Long Game 30: Journey Before Destination
Droughtbringer replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
That was beautiful, and fun, and amazing...just thank you for the game Aman. What I want...doesn't make sense in this setting...but the way this game was structured made want to not be dead. I was sitting there, looking at my character, Petrik, who was significantly more developed in my head than here, and I wanted more. I wanted him to learn, and grow, and become a better person. I wanted him to interact with more people, to truly see him grow into more. And then I died. It was sad. And he no more grew. The End. Twas a great game, and a sequel game would be much appreciated. (Or any game where Aman does similar Write-ups) -
Long Game (3)2: Pulling on Strings
Droughtbringer replied to Orlok Tsubodai's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I've been feeling sick the last couple days, and didn't want to post anything incoherent, so I haven't been posting. I should have said that earlier, I am sorry. I'm the name of self preservation I'll vote on Sart I also don't like people voting on themselves. I do not think we should have the thugs role claim, they would either be double tapped at a point, or coverted, or just avoided altogether. Another option for role claiming is the vanilla villagers, they would be able to give us a slight chance of knowing when somone is converted, it wouldn't be a perfect system but would give us some ideas of when someone might have been converted. -

Quick Fix Game 22: Ghosts in the Night
Droughtbringer replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Okay So starting with Len... 1. Len decides to start out with the first discussion related post of the game, (not counting Sart's random vote on Bart because of his name. Talking about Slim numbers. Says there is probably 2 might be 3, 3 would be scary. If Len is an elim I would expect there to be 3 of them. 2. Second post is Len's response to Bart/Aman questioning his previous post. Says he would like more information, but still forcing himself to vote. Votes on Bart. 3. Doesn't want to get into a giant bandwagon (yet) on Bart, also says he (and most other people) would like to be able to PM. Start of day 2: 4. RP... Talks about good and bad Bandwagoning, good is everyone is suspicious of X bad is where one person is suspicious of X and everyone else follows. 5. Note on not revealing partners. 6. Doesn't think bussing will be overly effective this game due to low (unconfirmed) elim numbers. Also is taking 'steps' to avoid being traced to his night partner. 7. Didn't want to get prior bandwagon from spiraling out of control, but still thinks Bart is elim, thanks to Aman saying he was in the way, places vote on Bart. 8-9. He wants everyone to Reclaim, 7 is proposing the idea, 8 is saying he likes the idea, 9 is him asking people's opinions on it. The idea is that roleclaiming would allow the village to control what is going on better, and we could have multiple votes for vig kills, scanner roles, etc. Plus with us being able to have the people revealing not be able to be targeted specifically it could prove beneficial. Beginning of day 3: 10. Brings up HH for the lynch because of him seemingly playing players off of each other. 11. Talks about his and his partners planning, and how his ideas have played out. 12. Says that if HH is village then we can be suspicious of him, and that people are naturally suspicious of him. 13. "Thanks for that. :P" 14. Vote tally, plus talking to Lopen about his reasoning and switching to HH. Arin about his vote on me and switching it. 15. Notes that things look bad for him, his suspicions are unfounded, but he would have gone for a kill more beneficial to himself. Conclusion: He wanted to stop the Bartwagon, doesn't want partners revealed, and wants people to reveal roles. I have a fairly strong village read on him thanks to his pushing for the role reveal (which I think is a quite effective strategy) his arguments as to why he is a village seem real to me, and, for now, he has my trust. @Elenion Edit: I haven't been overly active, but I Good chunk of my time has been taken up recently by making this post, and going through the other two that I said I would do. I think that HH is the best option currently, I will hopefully have one more of these done before the turn ends, probably Arin's, but I may not be able to finish it in time. (I also have school right now so it's kinda hard...don't think I will actually be able to finish it)- 246 replies

Quick Fix Game 22: Ghosts in the Night
Droughtbringer replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Honestly, I am not suspicious of you, (any of the people in this game currently) but I do want something to go off of, and something to base my suspicions on, and something to look at, nothing may come of it, or something may, I am just trying to find something based off of the evidence that I have. Also as to why I am being more active, I am really impressed with what I have seen Aman do with his analysis, and it makes him a significantly more valuable player. I want to try to emulate that at least a little bit, and try to help the village out.- 246 replies

Quick Fix Game 22: Ghosts in the Night
Droughtbringer replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I am back! So it is a shame that we have lost Aman, and we haven't gained much information from it, but we still do have some things that we can look at. As Jondesu stated the Elims probably wanted Aman dead because he was out of the Lynch spotlight, and did not want him as part of the game. This leads me to expect that the Elim(s) probably were constantly placing votes upon Aman/Bart in an attempt to lynch them. I expect that one of the Elim's are thusly going to be someone that voted on them at at least 1 point in time, maybe even was attempting to push the vote towards them being lynched. That means that my suspects are: 1. @Elenion 2. @Jondesu 3. @Arinian (Won't let the tag work...) (as long as I counted correctly) I would like to give these guys a chance to speak for themselves, but I will attempt to go through and judge most of their posts in the thread later today when I have time.- 246 replies

Long Game 31: A World Without Vin
Droughtbringer replied to Conquestor's topic in Sanderson Elimination
This is horrid logic. You missed (at least) two other options for why it would say Kandra: 3) Stick decided to put Kandra in the title as to establish that it was a Kandra for ease of people reading through it. It would make a lot of sense for if a GM were to read through it and to have messages specifically stating which is which for organization purposes. 4) Stick believed that it was required to put Kandra in the title, I want to say that other games have had specifics in the titles of the PM's (like LG29 and the world chats) where they explicitly stated what the chat was, it is easy to just assume that that is what is expected in a game.- 313 replies

(1) Szeth Son-Son Mallano: DroughtBringer, (6) Hemalurgic_Headshot: OrlokTsubodai, Elenion, Amanuensis, Arinian, DroughtBringer, Straw (2) OrlokTsubodai: Hemalurgic_Headshot, Amanuensis, Jondesu Looking at this, and how little time is left I am going to say that HH looks like he is going to be lynched. I am moving my vote to him for one main reason: I do not want to see Orlok or Aman go, they have both been amazing, active players. They have been providing information for the village, and attempting to rally us together and keep us innactives (me) playing and posting in this game. Orlok has pulled out some...interesting information (The screenshot) and I think that other things like that could easily come in very useful for the village. So as that my vote is going onto Hemalurgic_Headshot. Edit: Added Straw's vote- 313 replies

Quick Fix Game 22: Ghosts in the Night
Droughtbringer replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
*Pulls out scale of measuring* Okay so if we have a group of people who are doing evil things, and a group of people, that are larger, and not doing evil things I would say that this game we have one slight advantage over other games of SE; we have one person to bounce ideas off of. You have your partner who is someone you can always trust (unless this game turns weird and somehow someone's partner is evil, but doubt that). Use that, abuse that fact. You can literally bounce any and all ideas off of someone, much like the Elims normally can with each other in a game. Sure we are slightly limited with the info the other person can provide us, but still, use that ability.- 246 replies

Long Game 31: A World Without Vin
Droughtbringer replied to Conquestor's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Well I am going to begin the plan I suggested last turn, and place my vote on Szeth @Szeth Son-Son Mallano as to try and lynch an innactive this cycle, mainly because I want to just get my plan going. Also we seem to have lost Randuir and Magestar who were both really active throughout the last cycle, and contributed a lot. It seems like it's going to be a game where those are fill the forums with posts die first. My big problem is this: @Amanuensis You are not dead. You have not said that you were attacked or any other reason as to why you are still alive. Reasons: 1. You are an Elim and thusly wouldn't kill yourself. 2. You are not an Elim and they are keeping you alive as to make us think you are an Elim. 3. You are not an Elim and you are just have some really bad guesses towards who is an Elim and thusly they want to keep you alive as to distract the village. 4. You are not an Elim but the Elims want to try and convert you because you are an amazing player at SE. Gah I hate these...but there is not enough evidence either way as to check weather or not you are an Elim so...my gut read is that I should trust you right now Aman. So welcome to my trust circle? Long Game 31: A World Without Vin
Droughtbringer replied to Conquestor's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I am here! Haven't had much time to post recently, life's been fairly hectic recently but here goes some stuff: @Amanuensis What do you mean to mess with the stats? I see know actual reason to go for that if I am evil, and...well don't have much else to say about that cause I am still kinda confused about that. @randuir I have a gut read on you that is telling me that you are an Eliminator, don't really have much evidence for it, plus you are specifically saying that your chances of survival aren't that bad which might make it so that you have a better reason to survive for a while...don't know though. Me: I have been lurking...kinda. I kept a tab open on my laptop with the thread open on it and it probably said that I was online a lot. I am planning to go back through and go through my reads of more people, but don't have enough time for that right now. Any questions that anyone wants me to address? About the Contribution Crusade: My point was that we should not let innactives get in the way of a good solid lynch. If we are attempting to lynch someone, and someone else brings up the CC then we should not suddenly stop and lynch the innactive, and we should probably start doubting the person who brought that up. I suggest that at the beginning of a day turn we decide on an inactive to lynch and put say...3 votes on them. Then we discuss evidence as if they are not being voted on, and if we decide that someone else might be guilty then we move our votes to them, hopefully having at least 2 of the 3 votes being able to be moved, along with anyone else voting for the suspicious person as to get our lynch off on them. This would allow us to have a plan to lynch innactives, but can easily be moved to someone who is actually suspicious.- 313 replies

With the Contribution Crusade: We should still lynch inactives, we might get lucky and lynch an eliminator...but we shouldn't focus on just the inactives, they could be used as just a simple distraction towards what we are doing and focusing on and end up costing us the game.- 313 replies

Petrik spun around the Shardbearer, his energy quickly leaving him. As the Shardbearer swung their blade towards Petrik he lept upwards, catching his left hand on the flat of the blade and flipping his legs around to kick the Shardbearer in the helm. As the shock reverberated through him a pain shot up his legs, but quickly faded. As Petrik landed on the ground his energy seemed to run out, he nearly collapsed from the sudden lack of energy. The faceplate now was seeping stormlight, and the Initiate seemed to have gotten in another blow at the Shardbearer legs during the movement. @randuir, @etchelion (won't let me tag you) -

Hmm...This is a pretty interesting comment...I am not sure if I trust it that much, the word "certain" there makes things interesting. (this is from my read through of everything Lopen has posted posted, more will come if I find anything else)
