusting to a new schedule. I'm just as not-busy as before, just at different times, and I'm learning how to budget time so that I can post rather than lurk in small intervals. I'll maybe post analysis or that summary I said I'd give, but probably only after 24 hours.

Ok, I didn't actually summarize the last few cycles very quickly. I'm going to give my summary late tomorrow, while digging out some quick RP to say I posted at least something. ----------------------------------- Bill Ted stared at the pirates around him, walking around in the hallways and looking for men to fight. It was a bogus day, with no soldiers encountered--but people were still dying. It was sometimes stabbing, sometimes iocaine, sometimes iocaine-laced stabbing, and death by bad rolls. Who would've thought that bringing all-natural rolls as rations would cause death upon eating just one at a time? He guessed it was just the natural ones' lack of any modifiers, like style or seasoning. Either way, Bill digressed. This was supposed to be an excellent adventure, fraught with fighting and with dying, but it seemed right now that it was just dying. He had to make a Bill Save (sorry, Will Save) just from not being able to fight anyone with swordplay. He'd lost his bonuses (I mean, spoils), or something like that, so unless he rolled a nat 20 (when somersaulting down a hallway to be sneaky) he'd probably get hit with a hostile. One that would kill him quickly, without style. Man, this was so bogus! The time machine had completely disappeared, too, so there was no going back to it and trying to fix it--and then taking a ride back to where there'd be awesome stuff. At least he was learning some history about tabletops. ------------------------------------ Sorry, the jokes in there were pretty packed. Deeply packed. If you didn't catch them, it was mostly tabletop gaming and Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure phrases and words.

Argh I forgot to do anything during the Night cycle! I'm gonna see if I can provide any helpful information by re-reading the last two cycles thoroughly and providing analysis. However, I have said before that I'm bad at analysis. And that I'd only provide neutral reads. So instead of analysis, I'm going to be providing a summary of events and the important bits. See y'all in about two to three hours. Knowing is half the battle, and I live for the fight. ...Because we're storming a castle, and fighting is what we plan to do, whether it be infighting or being out fighting.

Oh darn, I've been inactive But mark my words, I'll be reactive To any accusations with a word of thought That clears me or kills me, but it ought To be informative indeed and quite wordy Because if anything, a long post seems sturdy As an alignment defense. However, I may still fall under suspicion I have been known to change my rendition Of events, in accordance with knowledge granted By being evil, or by an alignment slanted I hope that here I don't seem too knowing So as to avoid a great flowing Of suspicion and hopping off the fence. TL;DR--I hope to post heavy analysis and not seem like I know stuff I shouldn't. I jump to conclusions, but I don't want it to cause my death. AKA Neutral reads only.

Is Bort not a voter? Everyone’s vote count doesn’t count Bort’s vote on me, unless it was cancelled. Lemme check. Also, Steel, I think that iocaine powder selections only result in neither or both people dying. Is that correct? Should we have a “I drink the other’s cup” but no “I poison my cup”? That’d be more balanced, methinks, unless the current method is indeed balanced. It’s been an excellent adventure with you all; see you in the aftermath if I don’t get revived.

If I die tonight, let everyone know that eagerness is what killed me. I joined so fast I went back in time to kill my history project which used a time machine. This is what broke the time machine, sending all historical figures (who had ridden in it) back to their own time, and sending another version of myself into the castle during the battle. And then paradoxes, thus I got lynched. Ow in othew woods, I bwoke time, so time kiwwed me in wevenge.

Alright, I think it's time for Miracle Max to claim so that they don't get mislynched. Here are my reasons for why everyone should want Max to survive, including the elims: 1. Prolonging the game means we can have more RP, more intrigue, more writeups...basically, having more fun with the game. 2. This player has to protect both villagers and elims for their win condition, which means that no one finds it a good idea to kill them on purpose. Unless they like to ride the edge of LyLo, or [abbreviation for Nothing but Mislynches] And if they claim, then we'll know one more person that's not an elim. Of course, there are other reasons to claim...such as getting the (eli)ambassador to give them the names of the night kill, for people to give pills to--and then to betray the elimbassador. Anyone who's not the real Miracle Max probably risks death in doing so, but I dunno how they'd get caught besides the real one claiming (or just anyone else claiming)--resulting in a bunch of IKYK

Mid-Range Game 29: A Midsummer Night with No Moon
Walin replied to DrakeMarshall's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Darn, I didn’t know rollover was so close. Walin. Whoops on that. Anyone have a lynch target they mean to hit tonight? We only have twenty minutes. Also, so as to not double post, I’m pretty sure Orlok is the Namer because of how the last message was worded. Anyone else get the message? I’ll share it next cycle if I’m able to do so.- 406 replies

Biww Ted was wiffin a gwoup of piwates wondewing about the fight. “Thewe’s gonna be some fighting we haph to do,” he said. “It’s so bogus.” On the othew hand, the time machine was also broken, so going back to having an excellent adventuww would not be happening today. If he could find some piwates to fix it, or get away from the fighting, he could do what he could to fix the machine. And then the adventuwing could begin again...if the time machine could still telepowt.

Mid-Range Game 29: A Midsummer Night with No Moon
Walin replied to DrakeMarshall's topic in Sanderson Elimination
They voted on Xino and unvoted so quickly it seems like they were somehow forced to do so by a role Xino has. I’m saying that Xino is suspicious for coming under and out of fire so quickly. I mean, I’m not being clear, but I am the Jester. ...But...I ought to be more clear about my reads. I don’t know if I have any but a lingering suspicion of those who voted on Xino, and Xino specifically.- 406 replies

Mid-Range Game 29: A Midsummer Night with No Moon
Walin replied to DrakeMarshall's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Huh...if appears my vote was nullified rather than set to a value of negative one. The vote values should be 7 on Arinian, because I had a deal with a Jester and a Skindancer to play tricks on my votes. Just kidding. I’m the Jester, I don’t know any Skindancers; I thought Arinian was getting hammered with the swap-from-Xino, so I wanted to prevent a tiny bit of death. And for that hammer last night, I accuse the Xino-voters of...something. Maybe they just found Xino suspicious, and Arinian more so. Xino for now.- 406 replies
