Long Game 79/Anonymous Game 10: The Rhythm of Freedom
Steeldancer replied to Steeldancer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
It will specify what form they had at the time of death. In the case of the Mavset-im kill, the body reported dropping will be of the form and alignment of the player that actually died. It's more like they switch bodies and then the old one dies, more than straight up replacement. This makes sure the kill actually does what I want it to do. Scholarform is informed of what forms are available to research if they request. Incidentally, if 2 scholarforms somehow research the same form on the same turn, one will fail and the other will succeed, since only one of each gem type can be researched each game.- 819 replies

Long Game 79/Anonymous Game 10: The Rhythm of Freedom
Steeldancer replied to Steeldancer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
The additional gemstones can be given away, but can also be kept for later. If they die their gemstones return to the village store. Decayform simply targets a player, and destroys a random spare gemstone they have. They don't need to know what they have. When Mavset-im kills, it will be indistinguashable from another kill. It will appear that a villager died, because it was a villager that actually died. Be afraid The kill does count as an action. Albatross, you're asking the right questions. PAFO PMs last a cycle from where they were started. So if it was started N1, it'll end at the beginning of N2. Also, the flavor timewise takes place long before the events of the Stormlight archive, during the Desolations. Thus, no spoilers for current books. Forms cannot stack, you may only have one form at a time. If you put on a new form, you will automatically lose the form. For the record, you won't be able to keep Warform's extra life if you drop the form.- 819 replies

Long Game 79/Anonymous Game 10: The Rhythm of Freedom
Steeldancer replied to Steeldancer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
When a gemstone is used, it disappears, so no. If you get mateform a second time, you will get an additional PM. The "I accuse" is more of an example. Basically you just need to state that you think they're evil or something, you can't just vote them with no context. Does that make sense?- 819 replies

Long Game 79/Anonymous Game 10: The Rhythm of Freedom
Steeldancer replied to Steeldancer's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Day 1: Flight to the Mountain Pass The small group of Singers fled before the light of Mishim faded from the sky. They had prepared some maps. Their goal was to get to the mountain pass that would lead into Alethela before the next highstorm hit. Thane could hardly think in dullform. Nobody really talked as they headed across the flatlands of Velhav. He missed the rhythms. But there had been no other choice in order to prevent Odium from still having a grasp on their gemhearts. But they had brought spren with them so that once the next highstorm hit, they would be able to think again. Thane looked at the singers around him, counting in his head. Almost 25 adults, plus their children. He frowned. Something was wrong with that. Were there that many who had agreed to go with them? He wasn't sure, it was hard to think, hard to remember, hard to feel. But he trudged up to Moirin, who somehow was still leading the group, even in dullform. Her wisdom seemed to pierce through even the fog of dullform. "Did you notice how many of us there are? I think there are more than we started with," he said slowly. He couldn't speak any faster than that. Moirin hummed quietly. "Indeed. There are traitors among us. They will try to turn us back." It seemed escape was not going to be so easy. He tried to think about the situation more, but he kept losing his train of thought. He would wait to solve things until he got a form again. --- Abaram trudged underneath a cloak alongside the rebels. She felt a small thrill at the idea of killing them slowly, breaking their hope. How dare they try and escape Odium, after all? Odium was God. There was no escape from God. Her servants and her had already made some plans before they had taken dullform. Currently, she was using Illumination to look like just another dullform. There was no way they would notice her specifically while their brains were muddled by the lack of thought. How foolish, she thought to the Rhythm of Derision, to try to escape Odium by becoming stupid. --- Welcome to Rhythm of Freedom! This turn will end in about 47 hours, on 7/21/21 at 10:00 AM EDT. Please remember to only comment on the thread using your anonymous account. I know people make mistakes, and the mods will hopefully fix any of them, but I'd rather keep that to a minimum because it spoils the fun. Reminder the voting rules are Among Us styled, and I think that's about it. Have fun! (Also remember to let me know if you can't get in your account). Oh, and I forgot to remind you. Please include me in all PMs. You can create them yourselves, but I need to be able to keep track of actions. Even better, let me know when you're making a PM so it's easier. Also feel free to clean up the old PMs, because I never bothered to do that. Village Gemstones Player List- 819 replies

Except I'm not. And we're going to lose here in an hour. (Granted I never got a PM, so I don't actually know that I'm village, I'm just assuming here).- 192 replies

I was just struck by inspiration today. I've been considering a rerun of my dreamer game... What if it was body hopping... At the Olympics? Anyway I'm signing up for an MR slot and an AN slot. It'll be a rerun with some new shenanigans.

Long Game 78: The Legend of Zelda: The False Heroes
Steeldancer replied to Biplet's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Oh that's why it was so funny. Yeah, that confused the heck out of me when that happened. So Alvron thought there was no elim kill, and I thought there was no vig kill, and confusion ensued. What even are the odds of that happening anyway. -

Granted, I only just really realized that it would be Lylo. or ExLo? I know we changed some terms around here while I was gone. Well, same difference. Point is, my excuse is chainsaw man, and I think the elims are just teaming up to vote on me because I'm an easy target because I forgot about the game day one into day 2. Matrim's suspicion of Szeth without a vote behind it feels like an elim move to me, and Araris's vote patterns are suspicious to me. I don't really know about Szeth. Also one more thing. If I'm an elim, why is literally nobody defending me? If I'm an eliminator, then it would stand to reason that my team mates would try to establish an alternate vote so that A. I live and B. we win. But such a thing isn't happening. Therefore, I'm not an elim.- 192 replies

Just putting it out there, if you kill me, and then the elims kill another villager, that'll be parity. So, I'd recommend not killing me, cuz we'll lose.- 192 replies

Long Game 78: The Legend of Zelda: The False Heroes
Steeldancer replied to Biplet's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Although, it did give me some information on who the knight was. I was about to kill Alvron at one point thinking he was the knight. Circumstances changed... oh right you claimed. If you hadn't claimed I would have shot Alvron thinking he was knight. I also thought Ashbringer was Urbosa for most of the game. And... I only just realized its' Quill in the stars, not quillin the stars. Oh gosh I thought it was supposed to sound like "killin the stars". that's so embarrasing. -

Oh, waffles. You singlehandedly drove me up the wall this game. We had Link narrowed down to 4 individuals fairly early on, but between Kayla not being on to submit her revali action and you redirecting all of my kills, I wasn't able to narrow it down to Alvron. You did a pretty great job at annoying me as an elim. Ok, now that I'm on a laptop, I can give my full thoughts. This, was on the whole, a great game to return to the community with. Thank you for not lynching me right off the bat as I started to find my feet again. That being said, the mindless slaughter of my team that occurred this game increased my stress to the point that often it was a challenge to work up the courage to open up the 17th shard and see what had happened. I know the Yiga won, but I feel like the game was definitely village leaning this time around. Not broken, but biased in their direction. There were just, a lot of powerful roles in this game, a lot of protection between knights, mipha, and durians. Granted, the way this game went could not have been predicted, and a large factor of our team being slaughtered can be given to Alvron being a terrifying Link. It didn't help with Kayla not being able to submit all her actions, on top of needing to wait to actually get our revali. I know there were circumstances and I accept that, but the revali was kind of our ace in the hole this game for trying to gather information, and it just did not function at all. The turn where Alvron killed her was the turn she was scanning Ashbringer, I could have learned his role and crossed him off the list if she had lived another turn. I feel like the elim team could have used one more strong role probably, like a knight. However, there was the alternate win condition, which kind of my single hope after Link killed Zelda (which was hilarious). So I mean, it turned out alright, but it really felt like the odds were stacked against me the entire game and I didn't much like that feeling, and that really made it stressful for me. Criticism beside, I had a load of fun this game. Somehow, my most stressful and tight games end up being the ones I enjoyed the most in the end. I'm so glad to be back and playing with you guys. Personally, I hope to refine my playstyle some more, and finally figure out the trick to reading people and figuring out if they're evil or not. Thank you for running it @StrikerEZand @Biplet. (also, join my game if you need a SE fix asap. It starts tomorrow. Do ittttttt). -

Well yeah the second stayed. I put it right there, Devotary accused me of not liking cats, and I take offense to that. After having actually read day 1, I feel like araris was sheeping on my (what was intended to be) poke vote to get a villager lynched. Also, some strong assumptions about voting on a team mate. Like, what? I was just poking to start some discussion. And then forgot about the game and went and read chainsaw man. I feel like this is pretty straightforward here.- 192 replies

Goodness gracious the dead doc had me pegged early. Feels-bad that my tells have remains the same after a 2 year break. I knew for a while that Link had to be an experienced player, but, well not knowing how good or experienced everyone was kept me from identifying Alvron too early. I didn't even know Quillin or Waffles were new until the very end. -

Collapses to the ground in exhaustion Oh my gosh I pulled it off. I'm so tired. Alvron, you're terrifying. My poor team got slaughtered this game. That was incredibly close. One question though. Did you take a durian? I almost killed you during the night turn on the off chance you hadn't eaten one, but realized if you had I'd stand no chance after that. So, did I make the right decision? Edit: after looking at the sheets, it looks like I made the right decision. Thank goodness I slept on that, because morning me realized it would be smarter to just kill Ashbringer and claim link and exe you. Whew. -

Oh my gosh I forgot how fast these games go. I spend one day reading chainsaw man and I completely forgot about this. Not the best excuse of all time (but it was a really good manga). Not a lot of time left in the turn, and I have no idea what's going on. I guess... I'll leave things in the air and vote Matrim . Leave it to the dice gods to decide.- 192 replies
