  1. Amusing. The fight will be over within seconds, as all mistborn flare Atium, TLR taps all of his steelminds, and our Forsaken go blitz with balefire. Somehow, the world explodes.
  2. Ironpies was silent. He was always silent. There was no need for speech when one had power like him. His "eyes" swept over the scene, the blue pinpricks creating a phantom image of the physical world. And was disgustingly lacking in metal. Ironpies scowled. This society was so absurd; there was no reason to smelt metals except for the framework of large buildings and fancy headpieces. The only place where one could find those is urban centers, and even then, it was a unfortunate low amount. He felt blind. There wasn't much to do now, except wait.
  3. Speaking of Koloss, since Hemalurgy can grant physical qualities, such as strength, could we say that Koloss are Strength Savants?
  4. Marv found guard duty incredibly boring. For most of the night, he would stand at the gate or on the wall and stare into the mists, often while vigorously rubbing his stone. The mists put him off. Didn't it with everyone? It was like anything could be hiding inside, lurking in the shadows... waiting to strike. He shuddered and clutched his poleaxe tighter. He glanced up at the crescent blade. If anything, the weapons provided were cool, even if he didn't know how to use them. He supposed that all he had to do was chop and thrust, repeat. He shrugged. Simple. He gazed off again into the night.
  5. The problem here is the discrepancy in magical function. As surgebinding is a hard magic, and Eragon's magic is not, these must be judged in two different ways. If they met in a single place, the universe would have to account for what Eragon could do, making a set of rules for it so that space-time does not fold in on itself and destroy everything. That being said, given the experience of Eragon in magic and the point where Kaladin is right now, Eragon would win on a true magic standpoint. In swordplay, or spear play, Kaladin would beat Eragon.

    Yes!
  7. I've had bedhead the whole day and have done nothing to fix it. Living the dream.
  8. They arrived at Keep Conrad, an impressive building. Its tall towers rose above neighboring structures. Marv followed the man through the gates, past the two men who stood there with pole arms. They gave him inquisitive glances, but nothing more. Marv hurried along. The man led him to a building on the Keep grounds, off in the corner of the property. It looked like a barracks of a sort, and several men stood out front in various positions. The man turned to Marv. "This here is the Keep guardhouse. Where you'll be stayin' if you keep the job. We've got a lot of fresh blood here, so you won't be the only rookie in the ranks. You gonna take the job?" The man held out his hand. Marv stared at it, glancing between it and the guardhouse. He rubbed his stone, then shook the man's hand. He smiled, showing yellowed teeth. "Good to have ya," the man said. "I'm Gern, by the way. Chief Guard. I run this place, and you answer to me. Go meet your comrades." Marv nodded and ran over to the guardhouse. The stone bounced in his pocket. Is it okay that the Chief Guard is named Gern? I just came up with the name, and if it works, we now have an NPC to interact with.
  9. Marv rubbed the stone in his pocket. It was a streambed stone, worn smooth from erosion, and his fingers made it smoother still. He always kept it on him for luck. He walked through the morning streets of Luthadel, only vague impressions of glimmers of mist left lingering in corners and alleys. He was not from Luthadel, from the Northern Dominance, but had come here for work and to see the world while he was young. He was a noble, because such differentiations mattered under the Lord Ruler, faintly related to Lord Lekal. However, some point back in his ancestry, a portion of the Lekals had migrated to the Northern Dominance to take advantage of its resources. His fingers flipped the stone in his pocket as he passed by Keep Lekal. It was magnificent, grand and imposing, decorated with tall, vibrant stained-glass windows. He paused outside, gazing at the grand doors of the Keep. Dare he go in? Would anyone recognize him? He didn't know anything of Luthadel politics or custom, so he better not. Shaking his head, he walked down the street. He glanced at the store windows as he passed, watching for signs. Any work? None. He sighed and moved to the next street. He patrolled those streets with fervor, the growing hunger in his stomach driving him harder as the day progressed to find some odd job that could fill his belly. For a moment, he was distracted by a street vendor, boasting a display of sweet rolls. His stomach grumbled, but he didn't stop. He didn't stop, so he stumbled into someone. "Oh, oh, I'm so sorry. My dearest apologies, sir," Marv gushed. He helped the man to his feet and stepped back to give him some room. The man turned to look at him. He was older, with stumble on his chin the color of charcoal. His eyes were gray and had not seen sleep last night. He wore a slight scowl as he looked Marv up and down. Marv shifted uncomfortably and rubbed the stone in his pocket. The man grumbled. "Hmph. Are you out of work, boy?" The man growled. Marv nodded. The man tapped his chin and thought for a moment. "Well good for you, boy. I've got a job for ya. Follow me to Keep Conrad." The man turned and nearly vanished into the crowded street. Marv shook himself out of his stupor and dashed after him.
  10. I to him, yes.

  13. Rat is reserved for AG, and with Quinn died the enigmatic two entities that I never got to explore... what strange consciousness will influence Marc?

  17. Maybe... not necessarily, but since it deals with Venture Agents, it might be dealing with events during Mistborn 2. @Seonid, care to clarify?
  18. Oooh. Can't pass it up, that SE. I need to come up with a fallback everygame character, so... Marv. Yes, Marv. My name is Marv. Q: The Thief can target a player and steal a random item they possess. Does this mean there are more items than just vials?
  19. Definitely awesome.
  20. Cosmetic, and some mechanic. I can't picture an Inquisitor with a horn, or wings, so Earth it must be. Technically, Ironpies has magic, but no one knows about that
  21. If there was an object that could do anything, anything, but only one thing, and it had come into your hands somehow, what would you ask of it? When you have asked your one thing, it will travel to another person.
