Shae led him into the art studio, a large space with high ceilings. He hummed, looking around. "The clay is over here... I'll watch your back. You can relax, if you want to." He stepped over to the clay, setting up what they'd need to craft the bowls and pots.

He blinked, the quick experience over too fast. "Um... no... that was actually really fun. Thank you..." He was a little breathless from how fast that had been, but he was smiling. "Come along, I'll show you my workspace." He smiled, gesturing for Dan to follow as he led him.

He hesitated, then pointed. He might enjoy flying, who knows. Besides, at the very least, it'd be a once on a lifetime opportunity. "The school building. I teach in the art studio." He smiled, then nodded without thinking to Dan, freezing and biting his lip as he grimaced, trying to pay closer attention to his actions. "Um... sorry... Thank you for doing this." He smiled again. "And you aren't really right. I don't think you're snarling when you grin. Your eyes look to happy for that."

He jumped in shock at the sudden take off, watching him fly around before returning, then bit his lip and smiled at what he'd said. "My... Dan, it's fine. I'd probably do the same if I could fly. I can't imagine what it's like to live with that kind of freedom... if you'd rather fly, I won't mind. It'll just take me a few more hours to finish. It's hardly any trouble." He smiled, meaning it. He hated when people had their freedom restricted by anyone except themselves. He wouldn't force Dan into anything- it would have to be his choice.

He blinked, nodding without thinking and beginning to walk. "Um... why do you hide your smile, if you don't mind my asking? It may be a bit sharper than normal, but... it isn't unsettling by any means."

Shae blinked, then nodded to Erlend, a bit uneasy. Still... he'd try. "As you wish, my... er... D-Dan..." he stumbled over his words, feeling awkward at the unfamiliar request. He'd try his best to respect him though... He nodded to the door. "Um... I'll lead you to my at room. The children don't take my class all to often, so I shouldn't have any show up for another few hours. Thank you for the help." He smiled, feeling a distinct discomfort as he kept himself from nodding. This would be hard...

^Thank you! Unless I can add something he's likely to have, which I couldn't find, I'm not all that likely to add anything, so sure! Post him. Besides, being below the maximum power level and still beating someone in a god-tier level is what makes this game fun- it's so challenging you have to think outside the box!

He nodded, thinking about that. "I understand... I know it may be surprising, but... I do know how to take a man down, and I've killed before. I'm just... very happy to be past that point in my life..." He grimaced, then continued. "But, to be frank, my lord is simply a title I use to indicate that I respect someone. Slightly old-fashioned of me, I know, but regardless, since that is the case, you fit the title. I do apologize if it annoys you. Maybe you could help me on an art project to calm down? I have a few clay pots and bowls that I'm hoping to get finished and fired before the end of the day, if you'd like to help." He smiled, bowing slightly to them. The man reminded him of an aristocrat in so many ways... old habits he'd thought were almost dead seemed to come alive around people like him. Luckily, there weren't many in this place.

Shae looked at him, humming softly. "Um... my lord? Are you alright? Is there any way I can help you?" He hummed, slightly concerned about Dan. He did care for everyone, and seeing someone so obviously upset made him want to help undo their negative emotion. That was an actual habit he'd formed since arriving, one he was proud of.

Shae watched the man leave, a bit stunned. He wasn't complaining though... that odd box that made music with wires and lightning... some kind of technology. All the weird devices he'd never even imagined were possible that existed here, not to mention all the things he hadn't ever even thought of in fancy... It left him uneasy and confused when he interacted with such things- especially the ones that harnessed lightning and channeled it through wires to do all sorts of things. It scared him. Give him candles and his own hands over those terrifying, unnatural devices any day...

He nodded, smiling. "I am grateful. I was wondering if you had any requests for new artwork I might be able to create. I am running low on projects, but I don't have nearly enough time to try a stained glass piece. Though I'm hoping too soon." He waited, hoping that his imitation of what his father had called the 'terrace' people was successful. Honestly, he felt proud, but he was slightly ashamed of that. it was his talent that had gotten into this situation- first out and about where he'd been kidnapped, then somehow thrown into this world. It left him confused and uncertain of much, but he knew that pride would be his downfall if he let it control his actions, so he'd decided to be the most humble person in the church, and to do his best to avoid pride. His dads' stories had given him the perfect people to emulate in that attempt, so he chose to try his best.

Shae smiled. "Thank you, my lord, I was wary after learning of the... unimaginable destruction of the great wars. I can barely conceive of how much chaos must have occurred during those times... as it has occurred twice before that the many guilds have gone to war, I was worried about the safety of our home, and the cathedral. After seeing some of the many plans and designs this keep had drawn for it, I was able to create a history that would allow this place to remain defensible and safe for a long time. And, if someone should somehow destroy this place while the forgery lasts, then... once it is over, and the magic fails, then the entire building should be restored, as it is not the building that was affected by whatever destruction was caused. I merely hope that this pleases the holy ones." He smiled, bowing his head.

It's a running gag. He's hilariously full of himself and utterly useless. We all laugh at him- unless something changed after I left the first time- So... not OP, just a comedy joke reeled in for it's second round.

Thank You! No problems- in large amounts of similar seeming text, lines can get blurred and you can accidentally skip a line or two without realizing it. Especially if you're doing it often. I'm glad I was able to pull him down a couple dozen notches- thank you for the advice and help!

Well, if mastermind is the smartest in the world, than Puppet master might be above that, and potentially other such titles like ventriloquist or Sherlockian or Machiavellian. Really, you just need to think of things that imply best intelligence and you could appropriate the title.

Hey! So, I was talking with a friend of mine, and we came up with this idea for an rp. So, the basic idea is that you wake up in a clearing one day, no longer human and confused about how you got where you are. You've been combined with an animal in some way* and you need to figure out how you got there, where you are and what you're going to do to get home. If you're interested, I'll add you to the rp PM. It started off as an idea for a furry dnd style thing, but I know not everyone is comfortable with that, so I'll try to make it as normal an rp as I can, that way anyone can join in. Freeform, and just getting into the adventure part. If you'd like to roleplay and help me build it into something worth playing, or just one of the two, please let me know! *(this combining with an animal could be something as subtle as enhanced senses, sharper teeth, and animal eyes; as interesting as gaining animal limbs like becoming a satyr or centaur or something; or as obvious as becoming an anthropomorphic version of an animal.)
