Long Game 30: Journey Before Destination
Droughtbringer replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Petrik silently watched them, moving about, alive. They should not be alive. They had been tied up during a storming Highstorm. Mortals did not survive things like that. "Join them" a voice whispered in the back of Petrik's mind. "You could be one of them." Petrik cast those thoughts away, he did not yet know how one became a Knight Radiant like they were, and he couldn't just walk up to them and join them suddenly...that would be suspicious. Petrik walked away to go gather some more information. -

Hmm...that probably means that we are going to want to Lynch the people who are leaving so long as we don't have anyone else to lynch, if only to analyze the first set of posts with them, and see that they weren't doing anything suspicious. -

Petrik lounged on the small couch in the singular room he was able to get in Urithiru. As he sat there a sudden banging began echoing down the long hallways outside. A voice drifted down...something about the Knights Radiant...and going outside maybe? Storms, Petrik thought there is a highstorm tonight! Knight Radiant or no, only one of the Heralds would be able to survive a highstorm. But, if Petrik knew that going out into that Highstorm would allow him freedom, he would do it in a heartbeat. He held his breath, hoping that no one would think that because he was at the gala just the other day that he was one of the Knights Radiant. As the Stormwall hit Petrik was still sheltered in his little room, safe, and dry. Storms he was glad that he was not out there like the rest of those fools, fools that were probably dead. Petrik thought. Petrik left the building before the riddens had set in, if any of the Knights Radiant had survived Petrik was going to make sure that they survived. (If anyone saw Petrik at the party, then sees him walking around, looking nice, and didn't see him during the Highstorm, we can do some RP) Okay, well, we still have literally nothing to go off of, with RP taking up a lot of our discussion it makes it kinda hard to get a read on people. I will place my vote on Arinian, I don't trust him for some reason...probably has something to do with I don't like people who spy on PM's... @Arinian -

Long Game 30: Journey Before Destination
Droughtbringer replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Petrik let out a sigh. All these people had experienced something amazing, they had stood on the podium, and been announced as protectors of the world by Dalinar himself. They would talk about obscure terms like oaths and words spoken, everyone else seeming to understand what all was going on, they were all in on the secret, and, quite simply, Petrik was not. He heard of the oath...maybe if he spoke to some people who were not knights, those who had failed, and ask them about their trials, and what they had found out...maybe then Petrik could get the power to keep his promise. Petrik turned and silently left the party. -

Long Game 30: Journey Before Destination
Droughtbringer replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Petrik strolled across the grounds, acting like he fit in. He wore a loose shirt, covering not only the bandaged wound in his side, but also the scars down his arms. That wound in his side had started healing remarkably quickly. Petrik had expected, after his climb, to be bedridden for at least a few days, but he seemed to have been feeling even better than he had for a while. Petrik strolled through a party that was full of these 'Knight Radiants,' He had heard of these Radiants, who hadn't? He didn't know what power they had, but he would find a way to get it. Petrik had made a promise, and storms he was going to keep that promise. He strolled through the party, not looking for power exactly, but looking for a way to keep his promise, and if that required him to have power, then so be it. Petrik was going to have to go start finding information, figuring things out, and discover how to get these powers everyone here was supposed to have. (invitation if anyone is willing to RP in the waning hours of this chapter) So strategy wise as far as spending Honour goes. We have no idea how much each spren costs, so you can either be a leader or a follower. The leaders are going to be the people that are dumping their honor in constantly trying to get a Spren, They will be the first people with Spren.... The followers are going to end up waiting until the others have unlocked a spren, then dump all of their honor in an attempt to get the one they want, that is not taken. Shall be interesting. Also: There are also going to be people who put their foot into all the spren, just cause they can. -

Long Game 30: Journey Before Destination
Droughtbringer replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Okay then, I don't have much time, but let's talk strategy. We know the unjust can bond spren just as easily as the rest of us can, that means that we should try to keep up a count of how much honor everyone is earning, and see who can/does have a spren. The unjust loose their spren if they attempt any of their unjust faction actions which we can use to check people out, and make sure that they do in fact have a spren, and that they were not part of the last faction attack that was made, should anyone come into question. This leaves the hole of if they have three(or more) when one of them comes under suspicion then the rest of them have that one person use a spren bond, then the others still use faction actions to prove innocence...not the best strategy but the best one that I can come up with currently. @Amanuensis Is it 1 honor to bond a spren, or how exactly is this process going to end up working, the rules don't describe it that well. Also will you be making a tally of who receives how much honor, or will that not be posted officially? -

Then we can use the PM's for tonight, and so far as long as we keep it. If anyone who wants to vote sends me a vote about who they think we should kill, and why, then I will run the votes, and post them the next time, so long as I am still alive.- 1403 replies

Anniversary Game 3: The Curse of the Koloss
Droughtbringer replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
"Gah!" Drought had learned an important lesson, if you can't see people, people can't see you. So Drought burned steel. Blue lines sprouted from his body, stretching out across the area in front of him, pointing to a wide variety of metal objects scattered across the village streets. A set of faint lines pointed towards a moving object, a person. At last Drought could see someone, and people could see him. Drought has returned. So I am back. Sorry I have been gone, it's been hard to catch up from the days that I missed. If anyone is willing to PM me a list of important things that are/were going on, and a rundown of everything then I would much appreciate it. Now that I am back I am going to claim Coinshot. The reason for this is to prove my use to the village, and also, hopefully, get people to trust me. We could do the vote either here or via PM. If we decide to do this you must give me a reason for voting as you do. I will tally the votes and post them the next day (so long as I am not killed) This will hopefully give us some more to work off of.- 1403 replies

Long Game 30: Journey Before Destination
Droughtbringer replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Petrik stumbled forward, his dreams seemed foolish. His brethren were still slaves, they were not free. They would never be free...at least not unless Petrik could do more. He slowly moved his foot forward, the next step, although only about a foot high, loomed much higher. The motion sent another blast of pain across his body. Storms that was getting annoying. Petrik was used to the pain by now, each step causing it to flair up again. By now he had thought that he would be able to ignore it, yet even though the pain was not changing, his endurance was. Petrik was tempted to look upwards, but that would involve him taking his eyes off the steps, forcing him to stop climbing. And if Petrik stopped now, he was not sure if he would be able to get himself going again. How many of these storming stairs were there anyway? He felt like he had been climbing for hours today, though, he probably had. Petrik moved a hand down to check the bandage across his chest, carefully hidden away under his shirt. How am I expected to keep climbing these storming steps? I don't even know what I am looking for up here! A voice had guided Petrik to the stair case, telling him to climb, that all would be answered at the top of the stairs, that the pain would go away at the top of the stairs, that he could be free at the top of the stairs. He had started the climb days ago, and hadn't stopped for more than a couple of minutes of rest every now and then. Petrik slumped against the wall, the pain overcoming him. He couldn't continue onward. The wind blew, and he thought he could hear a voice coming from above him, echoing down the steep mountain path. If Petrik could just rise to his feet...he would be able to make it up...he would be able to be free. Petrik needed to live. "Life before death" The words escaped his parched lips Petrik needed to have strength "Strength before weakness" Petrik would complete his Journey "Journey before destination.". -
how was aimia invaded in the first place?
Droughtbringer replied to king of nowhere's topic in Stormlight Archive
Hmm...I could see something like setting fire to an island that they are all on, and letting it burn all the cremlings on the island as something that might work. Also soulcasting might be something that could work against them, depends if you could soulcast one cremling to something and end up souldcasting the entire network. -
While that would be really fun, we don't know anywhere near enough information to be able to make a good Hoid card.

I like it. Kinda. So What I am thinking is one of two things, 1. We create a Cosmere based game, and instead of summoning creatures of whatever you have a type of character you play IE: an Awakener, a Mistborn, a Twinborn, a Surgebinder, etc. The cards that you have in your hand are different abilities that you have, protections, favors you can call in, etc. Each ability has a cost, an Awakener would have a deck full of breaths and commands, the commands would cost a certain amount of breathes to activate, then you have the effect given. Could be interesting because most TCG require you to summon creatures to attack, whereas in this one you are the creature that attacks. 2. We set it in the Mistborn world, but creatures themselves don't have a cost, they have abilities that have a cost, and the cost doesn't necessarily have to be a metal burnt, you might have a house lord who can bring out little spear men that act as cannon fodder If those make sense,,,, That is a LOT of health, and can make things hard to manage, smaller numbers would be better, and if we decide to keep this set in the Mistborn world 16 would be a fun number.

Anniversary Game 3: The Curse of the Koloss
Droughtbringer replied to Metacognition's topic in Sanderson Elimination
No PM's, so no tineyes. Drought looked down, or, at least, he attempted to, he moved his head down, but that did not suddenly confer upon him the great gift of sight, or suddenly make the world appear about him in some new way that he could see. It gave him a kink in his neck, and that was all. Drought was confused about all of this talk of spiked, and not trusting metal, and all that jazz. So he stared out across the road and watched (metaphorically speaking of course) and waited for someone to, not thinking the blind man would be able to identify them by something as silly as their footsteps, cross in front of him and do something interesting. Life really was dull these days even with angry mobs and people dying.- 1403 replies

I exist! I think this is the right color for this...I have been busy with school, my quarter just ended, and my laziness made it so that I had a lot to get caught up on before the quarter ended. (More than I thought I would) but I will have time tomorrow to read through everything and get caught up on everything...some sort of thoughts when that happens will be posted. Well I guess I could win the the Automites...potentially...but I assume the Hoidites have used their conversions by now...so I’ll vote with the Automites on Assassin. Also @Assassin in Burgundy What shard are you? At this point just saying you aren't Dominion is going to get you killed.- 984 replies
