  1. @Amanuensis, how do I remove an execution vote? And if it's crossing it out, can you just take out my execution vote on sheep since I'm always on mobile and I can't do that. The beastie collapsed under the rock, but it still wasn't dead. He cautiously walked towards it, and retrieved his claymore that was still stuck in one of its claws. Handing back the shortsword to Ranatar, he moved to one of its giant claws. Using it like a woodcutters axe, he brought the sword down on the chasmfiend's joint. He thought he saw it move, and he flinched. Araon flicked the sword under the carapace and threw his weight against the hilt, sinking it deep into the creature's flesh. He was sure he felt it shudder that time, and backed away. However, at this point, the creature was almost completely incapacitated. At least that's what he hoped.
  2. It's fine, I hadn't planned on anyone specific. Araon nodded at the man, grateful for probably saving his life. He swung the sword in a few experimental strikes, and was happy with the man's choice of steel. "We need to get through the armor before the beast starts moving again," he said. Araon nodded in acknowledgement and ran to the leg he had pointed at. The shortsword was made to stab through armor, and he smiled grimly as they ran towards the creature. The chasmfiend was too preoccupied to notice them, and Araon was able to stab through a piece of chitin, causing the chasmfiend to roar in pain and instantly look in their direction. Uh oh, he thought. @randuir
  3. The beast roared as its eyes filled with red powder. As it was distracted, Araon ran to the nearest leg, and swung the claymore with considerable force. It cracked the carapace, but it hadn't hit the joint like he intended. It trumpeted again, and Araon backed away. It started flailing it's leg in his general direction, and it came dangerously close. The red powder was clearing up, and that was when Araon was really in danger. It began trying to crush him, stomping down with its foot. It almost hit him at one point, and he would be instantly killed if it did. Then he tripped. It was a simple rock, but it was enough. The beast slammed down with another leg, and Araon was just barely able to move to the side. It reared down again, and in a desperate defense, he shoved his sword into it. He rolled to the side as the beast punched its foot into the ground, with his sword poking out the bottom. It was instantly driven deep into the flesh of the chasmfiend, and it roared. Wow, that actually worked, he thought. Then, Damnation, I just lost my only weapon.
  4. Pretty good, actually. I screwed up a bit on the dynamics (like how loud or soft) but other than that it was good. Thanks for asking.
  5. "Go!" Araon grinned, and raced towards the creature. He retrieved his claymore from his back, and sucked in stormlight. The beast trumpeted in response, and Araon had a momentary twinge of panic. The thing was so much bigger than he was, and he faltered. The other man, Uther, kept running. Araon cleared his head, and continued. The beast reared its head, and the carapace rippled in response. It was really quite beautiful, but Araon would rather examine it dea than alive. The chasmfiend roared at him, and Araon skidded to a stop in front of it, just realizing how bad of an idea charging it was. He brandished his massive sword at him, but it looked tiny next to the chasmfiend. It flicked its mandibles at him, and they nearly knocked the sword from his hands. Why did I try to become a Radiant again? He thought.
  6. Araon's first thought was I didn't know Radiants threw people off cliffs. His second was this should be fun. He had taken a claymore from the armory, and he was proud of it. Anyone could steal a dagger, but finding a sword almost as tall as he was and smuggling it out was different. He could have asked for it, of course, but it was more fun this way. He also has strapped on a breastplate of boiled and studded leather, but he doubted it would be enough protection of the chasmfiend took a special liking to him. He checked if he still had the stolen spheres from the gala, and was rewarded with a ruby glow emitting from his pouch. He smiled, and peeked his head over the edge. He was unsurprisingly far up, and could just barely make out the forms of his fellow Initiates. He smiled grimly, held his arms parallel to the ground, and leaned forward. Instantly, he regretted it. The cliff face sloped forward slightly, and he tore through the sole and toe of his boots before being able to push off. He dove forward slightly, and was able to barely get his feet under him before slamming into the ground. Instantly, pain raced up his legs and he hit his head on the ground. He clenched his eyes shut and groaned, then breathed in sharply. Immediately, he felt better. He lay for a moment, his claymore uncomfortably pressing into his back. Then a face came into view, and smiled. "Welcome to the party," they said. Araon smiled, and got up. "What's the plan?" He asked. "We're going after the legs in three different groups. That sword of yours will be useful." Araon smiled at that. He had cleaved through plate mail before, a chasmfiend's joint was no different, he thought. Or rather, he hoped.
  7. Fuzzy coughed, then bent over hacking. He blinked away tears, and curled up in a ball. Please, he thought. I have been faithful. I have served you. Take me away from this place. He sniffled, but there was no response. Apparently, even the Ja had abandoned him. He began weeping. He flared his coppercloud, hoping it could hide him from the world. But they wouldn't believe him. They would kill him, and the spirit of the Ja would die in this village. There would be nothing left. No truth. No worship. The village would be an empty shell. I'm one with the Ja, the Ja is with me. I'm one with the Ja, the Ja is with me. He curled up even tighter, preparing for the end, but hoping it wouldn't come. I am sorry, he thought. I'm sorry I couldn't stay alive. I'm sorry I couldn't spread your word. And now my time has come, and with it the end of your followers. Do not hurt these people, Ja. They are misguided, but they have a good heart. Help them root out the evil that lies in there heart. Help them destroy the things that threaten their homes. Do not bring your wrath upon them. And that was how they found him, to deliver him to his execution. Curled up in a ball by the side of the road, mumbling to himself and staining his clothes with his tears.
  8. I'm not going to quit. I'm thinking about taking a break though. And I can't really defend myself, because admittedly it just comes down to trust. You don't know if I'm telling the truth. And the part that frustrates me the most is that I know that I'm innocent, but I can't do anything about it. I'm helpless, and down for the count and drowning in it.
  9. If I don't get lynched today, can the Elims kill me? I've never been killed by one, and want to try it. Why? Because I've always been lynched for acting weird, or strange, and you know what I always show up as? Villager. You guys seem intent on lynching me, and so be it. But at this point, I'm thinking I'll finish up my current games and then take a break.
  10. @Magestar, are you really following the guy who's said he's "not up for this game no more" and has barely had posts beyond five sentences?
  11. Two violins and a piano. And you're probably right, @Darkness Ascendant
  12. Thanks. Listening to Hamilton in the last five minutes calmed me down a bit, so yeah. Still nervous, but I'm a bit better.
  13. Oh. Um, right. Yeah. *More panic more panic more panic*
  14. Aggghh. Panic. Panic. Duet performance tomorrow. Panic. Playing Bach double but scared. Panic. I'm not ready I'm not ready aagghhh. Cute partner making me nervous as Kal in a chasm. More panic why can't things be simple.
  15. @Sart, thanks for reminding me. I completely forgot about cosmetic roles. Fuzzy hadn't spoken much over the past few days, but it was time. He faced the crowd, and said "Rejoice! My faith in the Ja has lapsed, but now it has returned, and stronger than ever! I have walked the path, and seen the Ja's light. Never again will I stray from it. Never again will darkness intrude upon his divine presence. Never again. Praise the Ja."
  16. "I'm sorry. But I must go." Araon was worried. Three of their group were already gone. Ashvetyl and Veriq had decided to leave, without finishing their training. In addition to the murder of Lomot, Araon was highly suspicious of both. And Commander Kaladin had told them that it had been done from the inside. Araon pursed his lips. He wasn't alone in his suspicion. Others were conspiring against Ashvetyl, and he frankly couldn't blame them. He might as well join them. Strength in numbers, as they say. He walked to the door exiting his room. Ashvetyl knew something they did not, and they needed to find out. Interrogation was a terribly slow technique, but there were certain... methods to speed it up. He smiled grimly, and retrieved his side knife before walking out.
