  1. I will join as Tommy, Son of Gun! He is a quick talker and even quicker witted, when you can understand him!
  2. Who do think is Elim on the Shqueeves train? I don't think it would be Wizard or Kas. I could see it being Mat or Shining though.
  3. I'm not sure that I like the fact that the votes seem to have stabilized, especially D2. If Stick is elim then either she is cutting herself off from her team to avoid further hurting the team, or she doesn't have a teammate. I mean, the teammate would try to save her somehow, right? She is sitting at 3 (JNV+) and Shqueeves (Shining+) is next at 2 votes. JNV's vote on Stick sits wrong in my stomach as well... grumble. Stick didn't even vote on one of the many trains going on... Either the elims are happy with the way the current votes have gone down or they are too afraid to make any overt moves... @The Wandering Wizard What do you think? @Illwei You seem to be in a rather explainy mood this cycle. I'm not saying I dislike it, it just seems, weird. Why all the sudden explanations? You're not the first to mention it. I think I'm enjoying D2 more than I did N1 though, so I'm gonna keep going like this for now. P.S. I also don't know how I feel about everyone targeting the inactives. It makes it easy to explain the seeming lack of thread control, but there is no way that the whole team is inactive, right?
  4. I forgot to reply to this. I wouldn't say that I am super convinced, we are only on D2 of an LG, but I am convinced enough to change it tentatively. Ah, yes. that makes sense. Also, since I jumped back in, Devo has been the elim for two of my games and the last game had a single elim with a single convert action. I don't think that is a good judge of what the current meta is. (Devo is random is what I'm getting at.) That's fair, it could be confbiasing, but how come that didn't come up because of any of my N1 posts? Why bring that up now? (Where I was confbiasing a little bit)
  5. MR59 you say that it has been a trend for elims to break ties early. Yes, but with both stick and xino having votes on them so early in the cycle, the attempt would be to dilute the pool even more with a under the radar vote. If you can attempt to pull the vote pool away from yourself and your teammate, why not? I admit that "a lot of pressure" was a bit of an exaggeration. The point is that you were sitting at the top of people who could've been lynched for almost the whole of D1. I would call that pressure. Also, you never did vote for wiz.... (Did you tell xino to vote for wiz? ) Did you mean Araris??? He was your only vote last cycle. Araris had his vote on you for most of the cycle and it only changed twice.
  6. Uhhh, what is it about me that feels slimy? Hmmmm. I feel like my play style tends to rub people the wrong way. I just feel like I need to explain myself (normal for me even before playing SE) and I like looking into possibilities. I did feel like it was helpful for the village, but I'm getting the feeling it isn't. Okay, I appreciate the feedback, I'm going to try and change my playstyle by being more... concise? That seems like a good idea. Why didn't the elims help Xino out more??? I have come up with two possibilities. One is that multiple elims were on the chopping block and so they were all just trying to self save and so couldn't worry about another teammate who was up for the exe. The second possibility is that the team is made up of mostly less active posters. In fact these two possibilities could easily coincide. Votes D1 with rollover times... Mat... Stick fits the "Why not save Xino" world. Stick experiences a lot of pressure early on in the cycle with Araris being their main antagonist. Xino comes in and makes wizard take the lead in the votes, but then Araris changes his vote to stick. Stick retaliate votes on Araris and then stays there. Why didn't Stick join the Wizard wagon if they were worried about being killed? Perhaps they didn't want to vote with a teammate. Stick's last post was at 10 hours to rollover. The kill would also make sense since Stick was consistently voted on by Araris right up until an hour before rollover. The wagon on Xino happened so smoothly because there wasn't an elim except Xino on at EoD. Given this new and more compelling argument, along with all the others given, I have to say that Mat looks not elim. I'll put you in neutral for now Mat, sorry I targeted you so hard during the night. Someone had to point it out, but definitely not as much as I had! Also, other elims? (Shqueeves, Turtle, Illwei, and a small possibility of Symphonian???)
  7. I agree there are plenty of holes in Mat being elim, but to be fair, if there weren't any holes that would be more concerning. It's also why Iam trying to gather more information from people so I can see if there is a better lead. Speaking of which, if I was going to change my vote to someone right now,it would be to Silho. My problem with them though is that he seems pretty genuine this cycle and he isn't making any real attempts to save himself. An elim is going to be hyper focused on survival and fitting in right now because of the loss of a teammate. I couldn't see any better options based off of the wagons that were happening at the time. I wasn't sold on TUN, but I wasn't sold on anyone else either. I was neutral about Stick and I'm still neutral about her. She just hasn't done a whole lot that sticks out to me. Although, I did like her call out on Shining this cycle. That's fair, but it mostly comes back down to two or three things and I really don't want to go on the merry go round argument. I never said that it doesn't and I've agreed with you on some points. That doesn't mean that my own points go away, however. I'm trying to go down other paths this cycle to see if there is someone more likely to be an elim. I know that you don't like votes on you, but I'm going to vote where my suspicions are. That being said, the amount of people that are saying they v lean you somewhat does make me pause. Still, I don't see a better option currently. If you don't like my vote, go and find someone else who would be a better exe! Just because I think you're a good exe right now doesn't mean it will stay that way. Edit: @The Unknown Novel Yes. Illwei had voted for you first and that's the vote you quoted and sighed at. I tied you with Mat with each of you having two votes. Ouch, but fair. I think people that I'm not directly targeting are pretty much just ignoring me...
  8. @Kasimir Oh! I don't want to kill you, I was just trying to get your point of view on Mat so I could diversify my view on him. I've already said I'm v reading you. I get that life can get busy, don't worry about that, I was just wondering if there was an in game reason for the vote staying on until EoD. @Matrim's Dice I could argue, but that would just be a waste of time. I've already detailed, quite well, why I am voting for you. To make sure that I don't tinfoil on you, I am trying to get some other reads. Of course, if I feel like you do something elimmy in the future, I'm not going to hesitate to point it out. Until I find someone I E lean more though, I'm leaving my vote on you. Hmmmmm, now that is an interesting catch! I'm excited to see where that leads. It does seem strange that Shining implied they would immediately get exed for switching off of Xino. Although, it could be a hindsight thing, so I would like to hear a response from them.
  9. Mat. Man, they chose the worst person possible. I mean, Araris makes sense since most people vil read them, but I wish they chose someone else so I could get some new info. @The Unknown Novel What do you think of what happened D1? You showed up and disappeared just as quickly. Also, why did you have no concern for the votes that were on you during the first part of day? @Kasimir You had your vote on Mat based off of his attack on you. Is there a particular reason that you left your vote on him until the EoD? What's your read on people now? @_Stick_ I honestly don't know what to think about you, so hearing about your current reads would be nice. @The Wandering Wizard You made a self preservation vote last cycle, but I feel like you didn't do much else. Are you e leaning anyone currently and why? @Shqueeves I don't know what to think about you either... Why didn't you have a vote in at the end of cycle and what are your thoughts on Illwei and Mat e leaning you at the EoD last cycle? @JNV Why did you end up voting for Stick out of everyone?
  10. Agree to disagree. One thing I think we can agree on is that I am probably tinfoiling... it's the best thing I've got going on right now though. I wasn't able to find anything else that really sticks out to me from D1. Like you said yourself, there wasn't a lot going on at the time. I'll be honest, I know it's a pretty out their theory and I could get more into it, but I've detailed it quite a bit already and so I'll be questioning you and Illwei in the coming cycles. I will be conducting other investigations, however.
  11. Well, this was an edit to my above post, but thankfully Mat posted so I can separate them! Huzzzah!!! That's what has been driving me bonkers... Illwei! I would quote her where I think she is acting sus, but I'll just link the posts so that this post won't be massive. @Illwei Here Illwei votes for TUN for absolutely no reason, but TUN has voted for Mat. Araris votes for Mat several hours later. Here Illwei votes for Araris immediately after TUN unvotes Mat. (It was exactly 23 minutes between the posts, but there are no other posts between.) I would also like to hear her reasoning for why TUN and Mat are never on the same team. It was such a random thing to say. Kas votes for Mat the next day on page two. (This is important for later.) Here Illwei posts something about TUN now leaning Elim because of Araris. In fact she takes back thinking that TUN was village and states that: (Sorry, I had to quote that part!) Were you leaning Elim on Mat then? That's how I read this. If they were unaligned in your mind and TUN was vil, at least at the time, then you would've thought that Mat was elim, right? Of course, I could be misunderstanding your statement here, so please correct me if I am. Illwei then moves to voting on Mat from Araris and this is to create distance in my mind. (It makes more sense in a second!) Here Illwei unvotes Mat an hour after she had voted him because he posted about his current reads. Hence the distancing thing, there was no sting behind the vote. Also, in that post by Mat, he puts Illwei at the top for "vibe" and while I don't discourage reading someone's vibe, putting them at the top of your list because of that reason is pretty strong. Here Illwei states that she could be moved to Kas or Shqueeves after Araris's vote change to Xino, putting him in the lead. Then, two posts later, after my vote change to Xino, Illwei posts about her reads with Mat and TUN on the top and Kas, Xino, and Shqueeves at the bottom. She also votes for Shqueeves in this same post. Mat then posts seconds later with a vote on Kas. Illwei responds to Mat by saying that she doesn't want to kill Kas because of a lack of interaction between Kas and her. She then edits and says that the same should probably apply to shqueeves. Xino votes for Mat then edits the post to vote for Kas, perhaps thinking that his teammates will save him by voting for Kas and getting some last minute voters to join as well. When that doesn't happen, Mat and Illwei switch over to Xino. All I'm saying is that I'm seeing a lot of strange interactions between Mat and Illwei. My proposed team is Xino, Mat, and Illwei. I am very open to changing my mind as new evidence comes up, however. I've already stated that I believe it was a distancing tactic which would make sense if your e/e. Why would Xino and you voting for Kas put you on a team with him? That seems a little forced. Although, I do admit that there wasn't a lot of time between all of the posts. That could be due to an inability to communicate with the each other in the doc as you are trying to cover up the mess that happened at the EoD and stepping on each other's toes with your posts. That's fair! xD I wouldn't have minded you pleading the fifth on that one... that is if the constitution works on Scadrial... Again, super forced. You are only evil with Kas? I just don't see it that way. It's fair that you probably would've gotten off sooner, but Araris didn't vote change from Stick to Araris until an hour before rollover. Not giving you a lot of time to react and try to switch the wagon. Edit: I completely forgot to mention Illwei's plan to keep Mat alive as long as possible as she has stated today. That is more of a stretch though because that ties them together pretty strongly. Still, I could see Illwei getting out of it if she wanted to.
  12. I was running under the worst case scenario assumption that Xino himself could vote manip. If that was the case, Xino could move one of the people that were voting on him onto Kas and the votes would've tied. In that sense, I stopped the vote manipulation. Of course, now we know that Xino couldn't do that, but we didn't know what his role was at the time. Also, I wouldn't say that is necessarily true. Yes, Mat voted on Xino and thus brought him up to two votes, but you were in the lead with 3 at the time and even after everyone got off of you, Xino was tied with Stick until you moved onto Xino yourself. I don't see how Xino voting for you first clears you. Perhaps I'm missing something. Illwei had already changed her vote to Shqueeves and so if Xino's vote was an attempt to save himself, then it wasn't a very good one. I will admit that it could've been an attempt to put dirt on Mat by Xino, but I'm still leaning towards it being a distancing vote attempt. Mat, you never really voted along side Xino. It was Xino who voted alongside you. You voted Wizard and when Xino jumped in, he voted wizard, which is where his vote stayed until he changed it to Mat/Kas. I wouldn't say at all that you outed yourself, but I think that it's not a stretch to say that a member of your team who can't be on as much might follow at least your first vote and then later follow your vote in an attempt to save themselves. Xino also claimed to be stuck to mobile and for me that would have him follow you at least a bit. Why do you think your EoD vote on Kas looks funny? Also, do you still think that Kas is elim? I also think that it's really funny that you and Kas were so against each other. I'm actually rather curious about that as well... I've been looking through the D1 posts and can't seem to pull anything else out... I'll keep looking though because I feel like I'm missing something.
  13. I'd first like to point out that I never made a defense for Xino at any point last cycle, although I guess you could argue that by the time I got on it might've been too late to try and save them. Yes, my vote could've been a distancing attempt, but if it was, it was a terrible one. Also, the reason I voted (and stated so in my vote post) was because of vote manipulation. My vote was the one that cancelled out the opportunity for Xino to be able to save himself and so a teammate would have to stick out their neck to try and save him. Also, the craziness in the last QF had me a bit concerned about what might happen after I got off, so I was attempting stabilization. Also, Mat????????? (Before Mat Votes, the vote count) The new vote count after Araris and I vote on Xino but before Mat changes his vote: xinoehp512 (4): Shining Silhouette, Mat, Araris, Conq Araris Valerian (1): _Stick_ The Wandering Wizard (1): xinoehp512 Matrim's Dice (1): Kasimir _Stick_ (1): JNV Shqueeves (1): Illwei If anyone made an attempt to try and save Xino, it was Mat. He voted on Xino when t looked like Araris was pretty well into the lead. It could've been a distancing vote for the future or whatever. The part that is most concerning, at least for me, is that Mat changed his vote from Xino to Kas, but then before the day ended, jumped back onto Xino, like he was trying to save face. I also find it extremely interesting that both Mat and Xino had their votes on Kas at the very EoD. Not only that, but apparently Xino first voted for Mat, but then very quickly edited his post to vote for Kas, like he was trying to distance Mat and himself, but then saw that Mat was voting for Kas and thought he might've been able to save himself. It's quite possible that mat has the blessing that let's you vote manip and so at that point, he would've been able to tie the two trains. Mat then would've decided, a smart decision, that outing himself that much wouldn't have been worth saving Xino for the extra kill. Now, I know that this argument runs under a bunch of assumptions, but I believe that the underlying idea of Mat's vote changing is condemning enough for me to want to lynch him next cycle. I'll be hard pressed to move off of this. From the Xino train, I think it's safe to clear Araris as he was the one that really brought the train into prominence and wasn't in any danger and so didn't need to. Because of who the confirmed elim and my strong elim read voted for as a counter wagon, I'm strongly V leaning Kas. I spent a bunch of time trying to read into the Araris votes, but that seems to be a dead end, Stick gets called out by Xino mid cycle and I'm leaning neutral on her. Illwei is v leaning in my book. Finally, Wizard voted on Araris for self preservation. I do have to say that TUN not coming back yesterday does make them more neutral in my book since they would've had multiple teammates on the line. Anyways, I'm going to look further into last cycle, but essentially Mat is elim and Araris and Kas are vil. P.S. Apparently Xino and Mat were on Wizard at the same time too! Ashbringer's vote count post here.
  14. I agree except maybe there are two others, one being the blessing that detects other blessings and the other being the blessing that protects from kills. I think it is safe to assume that there isn't more than two more elims, but I guess you never know. Xino didn't interact very much, but his teammates must have made some attempt to save him, especially since he had an extra kill. I'm going to bed now, but I will do a thorough thread read tomorrow.
  15. Okay, so currently we are sitting at a Xino getting lynched with three votes and everyone else has one vote. Now, mechanically, if Xino had a blessing of stability, he could save himself and cause a no lynch. I don't feel particularly good or bad about Xino, but I'd hate for some last minute shenanigans to happen and cause a tie. Xino, TUN. I'm still suspicious of you @The Unknown Novel, but I'm getting off for the night and so I want my vote to be helpful. Now, don't cause too much of a ruckus while I'm off. I know that 30 minutes is plenty of time to cause chaos. Also, any last words, comments, questions, concerns, or accusations @xinoehp512?
  16. Uhhhhh, other than the fact that you still have The Unkown Novel voting for Mat, it all looks correct. I appreciate you putting out vote counts though!!!
  17. Okay, I'm realizing that my rping isn't really being that helpful even though it is so much fun, so I am going to separate them. I voted for TUN genuinely, but I wasn't counting votes at the time and didn't realize it would make a tie, although, I think personally that it doesn't matter. What I didn't like about TUN's opening post was that he deliberately pointed out that tying is why he was voting and for no other reason. It only really helps the elims if no one gets imprisoned to the vote. The reason why I say that it doesn't matter that I caused a tie is because of why I voted. I wanted to hear more from TUN and that failed. He only posted once more and it was referencing only Illwei's vote on him as well as "not liking Araris's vote on Mat." He then takes his own vote on Mat off without adding anything else. I also completely forgot that he changed his name to NoVeel, which makes way more sense... I was using the participants list in the OP to make sure I had the right names. Also, I know that it is day one and votes move around quite a bit anyways, but I think that it is worth noting that neither Mat or TUN seemed overly concerned about the votes on them, almost like they could rely on some help to move the votes off of them... Now I'm not saying they are teamed, but it would help explain TUN's first vote. (Trying to build distance) I just remember that TUN usually cares more about votes that are placed on him. I also just have a freaking hard time of reading Mat so he is perpetually in my neutral zone every time I play with him! Also, I just want to point out that Araris has three votes on him, Wizard has two, and everyone else has one. TUN took his vote off of Mat, but it was counted in @Ashbringer's vote count. I didn't accuse Mat, I just never trust him and I was voicing that through my character. I was voting on TUN, but his original RP name was almost exactly like Mat's and I forgot that he changed it. Also, what are your thoughts on other people? Araris, Wizard, Mat, and TUN, who have all been high up in the votes over the course of this cycle. I'm okay with your vote on me, but I would like to hear what you think about other people so far as well. Ties can help encourage discussion, I'm just not okay with making ties being the reason someone is voting. Speaking of encouraging discussion, you don't seem to be doing much of that yourself. Araris seems to be pretty village to me. The above quote feels like V!Araris. While several of the votes on him kind of came out of no where. Stick's vote on Araris is all about Araris explaining his retract but not his vote on Stick. I too am a person that thinks while typing, so I empathize with Araris. Stick's vote seems more retaliatory than anything else to me. Illwei posted nonsense about Mat and TUN never being teamed, which seems weird, but also too weird so I would classify her post as more v leaning, but something to watch for. Wizard's post is straight up self preservation. If anyone was an elim on that train, I would bet more on Stick than anyone else. As for the second most likely to get lynched right now, Wizard seems to be playing like themselves and while I would like to see more participation from Him, I don't think it is a reason to lynch him. Edit: Anyways... RP time!
  18. "Hmmmm, I must be getting old." ConQuis thought to himself. It wasn't like him to not take thought when he spoke. It was a slip up that he was sad to have made, but it made no difference. As things have moved on since his words, however, he would have to be more cautious in the future. Now we're dangerous times. Long time friends and allies could be your darkest enemies in the next moment. MaTriim was... An interesting person. They smiled and were a great friend, but ConQuis always got the feeling that they would just as easily stab you in the back. Things have swayed back and forth so much as people have shouted at one person and then another. ConQuis paused in his thoughts as he grabbed a small white crystal and absorbed it into his body. A second later, a similar crystal came out of his hand and he put it down on the ground. He liked shaping his body into fantastic shapes, unlike any Noble, Skaa, or Terrisman. It helped him to feel at home. In this form, in this shape, he was not fulfilling a contract. It did have its cons though. He looked again at the crystal he put down, it was cracked. Yes, these materials were beautiful, but fragile. In times like these, it may be best to go with something sturdier... But not bone. No, that would make him itch and worry what imaginary master would have him do. Turning his thoughts away from such dark dwellings, he focused his attention to the matter at hand. The imprisonment. WiiZaad was being far too quiet despite being one of the people being highly investigated. Stiiik was asking questions and started to be investigated himself. Perhaps his questions hit too close to home? Perhaps not though. ArVaal came up as a point of discussion among many circles, however, he himself is one of those Investigating Stiiik. Is it an attempt to take some of the focus off of himself? Of course, what Kandra wants to be at the center of attention at a time like this? Whether seen as too bad or too good, you will not have much time left in the free air. Edit: @Matrim's Dice Why all of the emojis? You've had one in almost every sentence.
  19. ConQuis watched on as Kandra after Kandra accused each other of betrayal. It was a rather disappointing and even frustrating sight. The homeland was protected by secrecy, only a few people actually knew where the homeland was. If the Second generation stayed here they would be safe. The Thirds could get a taste of what it would be like to be hunted down and destroyed. No, we couldn't risk what might happen to all Kandra. We were already a mistrusted race and if a few of us destroyed what little trust we had with people, then the rest of us might never be able to get it back. No, the rest of the Seconds were right, we must root out this dissention before it was too late. According to our laws, there must not be ties in the vote to imprison. We are a people of justice, and we cannot afford to fight amongst ourselves, well more than we are. "Why Mirtaam (TUN), are you looking to tie the votes? The only way we can root out the dissenters is through finding connections between them. We cannot do that without imprisoning someone."
  20. I'm in! I'll be ConQuis. (That's the best I could think of, suggestions will be accepted!)
  21. Yes! I'm feeling much more confident about my time management so sign me up!!!
  22. Yay! Another Son of Feanor double role! Although, not one of the ones I would've figured for a double role mechanics wise. It fits great thematically though. This again makes it so hard to choose between you and Araris, but because I think your claim would be less likely as Melkor, I think I'll swing to Araris. JNV This will help a little with consolidating the vc because that is just terrible! We'll never catch Melkor like that! Also, @JNV I would happily take a shield, but I think you should give it to Kas since I feel pretty good about his Finwe claim. Even though they can't be protected, they can still use the shield to protect someone else, if they survive. Also, I hope everyone has their heirs set up so if they get an item and get killed the same cycle, at least that item will go to someone they trust.
  23. Hmmm, now I'm unsure about Araris but I honestly don't know who else to go for exactly. I do think that since 2/3 of players have already claimed and since we already have a Feanor and a Finwe claim, along with Galadriel revealed, there really isn't anyone we need to hide. I am of the belief that JNV, Mat, TUN, and Devo should just go ahead and claim. I mean, is there any real reason not to? There could be but I'm not seeing any convincing reasons. For that purpose and for reasons stated earlier... JNV. Araris, I'm still unsure about you, but I think this is a better use of vote power and time.
