  1. He chuckled, shaking his head. "That was adorable... I'm definitely doing it again. Besides, you certainly seemed to enjoy it. I don't see why you're sorry." He grinned, noticing the exact shade of red his cheeks turned, planning to try and make a painting of the moment. He halfheartedly wondered why he was so interested in making paintings of the man, brushing it off as a passing interest. Besides, how many people did you meet that were like Dan? Part hawk, part dog, mostly human... it couldn't be common.
  2. Shae grinned, chuckling as he continued the action, resisting the urge to pull Dan down so his head would be in his lap and easier to reach. This was an adorable reaction- he really was dog-like...
  3. He hummed, deciding to try something. He began scratching behind Dan's ears, curious about the reaction he'd get. He'd said he liked it, right? He was curious- besides, no harm done. Right?
  4. He sighed, sitting down and chuckling. "No offense, but when we land I get a small rush of adrenaline every time... I'll just sit for a minute, until my legs can function again..." He grinned, smiling.
  5. He nodded, thinking. "I wouldn't mind that... just warn me next time you plan to go down, okay? You nearly gave me a heart attack..."
  6. He blinked, blushing. "S-sorry... you just surprised me..." He relaxed, moving a bit away from him. "You can land if you want, It was just a bit sudden..." He refused to be embarrassed by a survival instinct. And yet, he was blushing slightly. That aggravated him.
  7. Shae felt the sudden loss of altitude and reflexively clung to Dan, pulling close and freezing to keep from falling. He would've been embarrassed except that his mind was more focused on other things, like not falling. His mind had gone blank temporarily with that panic, and he couldn't manage to say anything.
  8. He chuckled, nodding. "I bet it feels great when people scratch behind them." He paused. "Wait, you act like a dog? Like, if I threw a stick you'd fetch?" He chuckled, grinning incredulously. He was exaggerating, but the small jibe had come out without his thinking about it.
  9. He hummed. "You're claustrophobic? And part dog? Wow... I feel bad, but that's also kind of adorable. Dogs are the best." He smiled.
  10. He nodded. "Okay... do you ever want to go to that planet? Be with your family? It must be lonely being the only one in the alleycity..." Such an odd name... though it was accurate...
  11. He nodded, that fact growing harder to ignore as it was pointed out. "Makes sense... do you ever talk to your mother?"
  12. He chuckled. "She sounds like a nice lady... where did you grow up?" He smiled, hoping childhood wasn't as touchy a subject for Dan as it was for him.
  13. He looked at him, hesitating. "You don't seem like that kind of person... besides, I trust you. More than I probably should, honestly... but you did save me twice already. I feel safe after that. Well... safer. Besides, I could grab you if I had to, so you'd fall with me..." He hummed, thinking about that.
  14. He snorted, chuckling. "No, I'm nearsighted. My tin lets me see things far away. It's kind of like a trade off though, close things get so easy to see I can't really make out what they are... sort if like if you use glass to magnify something enough that you can no longer see all of it, but... it just makes it hard to focus on any one thing." He smiled, shaking his head.
  15. He smiled, nodding. "It sounds wonderful... part if me wishes I'd been born with steel allomsmcy instead of tin... but still, at least I can see still, so that's good." He smiled he burned a small bit of tin, seeing the ground now and smiling. It looked so beautiful...
  16. He shrugged. "Okay. Flying is good too... it's a beautiful night. Do you always get to enjoy flying like this?" He hadn't really ever flown before. Not like this. Last time, he'd been dropped randomly for no reason. It had been fun, but this was nicer. Less exciting, but just as awesome in a different way.
  17. He hummed. "It is a bad idea... you can do it if you want to though..." He but his lip, bracing himself.
  18. He stepped out of the front door and heard that. "Dude, over here. And while I can't say I've ever jumped out of a window, I can say it might be fun... we'll see." He hummed. "For now, let's get started, shall we?"
  19. Shae stuck his head out of the window and stared down at him. "Really? Seriously? What, are you going to catch me? How is that any less painful than hitting the ground?" He rolled his eyes, closing the window and walking out of the building normally.
  20. He nodded. "Sure. And yes, I have a headache... I'm used to them though... I'll just... get a shirt on..." He got out of bed quickly pulling out a shirt and pulling it on, tucking it in like he normally did. "Okay, so... you ready to go risk my life a few times?"
  21. Shae forced himself to calm down, biting his lip to make himself think so he could respond. "Er... n-no... I don't think so... at least, I don't think either of us is in pain anywhere, so... we didn't fight..." The other implication was something he just chose not to even consider. Besides, neither if them seemed to be suffering, so nothing could've happened. They hadn't even slept together- which he knew because of thr coolness of the bed aside from where he'd slept. "S-so... it should still be your birthday... we could only have been out for a few hours, and we got done pretty early in the morning, so... what else did you want to do today...?" He intentionally ignored his pounding head, though it was harder than normal. He was used to getting headaches from exhaustion while working late on projects, and he'd gotten somewhat used to them.
  22. Shae winced, blinking tiredly as he sat up, rubbing his eyes and looking around. His eyes froze when he saw Dan, slowly moving up to his face, his own going red. He didn't remember what exactly happened, but he did know one thing- he was currently shirtless. He always slept that way in his room, a habit from some of the hotter times he'd spent in Hallindren. Of course, that meant that he could see the muscle that was usually hidden under his shirt, along with some of the more obvious scars from the shrapnel that the explosion had caused- the one that had left him nearsighted. All in all, a pretty embarrassing moment.
  23. He blushed. "Thank you...? Yours is pretty too... I think... my eyes are kind of blurry right now..."
  24. He blushed. "Mostly Nalthis... Hallindren is why I have such weird clothes..." He hummed. "I'll prove I can fight if you really want me to... I just don't wanna hurt you..." He hummed, blinking and looking at him curiously. "Your feathers are pretty..." He touched his feathers, feeling them. He got a bit absorbed in that, staring at the feathers as he finished his sixth glass, not sure if he wanted to drink any more.
