He blushed. "S-sure..." He stood, almost not managing the feat, and didn't stop blushing. "I-I... have it in my actual room... I didn't want anyone to see it, and I... I was planning on burning it soon after you see it..." He cleared his throat, shuffling uncomfortably.

He blinked. "Then they were stupid..." He cleared his throat, actually responding to him this time. "Actually yes- I finished the painting. I'm waiting to forge it so you can see the b-before and after... I-I think it'll... It might... ah..." He blushed deeply, suddenly growing very nervous and uncomfortable. Should he actually do this?

He blinked, that managing to break the haze of confusion around his thoughts. "Dan... you know I don't hate anyone. If I hated you, it would defeat the whole point of that. Come on..." He couldn't make himself chuckle. "I'm... just in shock..." He blinked, then remembered what he'd painted. He knew one thing that might make Dan feel better, and he was willing to give it a shot- he'd need Dan to see that painting, and before that he needed to calm him down. "We are best friends... nothing will change that..."

He thought about that, then shook his head. "I don't know..." He was still blushing.

Shae blinked, obeying more out of a sheer inability to process anything fully than personal desire- he mostly wanted to hide and never reappear. Still... This was probably for the best...

Shae managed to nod, though that was a very labour-intensive movement.

Shae had decided to go up and apologize to Dan for being so rude- then he'd come up to the top of the stairs. He'd only heard the conversation after Dan had said he was nice, which made him happy, but... then Dan had confessed he had a crush on him. Shae was still staring in shock when the stranger brushed past him, and he only vaguely heard the 'good luck' that had been thrown Dan's way. He was blushing a deep scarlet, and he had no idea what to do, or what to say, or what he felt about it. Honestly, if he tried to think about it too hard, he'd probably end up passing out right now. Just from being so overwhelmed he wouldn't be able to handle everything. He realized he still hadn't moved, and that he was sort of stuck right then, a bit out of it. Scratch that, totally out of it. At least it gave him time for self-introspection...

Shae woke up the next morning, right around the time that the monk and Osla met each other. He yawned, then snuggled into the weirdly comfortable pillow in front of him. It was abnormally formed, and he liked it- though he was annoyed at how uncomfortable his shirt was. He blinked, opening his eyes to stare at Dan's chest as he realized something. He hadn't removed his shirt, so he hadn't fallen asleep intentionally or in his room. He blushed when he realized where he was and what he'd been pressing his face against. He squeaked, rolling away and using his hands to force himself up just enough that running let him keep his balance- which he chose to do by sprinting for the stairs and flying down them with an embarrassed blush covering his face. What had he just done? Why had he... He suddenly remembered why, everything flooding back as he went an even deeper shade of red and pressed his back against the wall of a hallway not far from the stairwell. Oh colors... he wasn't going to get himself out of this tangle very easily, was he?

Shae breathed, pretending to be asleep and managing to stay awake just long enough to snuggle up against his chest before passing out. He was grateful- either he'd wake up tomorrow to the sight of Dan's chest, or his real self would. He had no idea how long this stamp would last, honestly, but either way he knew he'd at least subconsciously enjoy it. His main regret was that He hadn't been able to get his shirt off before falling asleep- it was really uncomfortable to sleep in this kind of shirt, after all.

He nodded, humming softly. "Neither would I... you're warm..." He just lay there, managing to relax because hr knew he wouldn't have to move. That was enough to let him act asleep, which just might be enough to let him actually fall asleep.

He hummed. "If you really want to..." He wouldn't let go, but he didn't really feel like telling Dan that. Besides, he was starting to feel tired, and the little nightmare episode had taken its toll on him mentally. He felt exhausted, even if he was still talking.

He nodded, thinking about that. It certainly gave him a decent chance. "Okay... s-so... I pretty much fit that bill, o-or I would if I was taller... huh?" He chuckled nervously, though that was forced. He even made himself blush to help hide the real meaning of the fake chuckles. He sighed. "Okay... your turn."

He nodded. "Okay... What is it about guys that you like? I mean... what makes a man attractive? For you, at least. I've heard people describe how pretty girls are and stuff, but..." He sighed, curious.

He chuckled, shaking his head. "I don't know what you mean. But yes, you'll be the first person I ask for help if I need it..." He smiled, still holding on. Sure he could let go now, and he'd probably be fine as long as he stayed near Dan, but... He honestly didn't want to...

He nodded, thinking about that. "Okay..." He had no idea how that would work- he barely had the basics of how the traditional thing was done- but he'd cross that threshold a very long time from now if he ever came to it. "I almost asked you to lick my chest that day... It really is nice to suddenly have the pain go away. I just thought it would be weird..." He shook his head. "Anyways... your question?"

He blinked, then shook his head. "I've never really thought about romance before... or romantic things in general..." He sighed, relaxing slightly. This was easy, this was good. He could handle this... "How far have you gone with the people you romanced? Was it just kissing? Or did you go farther?"

He nodded, closing his eyes and holding onto him. "Thank you..." He hummed, waiting for his question. Hopefully one that he could answer.

He nodded, feeling marginally better. Well enough to keep asking questions, if not very good ones. "How do you feel about me? I'm pretty pathetic, aren't I...?" He shivered, still hugging him.

He flinched, trembling and gripping Dan suddenly, gasping for breath as he came to his senses, as if he had forgotten how to breath during that moment. "Explosion... a bad one... I don't want to talk about it..." He just held on without letting go, not certain he'd be able to handle himself if he let go of the comfort right now. He certainly didn't plan on going home tonight anymore, not after that memory... He'd probably be out of it for a few hours at least.

Shae blinked, freezing. The memory flashed across his mind- the sound of glass and crystal cracking, fire and heat, shards of broken materials shooting past him and leaving him both burned and scarred, being dragged away and healed a bit by the man who'd taken him... He zoned out, staring at Dan with eyes that weren't actually seeing him, stuck in visions of the past and the pain and terror of that single moment.

He blinked. "But... it's your turn... are you sure?" He kind of wanted to hear what Dan was curious about, and that purr with that grin made him want to kiss the man. He needed something to distract him, preferably memories.

He nodded. "Okay... so... questions?" A gentle reminder that would look like him trying to change the subject from embarrassment. The continued blush and genuine desire to return to the question game made that easy to use.

Shae blinked, then blushed deeply. "A-ah... I see. Er... so... Okay then..."He cleared his throat, biting his lip as he waited for the next question to come.

Shae blushed, feeling annoyed and disheartened. He mentally cursed that Wereci man, determined to learn more about him eventually. Maybe he'd learn what the guy looked like and be able to learn what Dan thought was hot... thoughts for later. He focused on the now. "Well... I was a painter. I made paintings using ridiculously amazing paint, and sold or gave it to the most rich and powerful men and women and gods on the planet..." He smiled, remembering those days. "Who were your parents?"
