  1. KoTiel thought for a bit. "In that case, what happens if I eat part of you, like your limbs, and wait with killing you until after I've digested you? Will part of my mass just vanish?"
  2. "So if I kill you now I get a new clone?" KoTiel asked. "Hmm, that might make for a good source of food. Hey Mac," they called out, "do we have a spiritweb imager here? I want to see how his mind transfers between clones."
  3. "So does he get cloned if he dies?" KoTiel started smiling. "Well, in that case, I've got a couple of tests to run on him."
  4. KoTiel sighed, again. "Can someone check spatial security, this is a bit weird." They paused. "Weirder than normal, I mean." With that, they grabbed the man's head and pushed it against the wall.
  5. KoTiel watched the man collapse. They sighed. "I actually wanted to ask them how they got here. Oh well, back to the experiment."
  6. A single spike would be difficult, even Harmony can't take control of someone with less than four spikes (Kandra are an exception, they are a lot more vulnerable). And even then, a normal allomancer would need either duralumin or be a nircrosil ferring to take control of a four spiker (remember the trouble Vin had with getting the Koloss).
  7. KoTiel saw someone walk in. "Who is that," they wondered, "he doesn't look like he belongs here." Immediately, the meaning of that sunk in. "Mac, intruder," they said. Immediately, they started channeling the dor, and tried to slam him into the wall, in order to stun him.
  8. "Hmm, yes, that would work much better," KoTiel said. "Do we want to reuse this test subject or get a new one?"
  9. "Yes, I agree," KoTiel said. "Spiking out the whole soul would be difficult though, and would be the same as killing the subject. Perhaps it would be easier to kill them first using something like a shardblade, and then apply the spike?"
  10. KoTiel sighed, and gestured for a denizen to figure out what set off the alarms, and to get whoever caused it in here as the next test subject.
  11. "Progression, sure." KoTiel replied. They walked towards the cabinet and started searching. "No, this is Abrasion, this is Adhesion, this is Cohesion, Strength... What's a physical spike doing in the surges cabinet?" They muttered to themselves. "Ah, Progression, got it." They walked back to Mac, and handed them the spike.
  12. KoTiel walked in. "Sorry I'm late everyone, I got lost in alley 32+87i. How can I help?"
  13. Nope. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/35/#e2525
  14. There are a fair bunch of different immortality methods available. The one used by the 17th shard should also work on people without investure.
  15. KoTiel sighed, and started walking back to the city, heading for their lab. "I think the war has begun again?" They wondered. "I guess I'll see when they need me again. In the mean time, I've got work to do." With that, they walked into the alleys.
  16. Time in the alleyverse tends to be ... weird. Mostly people don't specify timeframes for their origins, but you can pick any timeframe, just blame it on alleys messing with time, or immortality.
  17. The whole not using his powers for evil seems a bit weird btw, how does that work?
  18. If allowed, I'd be a dragon, because of the immortality and shapeshifting, otherwise an elantrian because of the huge potential, and the fact that it'd be really useful on earth, as long as you have a how-to guide on aons.
  19. "True, but transferring spikes won't be the issue," KoTiel said. "I actually don't want to transfer any, safe for perhaps my feruchemical zinc spike. Transferring spikes between kandra is always problematic. There's also the issue of part of the spiritweb being transferred through the spikes. I'd prefer to simply create a new set of blessings. The same goes for storing identity. The chance of part of the spiritweb transferring is too big."
  20. "I don't think it should," KoTiel replied. "The main crutch here is that the new Kandra needs to be a blank slate. If it isn't, the memories might start conflicts, or the body's personality might start conflicting with my own. But, as long as the body doesn't have any memories, these conflicts shouldn't appear." They thought for a bit, tapping their zinc. "Preservation of the memories might be an issue, but only while the memories aren't inside of a body. As soon as they are, the body will assimilate them, and the decay should halt, since at that point they'd just be normal memories."
