Well guys I'm fully expecting to die tonight. Any help would be greatly appreciated. But just I'll do my best to do as much analysis as possible before I die. Also why only 1 metal avaliable?

Hey anyone who hasn't done anything- I would love a metal vial. Whatever you want. However I can best be helpful. If I can survive to give the results, that is.

This is for all those stupid things you've done that are hilarious in hindsight. Me, I broke my nose. How? I listened to my best friend. Now my best friend is well known for doing things that would be defined as "somewhat stupid." (Such as what happened to me). In fact, their entire family is known for it. Anyway, it's a church activity, my soon to be girlfriend was coming (I was planning on asking her that night) but she was late, and my friend and I were bored. So he says, "I should give you a piggy back ride!" This was the stupid part. I should have known better. I DID know better than to listen to him, given how many times he's injured himself in stupid ways. But instead I listened to him. I jumped on his back, fell off, he turned to catch me and elbowed my nose. I left before my soon-to-be-girlfriend came, off to the urgent care facility. And thus she did not become my girlfriend that night, my nose became crooked, and I now have a healthier respect for not being stupid. Share your own hilarious stupid stories below!

The Good News Thread: I'm So Excited! And I Just Can't Hide It!
Steeldancer replied to traceria's topic in General Discussion
That is exactly what I do! One time my science teacher banned me from reading anything but the text book. My response: I'VE ALREADY READ IT 5 TIMES -
Well I can't really target him can I? I've decided that his play style doesn't necessarily make him elim. But it's still annoying.

Ah so my brother had discovered Alcatraz through his psychatrist (who's daughter I'm now dating. Which is weird) but I never really was all that interested. Then we went out west to BYU, and went to the BYU book store, and mom told me "oh this book has great reviews you should read it!" I was waffly (she's made me read too many stuffy classics at this point) but eventually I started reading it. I soon realized this was the best book I'd ever read. And I read A LOT. Like to the point where I'm told to go spend time outside instead of reading. Anyway I devoured the rest of the series. Warbreaker was offered to me, but I thought it looked weird. Oh how little I knew. Next, I noticed the word Roshar in the Aars Arcanum. I looked it up, discovered Way of Kings. That day I posted a picture of instagram saying "look at this giant book im about to read!" I spent all day reading it. Read the whole thing in a day. And it was transcendent. I started reading every thing I could get my hands on by him. But it didn't explode into a full on obsession until one day I was looking him up online and a wiki article mentioned the reality of the cosmere. It was then I realized that not only were his books far and away the best books I've ever read, but that he is on a whole different level. Eventually I discovered the 17th shard, joined after some struggling with the math question they asked you (it was really annoying) and now here I am. Waiting for Oathbringer to come out.

Ha! The one time I got detention, I got it... for reading in class. Oh the things that I have had happen to me because of reading in class. Books across the room, books confiscated, and detention. Lol -

They didn't care. We have a few days left of school, and even the strict teachers have given up. -

I guess. It's a good thing I wasn't doing anything in any of my classes -

I already knew that. Rotten meat. But I didn't know just how huge it is! It's taller than I am! And I'm pretty tall! -
The World of Tenov-Worldbuilding project
Steeldancer replied to Dragon314's topic in Creator's Corner
So we just... add whatever we want to the wiki. Dang. I feel like God. DRAGONS. Little ones. Maybe. Or a dragon rider community? I've always wanted to make something like that (especially one that turns out better than Eragon). So my region would be highly mountainus. Mountainous. However you spell that. Isolated dragon riders. Dragons have developed a symbiotic relationship with the humans there (I guess I should make them humans). Dragons are better adapted to hunting. But humans are better at protecting the whole, and so humans will protect the young of everyone. Dragons struggle to take care of things, and the relationship with the humans has increased their population. They bond for life. I guess maybe telepathy? No magic for now. -

Ok. What did you do to me today? It started with that video. Then I followed it to a cool video (narrated by David Attenborough no less) about jumping spiders on the BBC Earth channel. And from there, I spent most of my school day watching short nature clips. I learned about how hedgehogs mate, what the world's biggest flower looks like, and about a thousand other things. I don't know whether to thank you or curse you. -

I'll take region 5 I guess ... don't really have time to work on it now though -
Seems reasonable enough. In hindsight, i probably shouldn't have panicked so much. Even if you were elim, staying quiet could have had benefits. I blame it on being new. And it is when you say things like this that I wanted to burn Steel. Even if you turn out to be village, your play style really irks me.

The World of Tenov-Worldbuilding project

Oh ok. So... we're making a world? I'm feeling animal themed, so how about a bunch of animal monks learning to use the powers of the mantis shrimp? Like a form of martial arts -

Unmaking the Canon - a resource for theorists
Steeldancer replied to Extesian's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Ah that was me looking through that document, and he mentions that we have (sort of) seen either the Herald of each order or a member of each order. However he said dustbringers are "complicated". How it's complicated idk, we've either seen them or not. -

Oooh so we have seen the Dustbringer Herald somehow? Cool -
... the limited god seems really restrictive. Eventually you wouldn't be able to vote on any one

Ok maybe it's about time to explain my thought process when I role claimed. Essentially 3 thoughts went through my head 1. Oh crap the Ventures might know I'm a mistborn 2. What if Orlok is a venture and he lies about my role to the thread, and I never say anything, and I die because the Ventures spend their resources on me and I don't have any metals to protect me, and no one knows to help me because nobody knows im in danger. 3. I have no more protection, no PM from stick to confide in only one person, and the only way to preemptively prevent lies, and garner help, is to admit my role to the thread. Now I also considered waiting until orlok or another captain claimed detaining me. The issue is if I role claimed after that and they attacked me, then it would seem like I was trying to seem valuable in order to avoid being lynched. I figured my best bet, DESPITE the extra risk it would involve. Also, take into account I was panicking, it was 6 in the morning, and my my meds had not kicked in yet, so I was extra impulsive . if I were an eliminator mistborn, I would be able to talk things out on the elim doc, and have people help protect me and provide me metals. But I'm not. I had no one to talk to, nothing to funnel my panic. I wouldn't have panicked if I had been an elim. Oh and @OrlokTsubodai what would you have done if I hadn't said anything? Would you have exposed me to the thread?
