  1. Yeah I was mostly just saying that in response to Fifth's comment about ark's role possibly being revealed in PMs.
  2. First of all, please don’t think I don’t care about this game enough to even vote.:P Timezone shenanigans happened...I thought the turn would last an hour longer than it did. Google tells me 8:30 PM CDT is 5:30 AM my time, so I thought I’d get a little sleep and wake up about an hour before rollover to check the lynch status and vote. But I got up at quarter to 5 and...the thread was closed. Apparently 8:30 CDT is 4:30 AM...Don’t know why google decided to mislead me.:( If I were on on time I probs would’ve voted for Drake. Not quite cuz I found him suspicious but because it would’ve given us more info than an ark lynch. (Because Drake had posted more posts of substance than ark had, so we’d have had more to go off from after the flip). And while it’s super unfortunate that we lost a village Mistborn, I think I’m gonna soft clear Drake now. I don’t think the elims would have just sat back and watched the RNG decide whether elim!drake got lynched. And if they did somehow get info about Ark’s role through PMs, I’d expect there to be at least three votes on ark. But again, if we’re dealing with village!drake then the elims probably wouldn’t have cared which one of the two got lynched D1 (since they could’ve just Nk’d ark) and thus left it at the tie. This is assuming they knew about ark’s role, of course. also Fura’s post from last cycle makes me a little suspicious: Sounds very neutral, and like something an elim would say to escape suspicion, I think.
  3. Here’s a vote count but because I did it, there’s no guarantees on the accuracy. Refer to this at your own risk. Walin(1): Ark Ark(2): Ventyl, Drake Devotary(1): Sart Drake(2): Araris, Fifth *Ninjad by fifth* I’ve added your vote Ark and Drake are currently tied and up for the lynch. And iirc ties end up with an RNG deciding who dies. ...I forgot where I was going with this. Anyway, 4 out of the 6 votes above are gut reads xD ninjad by Fura too. And yes, I agree with what you say about ventyl
  4. I've said this before in a recent game but I'm gonna repeat it cuz why not: Poke votes, at least in my opinion, are intended to act as disincentives to inactivity. Not the kind where a player just doesn't get online, but the kind where they just don't participate in thread discussions. If you're a villager, you'll care enough to respond with a substantial post so that your two cents provide at least something for the thread to get a read on you. For what it's worth, I haven't completely dropped it Not enough suspicion to warrant a vote, but I'm staying wary of Rath. Oh how I love IKYKs Ah, makes sense.
  5. I love this! What does the t in front of Sart’s name stand for though?
  6. GG. Between the other on-going games and me being the first lynch, I couldn't really follow the game as closely as I would've liked to after my death. But good job village! also the elims for coming super close. @Steeldancer Thanks for running the game. You'll be missed. I mainly joined this game cuz it's your last time GMing I should probably still read skyward though.
  7. Well, the rules were obviously put out before the exact number of players could be determined. So... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ what do you mean? While I think it's sometimes fine to have a no-lynch in QFs and stuff where the games move quicker, I think they're actually quite helpful in LGs. Especially in hindsight in the later stages of the game. I tend not to use many emojis on the Shard because it changes the /:Ps to that overly joyous weird smiley thing. I've seen some people try and cheat that by using alternatives such as =P (joe) and : P (Fura), but even those don't come close to the power of a normal /:P (ignoring the slash). So instead, I only use /:Ps at the end of sentences so that it kinda merges with the full-stop like this.:P I do sometimes also use but to me it has a different meaning than /:P does. /:P makes stuff sound a little less serious and lighthearted (so I tend to use it a lot on discord/docs) whereas is more like "HAHAH NICE" I hope you understand. nvm my question above From what you're suggesting, we're likely to get a lynch anyway. Just not a very solid one. Which...might be useful now that I think about it. If the votes are close enough and the elims have vote manip they might feel the need to use it to prevent a teammate from getting lynched. D1 they probably don't know any anybody's roles aside from their own, so it's not like they'd prefer to lynch one villager over another. So if they use it at all, we can probably infer that it was done to save a teammate. But then again, now that I've mentioned it this can turn into an IKYK. Whatever. XD *Takes note. Just cuz you generally get a good idea of who you can trust as the game progresses.:P Nice. I will probably cast a vote soon, but for now I'll just note that this Fifth and Aman interaction seems interesting. My gut says it's almost certainly not a w/w interaction. Probably town/town, w/t or t/w.
  8. hm didn't think of it that way what? xD I know nothing about LG54. I was referring to the last LG. Your game. Regardless, I believe you. Maybe, but not in the early cycles.
  9. Didn't see this post before for some reason >> Okay, that makes a lot of sense. Also, as a side note, I'd advise everybody not to easily role claim to people in PMs because worryingly enough, a lot of the villagers were very open with their roles in PMs in the last LG.
  10. or maybe just sit back and watch their team kill off villagers and then reveal the whole team covertly to the remaining villagers through PMs, while somehow sounding village.
  11. Hello peeps, I am here. Sorry for not posting sooner xD So I was rereading the rules an found something MAJOR (cuz I missed it last time I read the rules): I don't know whether I'm interpreting this right, but it is trying to say that the kandra can be among the elim team?:P That'll be super convenient. If we manage to lynch this elim, we'll effectively shoot down two birds with one stone. The kandra could just be among the villagers. Also, while I'm on the subject of Kandra, @StrikerEZ the rules don't say what ability the kandra has. It an ability from the mentioned roles or is it a secret ability?Anyway. With that pointed out, I'll now read the thread. Yeah I'm assuming that the Kandra would have a kill. I forgot about this. Was totally planning to like PM 10 people one-on-one tonight xD Thanks She's saying that she suspects the Misborn to be a villager. But it does seem odd that in the next sentence she proceeds to advise us on how to effectively lynch the mistborn Interested see how Devotary responds. why?
  12. It wasn’t the Kandra, Maill got the tineye ability that cycle and voted for you. Lol. Ah, Les Mis. That game was wonderful. I see what you’re talking about.
  13. So that lynch worked out well Good job, village. I knew you were going to pull off the win.:P Also, @Furamirionind you’re really good at distancing.:P you had me fooled for the better part of the game. Thanks for running the game, Fifth! For putting up with my frequent last minute action changes and the many last minute votes xD And all the writeups were brilliant, Joe. @Mailliw73 You were great to work with! We didn’t win but we came pretty close a number of times I greatly enjoyed playing/specing from the grave.
  14. Signing up as Stick.:D Finals start soon, so while I’ll try my best to not die to the inactivity filter, I won’t be at my highest activity levels. :[ Question - are group PMs allowed? Oh, and if you have two posts in the day but only one at night, does - wait I see that this has already been asked and answered. Such similar minds.
  15. Fun fact: I think I’m one of the few (if not the only) players who’ve been around for nearly 3 years but have never GM’d/co-GM’d a game. XD
  16. Lol they can grant the other half of the Allomantic powers to a max of three people edit: they used it on Devotary but since Conrad has both Lurcher abilities it wasn’t effective
  17. Barely having survived the day, Astick approached the man - Ford - who had tried everything in his power to kill him. As Astick drew nearer though, he found that Ford had a particularly pensive look on his face...almost as if he were reminiscing about how at just 200 years old, he had contributed greatly to the book he was researching for, had discovered gods still unknown to the universe, and had learned to harness the power of words. Weird man. Then, Ford made his move. He grabbed a nearby cinderblock and - ah. That trick won’t work on Astick any longer. Even so, as Astick approached the block, he couldn’t help but fear the immense power its kind had had over Astick in the past few weeks. He had to remind himself that the whole of Luthadel now knew of his true identity - Zane did not trip over things. So he walked around it. What? Why couldn’t Ford just accept Astick’s willingness to help him and the rest of Elend’s loyalists? What’s this talk about quills? Astick didn’t let his confusion show, though. Maybe he could use this. “Ah, yes,” Astick called back, “I indeed got you stripped of your greatest weapon - the mighty quills!” “I will, however,” he continued, “return them safely to you if you agree to put our differences aside for a minute and just let me kill one of Lekal’s men tonight. It would be most preferable if you didn’t use your Zinc to mess with my head.” ————————- Ooooo fun oh no my secrets
