I was trying to find the last time they were approved to see what voidus had ranked their epic power as, but I can't find it. I will need @Voidus to weigh in. Being a returned would add 55 points to whatever score he had before. Also, I'm going to retire Mack, and replace him with Cam from HR, @Voidus can you give me a ranking on him?

It’s ok lol, Mac is just very touchy about this subject because Cam from HR with a mustache looks exactly like him. Its gotten him in a quite a few sticky situations.

Mac yelped, yelling "I'm authorized to be doing this!" as he turned around and saw that it was only Deteca. "Oh good, no DAHR people. Err um Joining the meeting yes. Uh yeah what meeting is this exactly? The one between the TUBA and DA reps? Yeah sure uh we will come I think right? Er sorry give me a second." He took a breath, calming himself down, reminded himself that there was no HR people here, and then continued talking. "We came by to pick up these people who are meeting with you, after the meeting was done, so we will just walk in after you guys and sit in the back till all's said and done." He glanced at Voidus and the Stranger, "Sound alright?" @Voidus @Fatebreaker

Mac glanced at voidus. "Maybe," He started carefully, "I could handle that. Most of them work for me anyway, and it would be unusual for you to handle individual promotions that far down on the ladder. I can give them bonuses for these recent jobs, does that sound good?"

Mac carefully walked out of the alleys next to Voidus, looking left and right to ensure that no one followed him. He breathed a sigh of relief when he didn't see anyone except for Voidus. "Storm it Voidus. Why do we have HR? I didn't know it was possible for something to have less soul than a lawyer." He shook his head sadly. "Well, at least we are here now, all safe and HR free." He reached up and rubbed his mustache, as if checking to make sure it was on right. "I poked my head by HR, to ask for clarification on recent safety policies, I know, I know, it was a necessary evil. They are trying to remove all the chairs from the alleys, and have somehow gained the ability to sense the location of chairs, so I would be careful. I know that I am switching all of my chairs to short benches with arm and back rests. Hopefully that technicality throws them off." He shook his head again, feeling his heartrate slowly lower after his near seminar experience.

"Yes, I think I'll join." Aylitha said, "Great, Now I thin-" Mac suddenly stiffened as he felt the alleys shift. Moved by a force of evilness so great that even the DA tried to avoid them. HR. "Run!" He whispered, "They're coming! Meet at Didgeridoo!" With that he stepped back and disappeared into the alleys. Having discovered that his latest mission was a red herring, Cam walked out of the alleys near the worldspike determined to do his job properly. "Hello Voidus, Stranger, Aylitha! Haven't seen you guys in a while!" He grinned while coming closer, "Sorry to bother you, but after you jumped over that chair earlier, I realized that chairs are a safety hazard. So now I need to remove the chairs from this alley, its a safety hazard you see. So if I could just slide on by here," He tried to edge closer to them, reaching for the chairs they were using. @Voidus @Fatebreaker @kenod

Speak of the devil, more department heads have shown up. Its almost like voidus knew it was going to happen. He grinned, "I have actually been promoted to the head of the Counterintelligence department. We were recently just discussing something that popped up concerning a new group in town, and were going to go stretch our legs and figure out what was going on with that. In fact, Voidus just mentioned asking the other department heads if they wanted to join us. So, would you? I imagine that despite your love for science it can get boring cooped up in a lab for all these years." @kenod

Mac felt the alleys shift behind him, and turned away from the Stranger and Voidus as a large black fox appeared next to the World Spike. Who... Wait. In the back of his mind, an early memory from his days in a research assistant resurfaced. Was that Aylitha? "Aylitha? Is that you? My gosh it's been forever! I'm Mac, we worked together on the early stages of [REDCTED]. What have you been up to in the Bioscience department for all these centuries?" Now that he could put a name to their face, he began to remember more about this Eldritch fox, how they had both came to the alleys around the same time, and while he focused far more on the external application of the DA's various technologies, they had delved deeper and deeper into the lifesciences. @kenod

I don't believe so, Mace was only ever referred to as a full feruchemist, even in E3 when he was killed, and he didn't come back. If you are referring to Mac, he did Return, but he only did so on Nalthis, after tapping huge amounts of connection to Nalthis, and removing all other investitures he had.

"Ok. When they let me know that they have completed their current objective I'll send them their next instructions, or we can deliver them personally," He grinned at the thought "Though you mentioned other department heads? I wasn't aware we had any to be honest. I thought they were kind of" He waved his hands in the air, as if to indicate that the departments had disappeared into the Void. The Trouble with saying things like, the other departments were gone, was that nothing is ever really gone. In the vast infinities of the alleys, you could technically find every single possible combination of atoms, much like the Library of Babel. People long thought dead sometimes wandered out of those alleys, but it didn't happen enough to rely on it. It just happened enough to make any statements about things existence annoyingly imprecise.

Mac's eyes widened. Did he hear the right? Voidus wanted them to go out to the front lines? His face broke out into a grin. "Of course!" This was going to be interesting. It had been ages since they had all fought together. "Poor plasmacore." He muttered, "Will we want to ask our field agents to join us? Or tell them to clear out? I feel we may break Lita by all showing up in the same spot at the same time, we nearly did at the group meeting." Huh, this has been a week of discoveries. The Stranger returning, the whole DA meeting, Voidus having a daughter. Wonder what else is in store? Imagine that, the current department heads all investigating plasmacore at the same time. They didn't stand a chance.

Mac nodded carefully, displaying nothing of the turmoil of fear, curiosity, surprise, and joy that he felt on the inside. He had done it! It had been years since he had been able to weasle a secret out of Voidus. Absolutely amazing! While Voidus was in charge, there were several things that Mac was better at then he was. Chief among them was spywork. Nothing was better than having a subject reveal to you so much more than you already knew. It did raise several questions however. Namely, When did Voidus have a family? Did the timelines even work out? These were sadly questions that would have to wait for another time. More pressing was his own impending possible doom. "Of course." He started slowly, "Though I have to ask, do you want her to get preferential treatment, or would secrecy be the priority? Excuse my questions but if I recall correctly this is completely uncharted territory, and to be honest I hadn't the slightest idea that you had a family. I am also slightly concerned about my own mortality at the moment, and the way you phrased that seemed to imply that if she encountered any danger I would be at fault, but knowing that you tend to be a rational person I would typically assume this wouldn't be the case, but again this isn't a typical situation..." He trailed off, hoping his rambling didn't portray his absolute terror. Though of course, it probably did. @Voidus

In between the slow rhythmic thumping of the guardians steps one could hear Macs purposeful steps as he made his way closer to the spike, and to the people talking at its base. Coughing lightly to announce his presence, though he knew it wasn't needed, he stopped a few feet away from both of them. "We have conducted preliminary reconnaissance, and things seem to be dying down inside the building. The evacuation of the city is progressing rapidly and should be complete soon, meaning that we can send in the troops if we decide to invade." He paused for a moment, then glanced up at Voidus. "We sent a team to contact TUBA leaders, and they are performing remarkably well," He looked at Voidus, gauging his reaction. "Laurelai in particular. Yes, she was a good find. Very unique investiture. Anyway, any thoughts about how we should proceed? While my men tend to be on the ground the most you two control the muscle of the DA, so I decided to talk to you guys before making any decisions." @Voidus @Fatebreaker

Not necessarily, we have conflicting WoB's on this, but at most it would be extremely difficult for a non nalthisian to return. You would need to be tapping huge amounts of connection or have a bunch of breaths in order to return. I don't think that anyone has returned in the alleyverse. I am aware of someone who went to Nalthis, then Returned after tapping huge amounts of connection as they died, but I am not aware of anyone who returned in the alleyverse. Also, returned are chosen by endowment, and she wouldn't probably pay attention to the alleyverse to choose returned, she doesn't even look outside of Nalthis. All of this is speculation, because reckoners isn't cosmere, but we have been treating epics as highly invested beings depending on their powers, but any amount of investiture interferes with investiture. In this case not only because investiture interferes with other investiture, but also because the investiture that we are assuming epics to have would connect them to a different thing besides Nalthis/Endowment, which would inherently make returning more difficult.

Yeah... the issue is that that power not only has very few limits, but could easily work around the few limits that it could have.

The Skybreakers primary thing is justice, someone could be a terrible person who hasn’t done anything and they wouldn’t care, but Windrunners are more likely to take preventive action against a person who was planning to harm someone, even if they haven’t made any moves so far. Ok so the weakness will be worth 25.

So, I have a few things, the first being that I think we know the oaths up to the fourth one. So the only custom oath you need to make is the fourth one. Also his third oath feels more like a Skybreakers oath then a windrunner one. As to weaknesses it would depend on what they consider to be wrong. Do they think any killing is wrong because anyone has a chance to be talked to and their mind changed? Or are they more like if someone attacks me and they die it wasn’t my fault and thus isn’t bad? You need 105 points on weakness, and I can say that the current oaths won’t take off too much of that. Assuming his fourth oath is a compulsive desire to help everyone he meats that is on the wrong path, that would count as 25. The second and third oaths together would count for 30.

"Atonement?" Mac exclaimed, "Who ever said these were the people that needed atoning too? No I don't spike these people, that would go completely against my entire speech just gave!" He shook his head, she, like all the others just didn't understand. "I do understand why you would find it difficult to understand though. Pathian's all too often find it difficult to understand the motivations of those in the Alleys." Mac turned just as Laurelai stumbled into the alley. He let her get her bearings then said "Hello Laurelai, I just stopped by to inform Lita of the tunnels that the TUBA members use, but now that the rest of the team is showing up I might as well tell you all. If we just wait a moment, they should be gett- aha! Here they are!" He finished just as KanMein Stumbled out of the alleys, asking for a plan. "Excellent, you all are here. What I need you guys to do is to alert the TUBA leaders that we did not release the frying pan things, which you were already doing. In addition to that you need to tell them to expedite the evacuation because the time is soon coming that the DA will be joining the fight. If you want, you can try and use the TUBA member who just showed up to try and figure out where they are. Good luck." With that he turned and walked back into the Alleys, vanishing. @Voidus @ZincAboutIt @kenod
