  1. Okay, a bit of a rule change: the ability to not be affected by an allomancer's action if you're a hazekiller will be changed from a passive ability to an ability that requires submitting an action.
  2. @Mailliw73 Yeah, I meant to post the update last night, but I went to sleep instead.
  3. Really? That's the joke you're going with?
  4. Okay, just remember to tag me about it before the end of signups!
  5. Do you have a character name?
  6. Wait, I’m definitely not holding him at gunpoint.
  7. Oh, I just realized something. If I take out the shields on the Lifebuster and take out 4 of the remaining health, that leaves the Lifebuster at 6 health, since shields are included in the total health of 15. That is both good news and bad news. That means we can use less ships to take out the Lifebuster...but that also means it isn’t as necessary for the Gunners to fight back against the Krell this night.
  8. Well, I guess this might be as good a time as any to out myself. I’m an Ace and I’m flying a Largo right now. I can use my IMP to take out the lifebuster’s shields and shoot at it as well. (This would leave it with 11 health). I’d need four people to use their light lances on the Krell escorts, preferably any Fresas we have left, so the Krell can’t retaliate against us when we try to kill the lifebuster. Then, it would be nice if a Gunner could shoot the lifebuster. And then the remaining 3 players could coordinate their attacks so that whoever has the least amount of destructors finishes off the lifebuster and the other two attack Krell. It would be very nice if we’d all list which ships we have so we could coordinate who needs to do what. Once we know more people’s ships, I’ll make a list of who’s doing what. EDIT: To clarify, I’m flying Largo-2
  9. I definitely did not have the time I thought I would today to do analysis, but I don’t think Drake should die. I’m sorry, but I’m gonna have to vote on you, Lumgol. I completely almost forgot to put in my action and ship request tonight. Dang.
  10. @Fifth Scholar Sorry, I definitely thought I put a timezone on the end of the signups. I added a clarification of the rollover at the bottom of the post, but I’m pretty sure I already put that in the basics. @Araris Valerian Mistborn have access to all 8 each Cycle, but can only use one per Cycle.
  11. Danton walked through the trees in Dampmere park, his pistol held calmly before him. He was chasing yet another suspect of a bombing in the city. He'd lost track of how many there had been over the past few weeks, though he figured it was at least 15. Lyrelle, his partner, signalled him to follow her. She must’ve spotted something in the clearing over there. Danton led point, making sure to not step on any branches in the underbrush. He couldn’t see anything in the clearing, though he kept his eyes peeled. After a few moments of frantic searching, he began to turn around to ask Lyrelle exactly what she'd seen, but he felt a quick stab of pain in his chest. As he fell to the ground, he noticed Lyrelle taking off a silencer from her pistol. Before his last breath of life escaped, he wondered how she’d explain his death. ~ There has been a growing dissent in the city lately, as many view the mayor and his cronies as corrupt. The police have been working to quell the rebellions, but there are only so many of them, and there’s an entire city to patrol. Now, it appears that there are rebels amidst the police force, actively working to bring down the city’s government. It is up to you to root out these rebels before the city is overrun. We must prevent Discord from reigning supreme. ~ Basics: Factions: Roles: Player List: Quick Links: Signups will end around 8:30 PM CDT, June 9th. The first Day will begin around 9:30 PM CDT, and rollover will be at 8:30 PM CDT for subsequent Turns
  12. So, I’ll work on making a proper post later, but for now I think Drake’s explanation makes sense. Drake Marshall While it’s important that we work on figuring out who to lynch, I also think we should probably coordinate which ships need to be repaired....or not, because the only remaining ship that needs repairs is mine, which I can handle. Carry on then.
  13. Hmmm...I’d say go ahead and start over from the beginning and just read all the way through. I think if you go in expecting to get to the end (for me, I wanted to get to Brandon’s books, so that was a huge motivation), it’ll be a lot easier to get through the slog because you’ll have a reason to keep going. As for the companion, I’m not really sure what’s in it, but I would assume that it has spoilers for lots of things.
  14. @Wander89 I just finished my first read of WoT a couple of months ago, actually. I'd say that, if you aren't having fun reading the series by book 6, you should definitely stop. There is definitely a slog starting at some point after that. Most people agree the sloggiest book is book 10, but when the slog starts is up to interpretation. Personally, the slog didn't really start until book 9, though for some it starts in book 7. I haven't gotten around to reading New Spring or the companion book, though I'd suggest reading New Spring after you finish everything. The only reasoning I have for that is I think reading it before the first book ruins some of the mystery behind certain characters in the beginning of the series, and there isn't really a good place to read it anywhere in the middle of the series. The companion definitely has spoilers for everything, but I don't think it's required reading, especially since you'll (theoretically) be reading the series straight through. If you have any questions, tag me!
  15. Well dang, I wrote out a little post before Ark posted, and when I tried to refresh to see his post, I lost mine. Here's the gist of what I wrote: Drake PM'd me asking if we could team up to do something, and I was hoping to keep him alive so I could see what he wanted to do. In hindsight, with the realization that I must've mixed up him and DA on C1 and the fact that the Krell he was supposed to target didn't die, I think it makes more sense to lynch him. Bard. Drake Marshall. Also, I just realized something...I don't think Drake was ever too happy about DA's attempts at getting a huge PM chain to coordinate the attacks on the Krell. This would make a lot more sense if he was an elim, because it would be very hard for an elim to get away with putting in the elim kill if the attacks on the Krell were coordinated. (Also also, I think a main reason I've trusted him all game so far is because of his RP...which, if he is an elim, is a damnation good way to get people to trust him)
  16. So uhhh...wow, that was definitely quite the night, I guess. I'm really gonna have to go back and look through Joe's posts, because I literally had no read on him before this since I wasn't really paying much attention to his interactions with others. My initial thoughts on this is that, while a Joe-Drake-Bard team could make sense, I think it's very likely that one of the more inactive players is also an elim. At the same time, I don't want to start lynching inactives that are actually village and end up giving the elims the advantage once/if the Krell threat reaches a point where it isn't as much of a problem for everyone. On the other hand, Drake has been very valuable so far in fighting back the Krell. But, he's also put himself in a really good position as an elim, if he is one, to ensure his own survival since so many people trust him. I really don't trust Bard's claim of a hard clear, though. I'll have to go back and check at some point, but wasn't Drake the person who verified Bard's claim? I think elim!Drake would easily want to verify that claim if elim!Bard were his teammate. First, he already has the trust of a majority of the village, so people would be more likely to believe him. Second, it just makes sense to try and find a way to get two elims trusted by the majority of the village. From such a trusted position in the village, they can easily steer the lynch away from people they don't want lynched towards villagers who are prominent against them. Anyway, for now, I'm gonna vote on Bard because I really don't trust his claim of being hard cleared, and I think that, even if Drake is elim, we need him to handle the threat of the Krell right now. This is all based on my spotty memory of events that have taken place so far. Anyone, feel free to completely wreck my logic if I'm remembering things incorrectly.
  17. If someone who’s piloting a poco will attack 2A, I can finish it off. I’ll give me thoughts on the results of the lunch tomorrow once I’m back from Austin.
  18. Can you explain how his recent responses have given you reasonable doubt? Because, to me, they've only made more suspicious of him.
  19. Wait...so you're not gonna vote on Sart? You were basically the main reason I even am suspicious of Sart to begin with. And I wasn't saying I think you're an elim, because I'm pretty sure that Sart is an elim. I'm just saying that, if Sart is actually village, I think it's more likely that you are an elim.
  20. I mean, I think Bard is a little suspicious right now, but I think Sart is more suspicious. I feel like lynching Sart will tell us a lot more than lynching Bard will and that lynching Bard is exactly what elim!Sart would want us to do. It's past midnight, okay?
  21. So, I didn't really get on much today because I was busy, which I had been expecting. But I forgot that I'm leaving to drive down to Austin around noon tomorrow and I've now got a private lesson in the morning I need to go to. I probably won't be able to get on much for the rest of this cycle, so I'm gonna go ahead and cast my vote on Sart for now. If Sart turns out to be elim, I'd say there's a pretty good chance Bard is elim. The only reason I think Sart would focus so much on getting Bard lynched right now, instead of trying to defend himself (assuming he's an elim) would be so that he could potentially clear himself if Bard is lynched. If Sart turns out to be village, Bart is probably less likely to be an elim. Not ruling it out completely though, because I think Sart does make some good points about Bard. Anyway, I think DA is probably elim if Sart is village. Unless they're just playing a really high level game of two elims publicly fighting it out in the thread so that one of them can come out with the trust of the whole village.
  22. Okay, glad to know I can do both. Also, in my defense, I didn't really attempt to, I was just asking Steel if it was possible.
  23. I'll work on analysis probably Friday morning. I'm gonna be pretty busy for most of tomorrow, and I'm getting tired tonight (Wednesday). Anyway, I think it's safest for me to go ahead and come out and say that I had Doomslug last night, so that's why I was not able to attack any of the Krell ships. I used my action to use Doomslug, which ultimately turned out to be useless. But, while deciding what to do with Doomslug, I asked @Steeldancer some questions. Most of them were pretty silly, like asking if I could stuff Doomslug in one of my Destructors and launch her at the Krell. I didn't think to ask about how Doomslug could be used if the SK got her, Skyward spoilers: but I did find out that each player has an equal chance of getting her each cycle. I didn't get her again this cycle, so I can use my day action to repair a ship, instead of requesting a Poco like I'd been planning. That means I would be probably be returning back to Fresa-4 next night cycle.
  24. I am super excited about this one. Dark One has always sounded really cool to me, and I'm stoked to read this!!
  25. Well, I guess I better hope Sart is an elim, in that case. Seriously though, I've started thinking about things, and I just really don't trust Sart. He's the only one that I've been getting an intense elim vibe from, though I wouldn't be surprised if Drake is just a masterful elim in hiding. I think DA, at this point, could probably swing either way. I don't have much of an opinion on everyone else. As for the Stick lynch, I have a few ideas. I'm thinking that if either Sart or Ark is an elim, it's pretty likely one of the next three people who voted on Stick was an elim. It could make sense for an elim to put a lynch vote on Stick, then once the lynch started gaining traction, another elim could hop on the bandwagon and take out a villager. If this is the case, I think Elandera is the most likely to be the second elim out of the three people who voted on Stick after Sart and Ark. Unless I'm remembering incorrectly, I think they switched their vote pretty last minute. I was gonna write more, but I'm in a tornado warning right now, so I gotta go.
