Valimar watched as his fellow guards talked and schemed and discussed how they felt about each other. He kept quiet, studying his cards occasionally. He could play his cards right this time around. He lost more than he won, these days, but surely this time he'd luck out. All he had to do was just resist the urge to clean the dirt off his clothes. There was a smudge on his pants, must've spilled something on it earlier. He could feel the urge to clean it off scraping away at his mind, until all his thoughts were solely on the dirty spot on his pants. He glanced around, to make sure no one was looking, then he wiped it off. He relaxed, leaning back in his chair. Much better. ~ Hello all! I am extremely disappointed that Araris beat me to tying everything up with a 3 way tie on Ash, Drake, and Archer. That would be so much fun. In order to preserve the sanctity of the tie, I shall vote on Steeldancer. @Steeldancer, consider this a love vote. Similar to Araris’s stab votes in that I’m planning on keeping this here for as long as possible to possibly create pressure on you, but also leaving open the possibility of me breaking your heart and moving to someone else right at the end of the turn, if I need to. Also, I am so conflicted on how many elims I think there are. 11 is such a funky number to try and balance around. I think 3 with normal roles or 2 with the GC are the only real options. I don’t know what I think is more likely. If Illwei had a meaningful say in how the distribution played out, I could totally see her advocating for the later elim team. But I don’t want to metagame this too hard. Also, does anyone know if PMs are open? I’m on mobile and don’t want to go look at the rules.

Hmmm…I am very tempted. I just gotta die by the end of C5. I can probably manage that. I’ll be signing up as Valimar, a young Veden man who came to Urithiru to experience all it has to offer. And to play lots of cards.

Sounds good to me. And I’m glad you like my games so much. Also, Mist, Lotus, if either of you really want to run your game, there’s a chance you could do it. Ash has said he’s not sure if he’ll be able to do it, plus Experience hasn’t been around much so I doubt he’ll take it. My current opinion is that I’d rather one of you four (meaning Ash, Experience, Mist and Lotus), since Mat can’t take it, take it than me. If none of you want to/can take it, then I’ll do it.

So, with Kas’s game ending today, we should probably figure out who’s running the next MR. I’m technically at the top of the list, but this would be my fourth game this summer if I take it. I’m not opposed to doing it if no one else wants to, but I’d rather see if anyone else wants it. I’d probably run my game that’s just the empty MR slot I have later down, and switch my anon game to that spot. Mat, you just ninja’d me. Definitely forgot this game had started on the day it did. I caught up on the thread a little slower than I would’ve if I’d remembered rollover was about 20 minutes away. Why’d you guys decide to kill me?

I'll probably wait to give all my thoughts later as typing with this brace on my right hand is very hard. Anyway, Bip already said a lot of my thoughts, but I just want to reiterate that this game was a blast to run and to watch you guys play. It definitely makes me feel great to see people really enjoy the games I run. Plus I'm glad you guys all showed Bip a great first game for her to GM. I'm just really glad this game ended up being fairly balanced, all things considered. I was very worried about the balance for this game. Anyway, once again, thank you to everyone to playing. It was fun to be your GM.

Kele had spent most of the past week training. They had to prove to both themselves and to their superiors that they were to be trusted. Any sudden movement or noise or anything surprised them, and almost made them blow their cover. They had to keep calm, avoid thinking about how they were once a member of the Yiga. And of course right as they were trying to start a new life, the rest of the Yiga chose to attack Hyrule Castle. What a pain. They hardly heard the sound of the guards coming to get them from the training grounds, they were so lost in their thoughts. Rookie mistake. One of the guards seized Kele, and they reacted on instinct, flipping around and throwing him to the ground. Then they paused, realizing how that must look. "Wait, I can explain," Kele said. "I'm not a Yiga, or at least-" "Shut it, Yiga." One of the guards said, brandishing a sword. "We found your Yiga clothes and weapons in your room. It's over, Kele." But I didn't have any of my old Yiga stuff in my room, Kele thought. Unless.... It dawned on her. The true Yiga must've discovered who they were and planted the Yiga armor and weapons in their room. Their vision grew red, and any thoughts of negotiating fled their mind. They would find the Yiga, and they would make them pay for ruining their chance at a new life. The guard who had spoken to them came charging at them with his sword, and Kele barely dodged it. An arrow flew past their head as well, and Kele realized how outnumbered they were. This was going to get ugly. The guard once again swung for Kele, but they danced around the blade. When he was recovering from a swing, Kele lunged forward and chopped their hand down on his wrist, breaking it in a moment. With their other hand, they grabbed the sword, ducking as they heard a soldier let loose an arrow. They didn't kill the guard they'd stolen the sword from. Wouldn't be a good idea to do that if they wanted any chance at having that new life they wanted. They didn't have much of a chance to plan their next move as another arrow shot straight through their chest. Kele dropped to the ground, assessing the damage, the pain clouding their thoughts. The arrow had missed their heart, which was good. They'd be dead by now otherwise. It had punctured a lung though. Not good. As the guards gathered around them, Kele realized that they were not making it out alive. I was so close. I just wanted to be free.... Kele's life faded away.   Devotary of Spontaneity was removed! I mean…that just depends on the timezone you’re in. You’d have some people awake during the night turn and asleep during the day turn.

Savia could hardly believe what she was seeing. Horatio was doing something to prevent people from killing him, and no one could tell why. Savia knew that there were magical things out there, but she had never really seen much of them. To see something like this in person...that was extraordinary. Horatio turned to look at all the people gathered in the room. "Just let me explain," he said. "We don't have much time. We need to plan, figure out who amongst us are still Yiga. The Calamity draws near, and-" He was cut off as one of the soldiers in the crowd drew out the Master Sword. There was a gasp, and all Savia could think was, wait, that doesn't look like Link. Link began to walk towards Horatio, and Horatio simply smiled at him. Link raised the sword to strike, and all of those gathered went silent as they began to wait for what was to come. Savia closed her eyes- There was a loud explosion. Savia flew back, knocked off her feet. People screamed. She opened her eyes. Yiga had appeared out of nowhere, and they attacked the soldiers. Some of them had been blown away by the explosion as well. And in the center of the room, a circle of burns surrounded a corpse being held by a boy with burned arms. It was Daruk. Horatio had been Daruk in disguise. Savia followed the other non-combatants trying to escape from the melee. As she crawled on the ground, trying to avoid arrows flying overhead, her heart pounding, she passed the body of Cimu. There was an arrow in his back, and thankfully she couldn't see his face. This was the closest she'd been to a dead body though. Cimu had been quiet, and she didn't know him very well, but he'd also been one of the castle staff. They'd talked sometimes. And now he was dead. And it could've been her. She ran, trying to make it out the door that a soldier was holding open for people to escape. She made it through just in time, as she heard one of the soldiers inside the room yell. "We make our stand now! Protect Link! Kill as many of them as you can! For Hyrule!" "FOR HYRULE!" Savia ran, avoiding the yelling, the sounds of battle, and the screams of the dying. Jondesu has been killed! They were a Hyrulean! attic_gremlin has been killed! They were a Hyrulean Daruk! There will be a removal during this Day turn. There is no vote minimum (though no one is removed if no one votes), and tied votes result in a random tied player getting removed. I was about to say. I was like “huh, I didn’t think one of my other slots was already at the top so soon.” Would’ve been very funny to just be like “okay, sure, I guess I’ll take a third LG in a row, why not?” A Steel game is coming up?

Kyson once again found himself in a bloody battle, led by Link himself. Link always wore a different disguise from the one he wore during the day. It was to confuse the Yiga, make them go after the wrong people. A bit callous, Kyson thought, but everything had changed once Zelda had gotten hurt. They'd once again caught one of the Yiga before they could puff away their disguise. Revali himself had been one of them. It was bad enough when King Rhoam had been discovered to actually be a Yiga, but one of the champions themselves? Goddess Hylia save us all, Kyson thought. The Yiga were once again outnumbered in this fight, and Kyson and his soldiers were able to quickly corner them while Link fought against another one of them. Link was so skilled he could take one of them on his own, but Kyson and the others had to gang up on them to even have a chance. It left a bad taste in his mouth, but this was war. This was survival. It was life and death for Hyrule itself. Everyone paused for a moment, shocked when Earl, completely unaware of the fight around him, came out of his room right into the midst of the fighting. Before Kyson could react, a Yiga had shot an arrow at the man. But he simply seemed a little surprised by the arrow in his head, as if it didn't even hurt. He muttered some nonsense to himself, and then melted into a pool of something, which slithered away from the battle. Link took the shock on everyone's faces, Hyrulean and Yiga alike, to take one good swing at the Yiga he'd been facing, the one who had pretended to be Revali. The man died quickly, and his friends once again ran like the cowards they were, leaving an exhausted and shocked group of soldiers. Link simply waved them away, once again hiding the master sword. They would find the last of the Yiga. Or they would die trying, and the Calamity would return and destroy everything. Szeth_Pancakes has been killed! They were a Hyrulean! kaylakrue has been killed! They were a Yiga Revali! There will be a removal during this Day turn. There is no vote minimum (though no one is removed if no one votes), and tied votes result in a random tied player getting removed. This turn will end at 9:30 am CDT on Monday, July 12th.
