Interesting thought. I'm not sure I like the whole defensive thing, I like my idea that the spren just fail to attach, and they revert to dullform. Everything else, I like.

So I'm trying to balance a Dream engineer role for the inception game im working on (it's pretty cool). Essentially it's the main elim role, and is an appointed position. They can do anything that does not contradict the rules, change what has already happened, and i have final approval powers. The bigger the change, the bigger the information the village is given in the write up. (If they create one gun, it might not show up. If they make 10 guns, it'll be mentioned in the write up that 10 guns were found). If they make a big enough change, a guard (the main village power roles) will get a more powerful role (probably with an unblockable kill). The engineer is only able to do this for the dream scape they are voted to do by their team, and if they die, only one more turn can take place in that dreamscape. The elim team also has no kill. Just the appointed different engineers, for each dream scape (essentially it's a Dreamscape 1 engineer, dreamscape 2 engineer, ect). I'm just trying to figure out if the role needs any more checks. The lynch is unblockable, and each person may only have one life... ive gone through a lot of scenarios, but I dont know if I'm missing something that will allow the role to break the game.

I think the topic sums it up pretty easily. The highstorms ARE coming back, which is great. STORMLIGHT! I'm also wondering if perhaps Ialai is a ghostblood, if she knows mraize. could that be the source of her amazing network?

Oh and I forgot something important! Syl says a highstorm is coming. Glad to hear that the whole stormlight drought thing is not happening. That would not have made me happy. I need some glowing already. MORE MORE MORE!!!!

Beware of the no mating, lest it turn into the next Stick. just saying. I have to say, these chapters weren't as interesting. I do think Sebarial is worth watching. I already love his disgusting character, and am interested to see where it goes.

totally missed the 3rd chapter. Im really unimpressed with the quality of the writing in this chapter in particular, because its just so... meh. I don't care about the bridgemen at ALL. I'm more excited about the small dragonlings. Really. Its not well written. Even worse, there isn't much worldbuilding in this chapter, which i think is the most interesting thing about this book. At least the other chapters had dragons and dragonsteel. this one just had... nothing.

Hi mraize. Also the casual no mating? This is going to be a long term joke isn't it. I swear if it turns into the next STICK. Also, the epigraphs counting to tell us... absolutely nothing. They're entirely useless. Why are they included anyway?! I want CONTENT NOT FLUFF. Kaladin realizes the moral dilemma. But still no resolution. Urgh.

People who believe they know more than the professional. The professional is educated, and PAID to do their job. They know more than you. Occasionally, the professional is stupid. But generally, the stupid person just has a hyped up opinion of their own knowledge and understanding.

I agree. Given that there's only one elim, it seems prudent not to go killing as we are pretty much guaranteed to kill a villager.

I'm not weighing in on the current conversation, just saying I'm alive. I'm going to bed... now. So I'll take a look at things tomorrow.
