  1. I wasn’t talking about the exe I meant the freelance kill, statistically. Yeah, that was my line of thought more or less. I’m not putting too much stock into it, so it’s only a slight village lean. Additionally, Steel’s post recent post reminds me of LG83!Steel. What’s your current read on Steel? TUN never really claimed roleless so curious how you got that, plus this game is role madness so all roles are important roles. Also this entire paragraph reads entirely noncommittal to me. Like “this person did this suspicious thing but also not”. I’m starting to see a pattern in my JNV reads lately Nevertheless JNV do you have some actual reads? A vote? I also don’t fully understand why people are village reading TUN - what I’m struggling to see is the purpose of a villager posing that question to the thread. Claiming roleless is the same as claiming a role because it narrows down the pool, like people have pointed out. I guess I can buy that they didn’t know the game was rolemadness (I was unsure too, though the way Fifth’s game advert on discord was phrased did imply role madness so I asked Kas to confirm).
  2. The elims I think will definitely go for the kill right? Since it’s essentially a free, anonymous kill. So some of us have to also go for the kill to lower their chances of getting it. Except we’re more likely to hit a villager anyway especially on C1 so it’s probably a lose/lose for us but we can pray to RNGesus Mild village reading Steel for rules but…it’s been too long since I’ve played with E!Steel so some caution ig
  3. I’m pretty sure you can be a Feruchemist and a Synod member simultaneously Hm I’ll admit this is a decent point, but my GM PM told me stuff about my role so it’s possible that Steel just went off the info in his GM PM?
  4. What do you mean? This feels like something an elim should ask their teammates xD I would say that as a rule of thumb, claiming early-game is bad. But this question just feels kinda like…forced contribution(?) The Unknown Novel Trying to work out whether I feel like Striker/Mat E/E based on that interaction.
  5. Was there anything in particular that you were looking for in Archer's reaction to your vote? He agreed with your comment about JNV sounding tonally off and even cited your PM conversation. Not to mention he voted for JNV shortly after, too. If you suspected JNV/Archer to be E/E (with the initial assessment being that Archer's one-on-one PM conversation with you regarding JNV was distancing), then shouldn't his JNV vote have made you lean village on him? And if your line-of-thought was more of JNV/Archer being V/E with Archer seeding suspicion against JNV in PMs during N0 in hopes of a JNV misexe, why didn't you explain this theory during D1 when votes were still shifting? Let's see about that
  6. I don’t believe Field Exterminators offer protection from the NK though? From what I understand, they only protect against Skyeel attacks, no?
  7. Okay, reread done. The NK choice was bugging me just a little bit because it helps the village avoid a likely misexe, but having read through D1 again, it might be because lots of people were village-reading Archer for the PM mess-up, and the new rule clarification regarding the vote manip makes it less likely for us to suspect Archer for that solely. This indicates to me that the elims were aware of this facet of the vote manip already - leaning slight village on Mat for this reason. Something else that stood out to me during the reread is this part of Archer's post: This could possibly explain the NK, too (assuming E!Striker and/or E!JNV and/or E!Devo). While he voted for JNV in this post, Archer's vote landed on Striker in the end. It could be argued that this would be too blatant a kill for E!Striker or E!JNV to make, but it's a semi-plausible kill from E!Devo because it's not as obvious, comparatively. Village: Emu Mild Village: Mat, ash's_eyes Null: Liranil (although umm it's not really completely null. It's mild elim, but...even milder. Though I almost put them under 'Elim'.) Mild Elim: illwei, Devo, Bort Elim: Striker, JNV Final D1 Vote Count (village reads in blue): I'm willing to bet there's at least one elim among the xino voters, and at least one among the Archer voters. Random, but this part of Liranil's post from D1 indicates that Liranil/JNV probably aren't E/E. Though overall, that post reads a bit too hedgy to me. Too uncertain, tone-wise - but I cannot comment on whether that's in-line with their playstyle. I'm happy throwing my vote onto the Striker train.
  8. Oh. This changes things. I think the google doc containing the rules might not be updated on this ruling because I’m pretty sure it states that the Politician’s own vote will be doubled unless they target a player. I do not think the vote manip is odd anymore.
  9. Grr no cuz no one’s active when I’m awake so my only option is to resort to posting at times like now (2 am, for context). This doesn’t work well with PMs because the conversation gets cut short and roll over happens before I can reply
  10. Yeah no the 24 hr turns this game aren’t exceptionally compatible with my timezone in the slightest. I don’t think I was able to send anybody more than 2 PMs last turn :(. And yeah I outright accused both Liranil and Bort of the vote manip (and I think I brought it up w Devo but didn’t press it or ask direct questions) - I thought the use of the vote manip was an odd choice from either alignment because if it was done to protect an elim teammate, the votes were close enough for one of them to simply switch their votes without garnering much suspicion. And it being done by a villager seemed equally odd because it was D1 and it’s strange for a villager to form an opinion so strong on a player (Archer) that they’d risk outing their role to the elims in order to ensure Archer doesn’t get exe’d. The kill choice also makes little sense to me.
  11. Are the two of you implying JNV/Xino E/E? Xino is sus due to association, yes? @Liranil do you think your suspicion on Xino will stand if JNV is to flip village? Or is your stance more like “e!Xino defending v!JNV for village cred post-JNV flip”?
  12. interesting Yeah idk about Mat. Bad gut read. And I’ve recently realised I just cannot get a read off Striker. Ever. I feel like I’m always mislynching him so I don’t think I’ll move my vote there but I don’t see any reason to actively prevent that lynch from happening either. The only actual reads I’ve got right now are mild village on Archer, and somewhat mild village on Emu.
  13. I think using codes to communicate is probably not permitted as per the default SE rules? @The Unknown Novel? It's easy enough to fake From what I understand, they can choose to target one player during night turns (i.e. 'visiting' them). If a Skyeel attacks this target or the field exterminator themself, the attack fails. Õ_Õ Not sure what to make of this statement I'm glad you're voting! But could you maybe elaborate on it? What makes JNV seem suspicious to you? What are your thoughts on Archer? He's got the highest number of votes at the moment. Vote Count (maybe accurate): Devo(1): Archer Archer(3): JNV, EmuStro, Striker ash's_eyes(1): Mat JNV(3): Stick, Liranil, ash's_eyes Striker(1): illwei
  14. Also Mat/JNV E/E possible Edit: They could definitely make risky moves - I just don’t think they’ll make spontaneous risky moves as they won’t have a way to talk it over with each other.
  15. Why can’t elims get away with the same? All their planning would have to take place during the night, so they won’t be able to make any spontaneous moves that are risky during the day time. Perhaps we should be looking at reactions to certain players being put under pressure.
  16. Um okay I got ninjad by three people but I edited my previous post everyone look at it
  17. I know Archer just admitted to have made them with everyone but I’m assuming each individual only received one group PM (grouped based on their positions in the player list) so I find it strange that you phrase it like that. “A ton of PMs”. Almost seems like you were aware of his strategy already. Did you and Archer discuss this in PMs or is this TMI from a doc? JNV Edit: To be clear, I’m village-reading Archer at the moment. What I’m getting at is that e!JNV would’ve known everyone received the group PMs since the elims likely talked about them in their doc.
  18. So how many people did Archer accidentally start group PMs with
  19. Hey I actually only realised pretty late that PMs were night-only and so I'm afraid I couldn't make the most of them. I only got one and a half PM. Stay tuned for the next night turn though cuz everyone'll be receiving one from me
  20. I think I played this four years ago ( ͡ᵔ ͡ᵔ ͜ʖ ͡ᵔ ͡ᵔ) The rules can't have changed that much, right? Right? I promise I'll read them. In as Stick.
  21. You scanned me C2 didn't you? I don't know if I was smoked, but I was definitely village at that stage I only changed alignments starting D4.
