Mid-Range Game 51: Come On Down To Irontown
StrikerEZ replied to Kasimir's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I mean, I self-voted because I know I'm the only player I'd trust to be the Worker Leader plus I've never really had a chance to have a vote manip ability, and I forgot that we couldn't vote on ourselves.- 608 replies

Mid-Range Game 51: Come On Down To Irontown
StrikerEZ replied to Kasimir's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I mean, the end result is I still get kicked out of the game D1 and don't really get to play. It would be like a consolation prize. "Oh, no one wanted to play with you, but at least you got elected!" Is there anything wrong with that? See, that makes me trust you more, because I feel like an elim would be paying attention to something like that.- 608 replies

Mid-Range Game 51: Come On Down To Irontown
StrikerEZ replied to Kasimir's topic in Sanderson Elimination
What if we all just claimed Tineye, that way the elims will have absolutely no idea who actually is the Tineye. Anyway As cool as it is that y'all are voting for me, it would be a little sad if I join this game and immediately get kicked out because everyone trusts me. Any chance I can persuade you all to vote me for Worker Leader? Anyway, I think I'm going to vote for Archer for election, and Mat for Worker Leader. Archer because I like his thought process on why he picked Tani (even if I don't necessarily agree about Tani being the best fit for Worker Leader), and Mat because he seems pretty villagery to me so far. I don't think an elim would lowball the team that much, when it seems pretty obvious that the elims need at least 5 players to actually have a chance at winning. I'm fine switching them between election or Worker Leader, but I have them where they are now based on who has already voted for them in each category, meaning where I think they're most likely to win. Also, here's some VCs: Election: Archer (2): Mat, Striker Striker (2): Szeth, TJ Steel (1): Fifth Worker Leader: Mat (2): TJ, Striker Striker (1): Fifth Tani (1): Archer- 608 replies

Mid-Range Game 51: Come On Down To Irontown
StrikerEZ replied to Kasimir's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Okay, good to be back in a game again. First off, we probably have at least 5 elims this game. They specifically need to get like...4 people on to the thingy, and the more people they have on the thingy, the less voting power they have. So they should probably have at least one extra, so that when it's like at 3-3 in terms of who's already been voted onto the thingy, it's not just one elim trying to get people to vote for them. They'd have a buddy to help them out at that point, if there's 5. Also, to the Tineye: please be very secretive about the fact that you know all the elims. Don't do what I did and forget that the elims want you did and can kill you at any moment and therefore win the game. And to the Watchman: good luck? The Informant will probably be trying very hard to make you think that they're actually the Tineye. This aspect of the Watchman/Tineye relationship wasn't around last time a version of this game was run, so I'm honestly not sure what the best way to go about trying to figure out who the Tineye is. Anyway, @Kasimir can we vote on ourselves for the Worker Leader thingy? If so, I nominate StrikerEZ as the Worker Leader.- 608 replies

Long Game 78: The Legend of Zelda: The False Heroes
StrikerEZ replied to Biplet's topic in Sanderson Elimination
It was a quiet night as Beedle prepared for the coming battle. Kohga had been revealed in the castle, and it was only a matter of time before he came for Beedle. Beedle placed the last pot with an item outside the last door. He would make sure people got their items this night, at least. Kazs was with him still, as foolish as that was considering what was about to happen. There was a loud crash from nearby, and Kazs jumped. Beedle simply stood up straighter, finally taking off his massive, beetle shaped backpack. He stretched, flexing his muscles. Surely someone who could carry such an enormous backpack must be totally ripped, right? Kohga came around the corner, magic swirling around him as he summoned floating balls of metal with spikes covering them. Kazs began strumming on his ukulele, as Beedle had requested. There would be an epic ballad composed for this fight, if Beedle had anything to say about it. "So," Beedle said, flexing his muscles, "you've finally come for me, Kohga? Was wondering how long it'd take you." "I've come to kill you, yes I have. It is through the power of my ancestors that I will defeat you and cripple the economy of this castle in the process." "Not if I have anything to say about it." Beedle charged at Kohga and Kohga began launching the spike balls at him. Beedle timed his dodges to the beats of the song that Kazs was still strumming away on his ukulele. One of the balls came very close to hitting Beedle in the face, but he tilted his head back and watched it sail over him, time seeming to slow down for just a moment. Kohga screamed, then created much bigger spike balls, getting them ready to throw at Beedle. But it was too late, as Beedle was already within Kohga's range. Beedle jumped over the magic shield Kohga had created, and began punching at Kohga. Kohga managed to avoid a few of them, making sure to keep the spikes away from himself, but he could not avoid all of them. And so, he began to fight back, punching Beedle as well. Beedle was skilled, but even his added strength from carrying his beetle backpack around all the time was not quite enough to help against a trained assassin. He found himself, being pressed back, closer and closer to the magic shield that Kohga had left up. Kohga grinned at Beedle. "What are you going to do? You're cornered! And..." His grin got wider, and he launched the rest of his spike balls past Beedle. "I think you missed, Kohga. And now it's time for-" The music stopped, and then Beedle understood. He quickly turned around, his heart racing, but he knew what he would see before he saw it. Kazs was dead, his ukulele broken to pieces as well. Beedle should've sent him away, should've told him to run, he should've- There was a knife sticking through Beedle's chest. "Never turn your back on your enemy." Kohga whispered into his ear as Beedle slumped to the ground, his life fading away. Kohga ran through the halls of Hyrule castle, keeping to the shadows. He'd blown his cover and had killed two people, but it was fine. Everything was fine. Everything was going according to plan. He just had to find someone he could kill and disguise himself as, and he'd be okay. Everything would be okay. He turned around a corner to see a shadowed figure in the middle of the hallway. Perfect! Kohga thought. Now I just gotta sneak up on them.... The figure turned around, pulling out a sword and brandishing it at Kohga. That wasn't just any sword though, it was the Master Sword. Oh no, Kohga thought. He hardly even had a chance to get any words about before Link began fighting him in earnest. He was trying his hardest to avoid the swings of the skilled young knight. But in the end, Link was better than Kohga, and Kohga knew that. He began to panic, frantically summoning spike balls and throwing them around everywhere. Link was just skillfully dodging each and every one of them. I know what to do! Kohga thought. I'll just disappear! Kohga went to make himself disappear, putting up a shield between himself and Link, but Link simply slid under the shield and reached up and stabbed Kohga through the chest. The Yiga had lost their leader. Kasimir has been killed! They were a Hyrulean Beedle! Illwei has been killed! They were Master Kohga! There will be a removal during this Day turn. There is no vote minimum (though no one is removed if no one votes), and tied votes result in a random tied player getting removed. In addition, Beedle's shop is now unfortunately closed. Player List: This turn will end at 8:30 am CDT, on Sunday, June 27th. Please note that this is an hour earlier than last time, as I have work starting early that day and need to leave at our normal rollover time. PMs will be sent out shortly, if they haven't been already. -

So, I made a mistake when I was doing the OoA late last night. I put item distribution after attacks/removals in the OoA, when me and Bip talked earlier about putting it before. I’ve made this change in the rules doc. -

Also, should probably mention: still trying to get stuff sorted out with hyliara's pinch hitter. There is a player from LU who didn't get to sign up before signups ended and will be available starting tomorrow, and they will probably be taking over for hyliara starting D2. -

Mipha crept through the castle halls. At each corner, she peeked around, searching for hidden assassins. Never before had she felt so unsafe in the formidable fortress of Hyrule Castle, but after the events of the evening, she could not shake the feeling of unease. She had been ordered by King Rhoam to return to her guest chambers at once and disguise herself. She wasn’t sure how she would accomplish such a task--being a Zora, she stuck out like a sore fin--but she would do her best. She owed it to her own kingdom to keep herself safe in this trying time. How well could a trained Yiga impersonate one of her fellow champions? Or herself, for that matter? She feared being captured, locked in a dark cupboard and an evil stranger taking her likeness to trick her friends. The thought was horrific. Could they impersonate her so well that Ruta, her Divine Beast, would recognize the imposter as Mipha herself? What a horrible thought, the idea of the Yiga taking control of the Divine Beasts. She would be sure to write letters to the other champions warning them of this possibility. Though unlikely, they could take no chances. The Yiga were cunning, and dangerous, and the threat of the doom of Hyrule hung all too near. Mipha turned another corner, momentarily forgetting to check for Yiga assassins. She paused for a moment. Something felt off, something smelled wrong. Blood. Mipha dashed forward, following the scent of the blood as it wafted into the grand hallway. She could feel the sickly stench around her, coppery, thick, overwhelming her senses. This was Hylian blood, permeating the walls of the castle, tainting them. Poisoning them. There was so much of the stench, how had she not noticed it before? Someone had been slain. Mipha rounded a corner to see a body, limbs spread in awkward, broken angles. She could hardly make out features through the mess of blood and bruises, but they looked like a young woman. Her throat had been slashed, her hair cut in jagged ways, as if she’d tried desperately to free herself from someone who had hold of her. Her eyes stared up at the ceiling, unseeingly, and she had fallen in such a way that it seemed she had reached up to the sky, pleading. Mipha looked up. Decorating the ceiling was the cold stare of the Goddess Hylia, watching as the blood pooled from the young woman’s neck, staining the carpet even redder. Mipha sounded the alarm. Goddesses help them all. LG78: The Legend of Zelda: The False Heroes has begun! GM PMs should all be sent out, so let us know if anything went wrong. If any Postman PMs are opened, make sure to include myself, @Biplet, and @Elandera, our amazing IM. There will be a removal during this Day turn. There is no vote minimum (though no one is removed if no one votes), and tied votes result in a random tied player getting removed. In addition, Beedle's Shop is now open for all players! Each player can submit one item request this turn, and this does not take up their one action per turn. Item requests will be approved or denied in the next Night turn. Player List: Beedle's Shop: This turn will end at 10 am CDT on Thursday, June 24th. -

This award will be mine! You hear me @Kasimir? I’m coming for you Ouch, you didn’t have to call me out! Just for that I’m telling you to go to sleep. Anyway, maybe this isn’t the best idea considering I’m also running the LG with Bip, but I’m signing up!
