Long Game 30: Journey Before Destination
Droughtbringer replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Nice, just what I wanted @randuir Petrik dashed across fallen bodies, both human and not, his spear flashing wildly, taking some Voidbringers in the eye, and other exposed parts. He stabbed his spear down through a monster's chest, the weight of the body dragging his spear into the ground. He vaulted off of his spear, ripping it out of the body, and sending himself flying through the area, over the heads of multiple Voidbringers. As Petrik reached the crest of his 'flight' he got a glimpse of a Shardbearer facing down a lonely man. He couldn't make out any more details than that before his vision was once again blocked by the marbled bodies of the Voidbringers. Petrik spun his spear in a flash, light seaming to dance around within it. Petrik was expected to help and serve these people, and, even though he was never supposed to be here, he still felt like he should do what he could. Two Voidbringers fell, allowing him to see the Initiate facing down the Shardbearer. The initiate was weaving in and out of the strokes of the blade, only just avoiding being caught by the glistening weapon. The Shardbearer glanced down at their opponent, and, not deeming him worth their time, turned to go back to the battlefield. The initiate dashed forward, a sudden burst of light accompanying his movements, and stabbed at the Shardbearer's leg, A roar of pain echoed across the field, as the the Shardbearer let out a scream of agony. They turned around and smacked the initiate upside the head, sending him flying. The faint light still emanating from the Initiate went out, as the Shardbearer approached, blade raised high. Petrik wouldn't be able to close in fast enough, but there was another way to save the Initiate. Petrik pulled out his sphere pouch, and threw it toward the Initiate. He pulled his spear back, and made threw it towards the group as well. The spear collided with the pouch, giving it a bit more distance. The blade began its decent, coming close to the Initiate's head when he breathed in a sharply, light bursting forth from his skin. He rolled out of the way of the blade with a burst of speed. The Shardbearer planted their foot on the Initiate's chest, preventing him from rolling out of the way. As the blade began it's second deadly decent Petrik finished closing the distance, jumped up, and kicked the flat end of the blade, knocking it away from the initiate. okay so that seems like it went well. If you want to write some sort of coordinate fight with us attacking from either side of the Shardbearer, forcing her to spin and attempt to take us both on that seems like it might be what would come next. Hope you're okay with me having you do a bit there. Also as to not completely kill off a main villain when we shouldn't actually be able to Petrik being shot by lightning suddenly would be pretty fun... (You have full permission to act out Petrik Randuir, also nice RP there, twas fun to read) -

Hmm...I am slightly confused as to where this lynch is coming from, but it would be my first time lynched in an SE game so all is well. I guess that, thanks to a competition of interests, and and want of being able to not die I will have to put my vote onto Bugsy, sorry, I don't want you to die, but I am also concerned of the sudden amount of 'gut votes' placed upon me. no one seems to have much reasoning...and you guys have played a lot of games and have heard people to try to get out of a lynch before. I am incapable of bringing up any information that you haven't heard before, no plea, no excuses, no anything as to why I shouldn't be lynched (especially considering you don't have any reasons for lynching me) If this turns south on you, I am sorry @Bugsy6912- 360 replies

Long Game 30: Journey Before Destination
Droughtbringer replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
So my deepest reasoning for why we should put Arinian in jail is for the fact that we already know his crimes. If we put Alvron, or anyone else in jail then we are giving the Unjust more to use against us. They learn more of our crimes, they get an easier faction kill against us, and sure we might actually be imprisoning an unjust, but we might imprison one if we decide to imprison Arinian as well. So my vote is on Arinian. Petrik charged forwards, meeting the Voidbringers head on. A new energy filled him, urging him to action, urging him to fight. He slammed his spear towards the closest one, not giving it a chance to respond. He dragged the spear out of the body, then shoved it backwards, catching another that he had seen out of the corner of his eye. A sword swung down towards him, striking towards his shirt, just before it hit his shirt went rigid, causing the sword to bounce off as if it were armor. Petrik jumped to the side, and struck out with the haft of his spear, taking it in the leg. He waded through the army of Voidbringers, striking out and a flurry of strikes. Whenever he began to run out of energy, the pain in his side returning, he would step back, take a deep breath, then plunge back into the fight. as he waded through he eventually crested a small rise in the rock, giving him a slight view over the battlefield. Corpses were scattered, both men and Voidbringer alike. He seemed to be off to the side, next to an empty space, devoid of bodies; living or dead. A small group of Humans stood off to the side, along with a slightly larger group of Voidbringers. One wore glistening Shardplate, and had a Shardblade held proudly before them. It would take a few moment for Petrik to close the distance, and help if a fight were to break out with the Shard bearer. He took a deep breath, then plunged back into the fray. If you start the fight, and reach a point where she is about to strike you down, Petrik would love that moment to hop in and help @Randuir Also as of now I am going to be RPing Petrik as a Stoneward just for future reference. -
Long Game 30: Journey Before Destination

Petirk stumbled across the ground, the bride having ripped open the wound in his side. And now he was being sent into the thick of battle? All for some captain who couldn't handle himself. Petrik paused and stopped himself. He needed to be better than that, he needed to be willing to protect everyone, this group of people had put their trust in him, and Petrik was not going to betray that trust. He took a deep breath, the pain in his side fading, readied his spear, and began his assault. Hmm...well I don't have many suspicions currently, and I have been kinda hard on Arininian all game so I don't really want to lynch him currently. No one is really ringing warning alarms, so guess I'll just watch for a bit. @Amanuensis can we put a vote on Quiver since we know he will be returned to jail on this turn? -

Droughtbringer replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I enjoy a good bandwagon! Drake, Quiver. Okay so reasoning: People/person that I (mostly) trust has asked me to pardon Drake, and because of that I am going to. I will not be mentioning these/this person/people because I don't want to, and this way they are protected from anything else...plus I enjoy a good bandwagon. Quiver practically almost got me killed, still annoyed about that...Petrik isn't though...so seems good to me. Petrik struggled under the weight of the bridge. How did he get drawn into this? He had just been looking at becoming a Knight Radiant, and now everyone just assumed that he was one. Petrik did not want to go off on their suicidal missions, and die for them. The pain in his side shot across his body with every step that he took, the only thing stopping him from screaming was a piece of cloth he put in his mouth so he had something to bite down on. A small line of Pain spren trailed behind Petrik, and he hoped that he no one would notice them. He plodded along, silently begging for the pain to end. Thought I had posted some RP before, but never got around to actually posting it, sorry for how late this is. -

Long Game 30: Journey Before Destination
Droughtbringer replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
ohhh Okay, that makes sense...I mean I wouldn't trust @Elbereth...but if you chose too.. you be you man, you be you. Not many suspicions that I have here, I have a few people that I don't trust, but not anyone that I think might be Unjust. Petrik looked at a sphere, able to see the storm raging inside. He wanted that power, he needed that power, yet it couldn't get at it. All the Knights Radiant seemed to be able to just absorb the light, and use it. It didn't seem hard, you just needed to know the secret, and Petrik had no idea of how to find that secret. -

Long Game 30: Journey Before Destination
Droughtbringer replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Sorry, got busy so I couldn't do much last chapter, I should be good for the next little bit at least, I'll try to say something beforehand next time. So hmm...So much possible things going on...I am slightly curious as to why @Arinian trusts El...but I'll let it slide(Cause he slid away ) Not that many suspicions that I have going on..still don't trust Arinian but don't feel like trying to get a lynch on him again if we aren't certain that he won't just be able to slide out of it again... Petrik felt like crem, cremy crem to be exact. Pain shot up his arm whenever he had to move it in the slightest, yet, he had to pretend that everything was fine. The others thought him a Knight Radiant like they were, they expected him to be able to heal from any wounds that he took, to be practically indestructible like the rest of them. He was not. Petrik had been accepted as an initiate, and that meant that he was that much closer to becoming a full fledged Knight Radiant. To be able to protect those that he cared about, to be able to truly make a difference for once. Petrik wanted that, Petrik needed that. He needed to be useful. He looked around Urithuru, hoping to be able to find some secrets, find some hope, find a way to protect. -

Petrik let out a groan, a groan, a happy groan, for Petrik was still alive. He lay in a heap still where he had fallen before, pain bouncing across his body in waves. His left leg was broken, he knew that. His right arm probably had been broken in a few places, and dislocated at the shoulder. At least I am not bleeding...much. he thought. The roars of the chasmfiend pelted his ears, making his head hurt even worse. The world spun around him, making the area around him a weird mirage of blurred colors. It felt surreal, he could just float away, he sensed that. As he allowed himself to float away the pain seemed to fade. No, not fade, it is still here...it just isn't as...urgent...yes, urgent. It would be such a sweet release, A break from the pain, a break from caring, a break from his promises. His promises what even were those? He couldn't remember anymore, and it would just be so much easier to float away... The pain was distant, someplace far off that Petrik didn't need to worry about, it was going to be so easy to just let go... No! He needed to breath, to just take a breath, and things would be better... but it would be so much easier to just let go. Something buzzed around Petrik, it would be so annoying, why wouldn't it just leave Petrik alone? He could see Deathspren now, they were creeping towards him, something inside him screamed that this was not right, but it was just so much easier to go with it. Well since this Chasmfiend is practically dead...anyone interested in having another one come at us? Right after we take this one down, and relax a bit? We still have a day or so, plus then we would get a cool write-up from Aman about it. We would have just over a day to take down the new one. Hmm okay, so I can't see much suspicious things going on except for everything with @Arinian but I don't see much of a reason to go after him quite yet...but we also need something to happen...so I guess I'll toss my vote there. Arinian Disclaimer: I might get called out for bandwagon-ing, but I am fine with that. -

Petrik pulled himself upwards with his one free hand, sending a sharp pain from his shoulder across his chest. Storms that hurt. He could not get a good enough handhold to be able to pull himself up, but he saw some vines slithering upwards towards him. Petrik was forced to let go of his feeble handhold and hang from his arm again, inducing more pain. I've dealt with worse than this. Petrik thought like that one time I... He couldn't come up with anything. As a vine snaked by Petrik reached his arm out and grabbed it, giving him a better handhold. Allowing him to pull himself up enough to dislodge his arm, painfully. His arm was a bloody mess, deep lacerations just above his elbow, and the from there down pockmarked with bleeding wounds. At least I'm not dead. Petrik thought just before he lost his grip on the vine, dropping the 10 or so feet that still separated him from the ground with magnificent grace...for a rock. -

Kaladin grabbed Petrik by the shoulder, and pushed him closer to the edge. "You ready initiate?" "No! You don't understa-" Kaladin shoved Petrik off the side of the cliff, sentencing him to his death. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Petrik took a deep breath, a newfound strength surging through his body. He twisted through the air, struggling to grab onto a vine, a rock, or something to grab onto before he plummeted to his death. He reached for the wall, his fingers brushing against the stone, getting slashed open. He was only a couple of inches away form being able to get his hand onto a handhold. A vine sprouted from the wall a few feet below him, coming out an inch or so more than the rock wall itself. He reached down for it, and wrapped his fingers around it, getting a good grip. The vine stretched out, slowing Petrik's fall. The vine stopped, then yanked up on his arm, ripping his arm out of his socket before snapping in half. Petrik's fall continued, bringing him closer to the ground. Petrik knew that if he were to hit the ground it would surely kill him. He saw a crack about 10 feet above the ground, then stabbed his arm into it, ripping gouges into it, and, finally, bringing him to a stop. -

Petrik followed after the initiates, trailing them, trying to figure out where there magic came from. Petrik had had minimal contact with the other people in Urithiru, and did not know much of the city. The initiates entered a large circular building, and Petrik, carefully checking into the room. The one known as Captain Kaladin seemed to be sticking a shardblade into the wall. Petrik moved to take his head out of the exit when the world seemed to melt before him. The interior room seemed to dissipate into a mist-like substance while the sky formed out of the same mist. The ground beneath him seemed to switch suddenly into stone. Soulcasting? Petrik thought, No, the sun is in a different position...are we somewhere else? The captain seemed to be saying something, and the initiates seemed to be distracted by it. Petrik closed in close and heard "We get to kill one!" What? What are we trying to kill? “Did I say we? I meant you all, of course. My Squires and I are only here to supervise...No better way to build teamwork than to face adversity together. Am I right?” It can't be that bad if the captain thinks they can handle it by themselves, they are all new to this after all. “In case you’re all wondering how you’re getting down there, well… I hope you listened when I said to bring every infused sphere you own, because trust me. You’re going to need a lot to survive this drop.” Wait..DROP?!?!? Petrik's eyes went wide as the captain shoved one of the initiates over the edge, and he took a step backwards, stumbling causing rocks to skip across the ground. "Who's next?" I'm going to die... Petrik thought if this madman expects us all to survive that. Some of us don't have the ability to survive a Highstorm. A few initiates jumped off, completely of their own free will. Storming idiots. The Captain's eyes seemed to be searching for another target to push off the edge. His eyes wonder across the crowd, and passed over Petrik. Petrik let out of sigh of relief, until the Captain's eye flicked back onto him. Storms! (potential for if someone wants to RP some things going on still on top of the oathgate, tis available.) I am against lynching Sheep, I don't think that it would be a good idea, if they are an elim then they are already out, and if he is not then there is just no reason...plus Petrik would be against lynching them.
