  1. Here's another pun for you then. What's purple and commutes? An abelian grape.
  2. The Steel Inkwizishon is putting thousands of dollars into negating the effects of the cookie and the chouta.
  3. These do not affect the raw tax rate.
  4. This is a very good point you raise, but you must realize that the Inkwizishon has done many wonderful things since coming to power. We have reduced skaa tax, improved the canal system, and overseen the construction of a lot of ten Soothing stations outside of Luthadel.
  5. We have also improved the Ministry's reputation since coming to power. This chart (holds up chart) shows the amount of halfbreed mistborn found and killed before and after the Inkwizishon came to power. The chart is from the Canton of Lies, damnation Lies, and Statistics. As you can see, the amount as doubled from three per year to six per year. (Jeers and derision from the opposition benches)
  6. Era 1.5 actually; there is a second trilogy that comes after the Wax and Wayne books.
  7. I'll take pity on you. My post was a tongue-in-cheek statement referring to a chess tactic known as the 'skewer' and a character from Terry Pratchett's Discworld series. All of the posts about cookies and chouta are pure nonsense.
  8. Which can only be done with a Queen, Rook, or Bishop. There's no way an Assassin could do it (even in Vetinari's twisted chess).
  9. Great, just another thing to wait ten years for.
  10. Reference? Also, how would you use Hemalurgy to power it?
  11. So apparently you have to give someone all your Breath or none. Is is possible, however, to cheat this by Awakening something, giving someone your Breath, and then taking the Breath back from the Awakened object?
  12. That is a very good point you raise, but let me remind you of all the positive things the Inkwizishon has achieved, such as killing skaa, killing more skaa, killing noblemen, and killing obligators.
  13. We get a politician who can kill you in nineteen different ways.
  14. Maybe ze is meant to derive Kirchoff's laws? I haven't, but it seems possible, if pointless. I did once re-arrange the exponential interest formula so that one could determine the approximation of e required to get the desired increments (days, months, or years), which is a sort of similar thing.
  15. This. So much this. I mean, I'm very close to my siblings, but that doesn't mean that I'm in a romantic relationship with them.
  16. I will summon an Everstorm to knock over your house, then I will run towards a group of Parshendi archers applying a reverse lashing to you. I will then force you to listen to all of Lopen's jokes, after which I will jam three Hemalurgic spikes into your miserable body. When all this is finished, I will make you lifeless and do it again three times over.
  17. Yes, I knew this. The Inkwizitors, however, are much stronger. Just imagine an Inquisitor crossed with a politician. Now, that is scary.
  18. I dunno, I wouldn't mind either. Warmth would be excellent; fill in summer and tap in winter, and breath could be good for running etc.
  19. Sanderson2016! Actually, no. He wouldn't have time to write.
  20. I apologize to anyone who might have taken offense to my earlier post in this thread. I understand that it was an indelicate method of phrasing that might have caused offense to people, and quite rightly too. I thank Comatose for bringing the fact that my post was offensive to my attention, and have now edited my post to convey what I meant more correctly. This is a great fan-site for a great author, and it is great that we can keep it this way with moderators that are firm but fair. Again, I apologize to all people that took offense to my post, and hope we can move on positively. If anyone has any more problems or queries, please don't hesitate to PM me. I won't bite. Promise.
  21. The cookies are something of a joke in this forum. Look at the other introduction threads. I agree, the cosmere is overwhelmingly amazing. It's like the opposite of crapaflapnasti.
  22. I'm not sure where you got this idea from, but their chief weapon is the pen.
  23. Yeah cos Calc is about derivatives, rates of change, integrals, and areas, whereas the Syl thing (I'm not sure what it is either) is about set theory or group theory (I think; I'm trying to follow the sines but I may be leading you off on a tangent).
