  1. Hey, I kinda have a request. Can we make discussion vs RP obvious? I tend to just skim through really long RP and miss the discussion. So can we just color our discussion or spoiler the RP or something? If this is just me, then ignore this.
  2. Ok, very late RP. Set during the highstorm. Panic was running rampantly throughout the Initiates, but Araon wasn't particularly worried. He had spent many nights on the move, and that meant he had weathered quite a few highstorms. Nevertheless, he was on edge. It was inevitable regardless of how many times you spent a highstorm outside. When he left his room, he had made a snap decision to put on a hardened leather jerkin, and it seemed to have paid off. When the stormwall hit, the leather kept him warm and protected him from the sharp pains from small stones and piercing rain. He figured it was in some way cheating, but Commander Kaladin hadn't established any guidelines. Nevertheless, he was worried. He felt himself being drawn towards thinking about the Highstorm he ha seen in the stars, and the Initiate's death. Lomot seemed unthreatening enough, but it was still his corpse lying several feet underground. The worst part was that it had been done by one of them, the Initiates. This wasn't exactly Araon's strong suit. He was a mercenary, not a private investigator. He was told what to hit and they would be dispatched. This was different. This would require both analyzation and tactics- both of which Araon was terrible at.
  3. Sorry, the last time I checked I didn't entirely understand the prompt. Second time I had to write an astrophysics essay, so yeah. I'll try and get some RP in later tonight. @Darkness Ascendant
  4. Ok thanks. If you get 400 words and four posts is that two Honor? (Putting RP in purple) The night grew darker, and people began to leave. Araon was glad. Aside from that one conversation with that fanatic, (Please don't take it personally, HH. It's just RP), he hadn't been approached by anyone. That let him enjoy the four-course meal he had had in silence. The meaningless chatter had never ceased throughout the entire night, but it was finally starting to ebb. He made his way through the crowd to the exit, sticking close to the walls. The guards gave him a strange look, but he wasn't hindered as he stepped through the arch. He made his way to the fabrial lift that ran through the inner structure of Urithuru. Stepping on, he took out a handful of spheres he had stolen from the lights. Oh well. He had meant to return them. Breathing in sharply, he felt the weariness from the party disappear. Though not completely drunk, his head cleared and eyesight sharpened. He had forgotten how wonderful it was. He set his hand on the fabrial gemstone and infused it with the power he had held just moments ago. Instantly, he felt it's effects. He grimaced, but it beat walking down the hundreds of flights of stairs. He spun down the chute, and was nearly jolted off his feet when it suddenly stopped. He scowled, but continued walking. As he got to his room, he immediately fell onto his bed, exhausted. But as he looked up, he could still see the highstorm he saw in the stars. Something bad will happen very, very soon, he thought. And I'm going to be stuck straight in the middle of it.
  5. @Amanuensis, do the 100-word posts have to be all one post? Like, can I do one 100-word post and then two 50-word posts and still get the Honor?
  6. "But you can't kill me, Lord Tyrant. I represent that one thing you've never been able to kill, no matter how hard you try. I am hope." Lord Ruler:
  7. Araon studied his approacher. He was earnest, no doubt, and believed in this cause. Araon had turned aside many religions, but he liked the ideas of this one. Unfortunately, he had other causes to fulfill. "I thank you for your explanation, but I have other motives that do not conform to this. Some day, I may follow this path, but it is not this day." He smiled sadly. "What can be more important than the Truth?" The man asked. Araon gave a half smile, and answered. "Revenge."
  8. Araon instinctively clenched his fists, then released them. He turned, and spoke. "Frankly, I don't see the point in them. The only reason I came here was because of the free food and that it's easy to steal from the lanterns." He held out a handful of broams as proof. "And the Truth? What's that?"
  9. Araon was worried. Give him a sword and put three bandits in front of him, fine. Put him in a cage with a whitespine, you'd learn the organ structure of the thing. But this was different. After spending years on the countryside, sleeping under trees and taking shelter from highstorms in caves, he wasn't prepared for this. He wouldn't be shunned by the court- he was an Initiate, after all- but that only meant he would have higher expectations set upon him. He had spent years of his life living alone, and the social requirements of Alethkar surprised him. He had already been approached by many people, for both talking and dancing. For the latter, apparently 'storm off and die' wasn't an acceptable answer. Due to his earlier omen, almost anything put him on edge, and he was perpetually tensed, ready for a fight. And he had a feeling, that before the night was through, there would be one. Anyone want to have a barfight by the end of this Chapter?
  10. First of all, I'm not suspicious of Bugsy. I just wanted to see a lot of one person votes. Second of all, the reason I picked him was because of this post: I remembered that HH had tagged the inactives in this post, so I just went back to this and picked a random one. As a result of skimming, I didn't read the text before and after. I apologize. Knowing people, I'm still probably gonna get lynched for this mistake but oh well. It'll just be hurting the village of you do.
