  1. Smh I must never again underestimate the persistence of scam result gambits I've sent this to Kas in a previous game but it needs to be reiterated: Actually, for a very very short period of time I wondered if Penguin was you, but it quickly became clear that it was Mat. I also noticed Penguin commenting on how they think Swan 'sounds' like him and that was kind of a dead giveaway because AG8 edit: Also, I updated my anon account's guestbook shortly before this thread was up but @Experience if you wish to add anything I can edit it in on your behalf
  2. Thanks Kas (and kel) for running the game despite dealing with RL problems and going the extra mile with the writeups, hope things get better! :[ My game-related thoughts are mostly in the Amber Vulture doc I'm pretty sure. Yeahh I don't know I think it was more paranoia for me than your role. The role was probably the cherry on top but what I kept going back to your use of the word 'might have wanted to protect myself from vote manip' from our PM when I inquired about you being smoked C1. The uncertain language there made me suspect you to be kandra who wasn't actually entirely sure about C1!Swan's thought process. Your C1 was great for a potential kandra target so that only reinforced my paranoia. I know the logic there isn't short of stupid but it got me in the heat of the moment Plus Mat's desperation sort of coming off as village in our PM also kind of put me in a position where I confined myself to voting either you or him. I also had to make the decision quickly as I was out for dinner at the time plus I had to put my Soothe order in in accordance with my vote. In terms of ID reads I think I got most of them. The ones I PM'd Kas about included: illwei, Araris, Wilson, Mat, JNV, Tani, Drake, (edit: and I identified Bort in my doc). The ones I didn't voice but highly suspected were: Devotary and Experience
  3. It did unfortunately cost us the D2 exe (sorry again Striker). I was just so hung up on the possibility of a bus…Reading too much into Araris’ posts wasnt such a great plan there. He only ever interacted with villagers sadge.
  4. Tbh it was super sad that only three people voted to use it D1 xD I maintain that bussing a teammate D1 would’ve been the best elim play when it came to the Fang. They kind of did do that with Orlok’s retraction… Nah you didn’t blow it I take credit for sussing TUN hard before I died. But I think the village on a whole did not do a terrible job we did correctly identify all elims at various points even if we decided not to pursue our all suspicions. Thank you GM/IM for the game and thank you Kas for creating Stieg May all your games be a lesson to us about falsely assuming that there exist unspoken distribution rules and norms. And well played elims! I love how close the game was even in the very end It was fun PMing all three of you (Araris died too early rip) and I enjoyed my PMs with the village too.
  5. If Bort flips V I'm down to exe Aman next >:) edit: I should probably explain why. Mat brought it up to me in PMs and I think it's a decent point that could potentially explain the enigma that is the Archer kill. We know that Archer was up for the exe right until the literal last two minutes of the exe. If we are to believe that Bort has lightening fast reflexes and was able to change the NK to Archer in the span of a minute, then we're golden. Except, that's a little crazy cuz I mean...hate to admit it but I was ready with a red, bolded, Orlok vote to post at 8:59 pm if the Striker exe didn't take off. And yes, I clicked 'Submit' but it just kept loading and then the Archer and Orlok votes loaded for me and I refreshed the page and found that the thread was locked and my post hadn't gone through (thankfully lol that would've been awkward) and TJ's post appeared. Point is, if I couldn't post one word in that one minute, it's possible Bort didn't submit the kill last minute. In which case, the kill could be explained if we consider the possibility of someone submitting the kill early on in the cycle and not being online for the rest of the turn. This can only really be Aman or TUN. That said, I think there's enough points against Bort to justify this exe so I suppose my vote stays there today, but if Bort flips V my vote goes on Aman
  6. VC: Bort(4): Orlok, Thaid, Mat, Stick Orlok(2): Aman, Bort Mat(1): TJ TJ(1): Xino @JNV you put both Bort and Orlok in your lowest tier of reads - wanna vote? We've got everyone's vote but yours and TUN's
  7. Erm…yeah. But I think that if there’s one elim between Orlok and Bort, then it’s probably expected for the elims to place both of them in the bottom tier because 1. They can easily sheep their vote on whichever one is villager and 2. If your reads lists are identical to the majority of the thread’s, the lesser chance of somebody asking you to explain the reasoning behind these reads - you blend in well. But it is odd. Orlok Bort edit: I'm 90% sure now, the remaining elims have to be Bort/TUN, and if there's a fourth, it's TJ.
  8. ofc <3 Bort Orlok afkjaddvnafsjd inb4 orlok/bort v/v and mat is E edit: Also I'm moving JNV to my village reads - they give off good vibes in our PM
  9. Orlok was not in the trust PM Archer told him about the vote switching plan in one-to-one PMs edit: @Thaidakar the Ghostblood what are your thoughts on the current exe? edit2: Orlok Bort @Kasimir
  10. To be honest I’ve had in my village reads for some time now but obviously some paranoia has been creeping in. Cuz I was just thinking…if Striker and Archer were both villagers, who the heck did Araris distance from C1?? He poke voted Mat in the beginning but why did he switch?? It’s not like Mat was ever in any danger. So e!Araris ideally shouldve kept his vote on e!Mat, I think? Is it possible that Araris just simply did not think to distance from any teammates C1 because he didn’t think he was dying that cycle? It’s possible. Also TJ smh you were sussing Orlok in our PM last cycle but now you’re backing out? Is it because of the NK choice solely? This doesn’t make much sense cuz why would e!me want to kill Archer?? Archer trusted me enough to put me in a trust group PM. E!Me wouldve exploited that and pocketed Archer further. @JNV you asked why I’m reading Xino village. (The quotes aren’t working anymore for some reason.) It’s because their posts C1 read very village to me and also the way they jumped from heavily suspecting+voting me to voting alongside me started to seem village to me. Initially I elim-read that move but I don’t see what motives e!Xino would have to do that.
  11. I can't make much sense of the Archer kill, but Archer had created a group PM last cycle with myself, Mat, and JNV in it, to coordinate votes. About half an hour before rollover, Archer revealed that he'd be switching his vote to Striker, and that Orlok will follow. This explains their close votes at EoD, seconds away from each other. Apart from people in the group PM, Orlok is presumably the only one who knew Archer would be changing his vote, and so he knew Archer won't be getting exe'd. I don't think JNV was online to check the PMs before turn ended.
  12. Did Archer ever publicly say he trusted JNV though? I don't think JNV has ever been an elim yes? I don't really know what I should be looking for in their playstyle
  13. Okay new reads I guess Village: Thaid, xino, Mat IDK: TUN, Aman Elim: Bort, TJ, Orlok, JNV Can anybody give me a reason why they're reading JNV as village?
  14. oops sorry striker Archer is a very weird kill. He was up for the exe until the very end of the cycle - up until he and Orlok switched votes to TJ. This means an elim had to have been online during the last two minutes of the turn in order to have submitted this kill. edit: switched votes to Striker** ^
  15. oh yeah adjskld but tbh as long as Striker is in the exe somewhere, I wouldnt terribly mind this three-way tie. Because like I've said before, I suspect Archer and TJ too.
  16. yep, here's that post - it's not LITERALLY last minute since there was over an hour left of the cycle still but you know what I mean xD But anyway let's not get side tracked - we can get back to this conversation later cuz right now I think we should probably do something about those tied votes mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm well it's possible I'm just being ultra-paranoid at the moment. But also, your vote is on Bort at the moment (and the only one there) - would you consider moving to Striker so that we can secure an exe?
  17. thank youu no, rollover is in approximately 1.5 hours from now Some unorganised thoughts: Archer/TJ not E/E Striker/Orlok potentially E/E (Orlok has questioned Striker and sussed him a bit in his analysis but his vote is elsewhere) Striker/Archer potentially E/E I can see what you mean - and I think I mostly agree with it. The problem is, Orlok retracted his vote at a suspicious time. Like, Araris had already accumulated four votes by then, and rollover was in about 1 hour and 20 minutes. So I can see his retraction being a last-minute decision. Also, I should mention why I think Orlok retracted his vote in the first place - he picked up on my not-so-subtle hints in-thread claiming to be an Elder. He PM'd me about it and I confirmed it. But you have to ask - why did he believe it? It makes sense for e!Orlok to unvote me then and gain my trust, because keeping a village elder alive does not harm the elim team in any way, given that one of their own was an Elder.
