KanMien nodded at Lita's words. "There's something else we should consider," they said. "Specifically, what we'll do with the Vortex. It might be better to wait with closing it, at least until we've managed to study it some more. While the things it creates are dangerous, they're only so against people without any training, or people caught on their own. If we've managed to evacuate the entire city it would minimize any danger to leaving the Vortex active, allowing us to study it and make sure we shut it off safely." They looked at the DA leaders, and continued. "Also, if additional help is needed for the evacuation, we could probably use the alleys for that. We should be able to setup a network separate from the main alleys. As long as everybody follows the directions guides give them it should be save." They shot a questioning look towards Mac and Voidus, to make sure this was indeed possible. Aylitha threw a look at KanMien, and then at the others present. She suspected at least some of them would be opposed to the suggestion. "If you prefer we didn't do that, you could also withdraw from the building and leave it to us," she said, sounding vaguely annoyed. "As long as we limit our creations to only that area there shouldn't be much in the way of collateral damage." She smiled, looking at the TUBA members. "I could even do it myself," she said, "as long as you put a leash on that ... Thing of yours."

Alyitha yelped when the HR department showed up, and dissolved into a large mass of unidentifiable matter, slithering away in all directions. She could swear she'd heard her heartbeat at that moment, despite not having one. When she finally reassembled in a distant alley she sighed, and left the alleys. Seeing the city around her she softly touched the wall of the restaurant, trying to figure out how long it had been since she'd last wandered the world. Shaking her head she walked into the restaurant just as Voidus started speaking. Grabbing a chair she sat down with the others, and started staring at the ceiling.

Aylitha smiled at him. "Congratulations," she said. She thought about what he had said, about the trouble in town. It had been a long time since she had left the alleys, ignoring Karin, and she found herself reminded of the old days, back when she was young, back when her body wasn't hers yet. She had almost forgotten what it had been like. Unconsciously small tentacles started forming on her arms, lashing out in anticipation. "That does sounds... interesting," she finally said. "Yes, I think I'll join."

Aylitha tilted her head, sifting through her memories. "Ah, right," she said when she found him. "That has been a while. I think so, at least. Linear time is confusing me nowadays." She smiled. "I'm actually the department head currently." Her face clouded as she thought about what he had said though. "It has been centuries, you said? That's long right? Sorry I haven't been in touch, I've been have a ... hard time focusing on things nowadays. I only got the message about the Alley 0 meeting a few minutes ago. Or was it a year ago?" She shook her head, then smiled again. "Still, it's nice to see you again. What are you up to nowadays?"

KanMien tapped their cup of tea, considering Lita's question. Not sure, they signed back. Both could work. Still, we aren't using any disguises, so it isn't as if they wouldn't be able to recognize us in the future, and at least some of them might recognize us from the meeting with Sudiov. I'd suggest being honest, since if they do happen to be familiar with us they'd be more likely to trust us. They frowned, remembering this was TUBA they were talking about. Correction, they signed, they'd distrust us less than they already do. *** A large black fox slowly walked through the alleys, watching the ancient stones. Emotions flowed through her, something humans might have called excitement, or trepidation, or perhaps curiosity. She tried to remember the last time she had left her domain, left behind her research. Still, it felt right, for something strange was afoot. New things, things that had never happened before, things that happened so far in the past only a few remembered them. Or maybe they had happened only recently, and it just felt like such a long time, or perhaps it was both. She sighed, the normal, human sound coming across as unnatural when she made it. She looked forwards, seeing the figures walking there, walking towards them. "Hello," she said, looking at them. She wondered if she had met them before. She was almost sure she had, at least for two of them, but it might be that she was simply remembering things that hadn't happened yet again. It happened to her sometimes, a consequence of how time flowed within these paths, and how she existed in so many of them. Again, it didn't matter. She knew who they were though, and that did matter. Common courtesy, she thought, and a shiver went through her, her body folding in on itself, a young girl standing there when she finished, small tentacles still retreating back into her body. "It has been a while," she said, smiling, her expression looking unnerving with her black eyes and pale skin.

Kumiko walked through the PlasmaCore building, staying a few meters behind the others, completely unseen. She smiled. She could get used to a power like this. She looked at the woman in front of her. TUBA, if she recalled correctly. Looking closer, it seemed as if she'd found something interesting. Going by her instincts she walked up behind her, and switched back to Cat form. "Hey," she said. "Found anything interesting?" *** KanMien took the cup the man brought them. "Thanks," they said, deciding to ignore the comment about the spikes. They took a sip and sighed at the warm feeling of the tea, feeling themselves relax. Settling down they looked at the others, making sure to keep an eye on the door. Unconsciously they started toying with their phone, feeling concerned about Kumiko.

KanMien walked into the restaurant, following the man from TUBA. Looking around they sat down at an empty table. "Do you want anything?" They heard the man say. They thought about that. It wasn't likely that anything would be poisoned, and he probably wouldn't have a poison that could work on them even if he tried, and given the situation it would be better to get sustenance whenever the situation allowed for it. "Yes please," they said. "Do you have any tea?" They decided not to ask about food. Asking about a corpse or rotting meat would likely make him think they were looking for trouble.

KanMien followed the others, hands on their guns. "Yeah, it's a tavern," they said. "Thought that place shut down more than a year ago though. Guess it wasn't."

KanMien looked at the TUBA member. This will take a while, they thought. They looked at Lita. Tineye, right? "You know, we could just take the phone and talk to them directly." they murmered, keeping their voice low enough only a Tineye could hear them. @ZincAboutIt

So, my opinions on this. Re: OP characters I personally don't mind OP characters, but only if they are rped responsibly. With this I mean either of the following: The person using them realizes the impact the character has and makes sure that they don't directly affect the plot, unless the other participants agree, and in this case only uses the minimum amount of power necessary to resolve it. I'd say Voidus is good example of this. Under this I'd also classify characters that were allowed by the mods but have the potential to become OP because of how their powers and skills work. The character is meant for a specific plot, and is deliberately OP to give a challenge to the other players. This is the place most BoV characters fall in. I'd say the biggest thing here is that the character's level of OPness is properly balanced to make sure that they provide challenge but not steamroll everyone. This also includes giving them weaknesses that can be abused to defeat them that the other players are aware of, or at least able to logically deduce. As for my own feedback for how everything's currently going: I personally feel like the plot is being railroaded too much. While a bit of railroading can be good to make sure the plot stays focused it's currently too much. Right now it feels as if we can't really do anything in the plot. We don't have the knowledge to advance it ourselves and the advancement that does happen only goes in small steps. I've noticed this is being worked on though, so that is good. Another issue with this however is that it currently feels as if nothing we do has any actual impact on what's happening. Most of what we're doing seems to be interacting with other people to kill time until the BoV decides to do something. At the same time I haven't seen a single time where our actions have actually caused anything to shape the plot. The biggest thing interaction I can think of is Mike's and Bellatrix interaction, and even that hasn't created any larger consequences for the plot in general. Currently it feels as if we can do whatever we want, because it doesn't mean anything for the plot, which is kind of disheartening and boring. Keep in mind that these are my own observations, it's possible that the others have different opinions or observations on this.

Someone (Grey Knight) liked WH40K back when the RP was first created and wondered if there was a way to import it and eventually came up with a character that was a miniature brought to life by an Epic. Somehow this turned into an actual faction, and eventually it was decided to keep them since they'd been around since the start and had been fairly important during the Seven Day War.

Quietly Kumiko stalked behind the forces moving into the PlasmaCore building and watched them enter the lobby. She followed them, but stayed a distance behind them, to make sure that they'd trip any defense systems first. *** KanMien watched as Laurelai walked out of the alleys dripping wet and sighed. They walked out behind her and nodded to the others. "Plan?" They asked.

Here's a new (kind of strange) character. It's sort of two characters. One is the actual character and the second is the identity used when outside of the alleys. Note: They aren't simply pretending to be weaker outside the alleys, their noted powers are all they've got access to when the Sudiov nerfs are in effect. Note 2: There are some inconsistencies with her, including a few things about her abilities that don't function how Epic abilities should function. These are there on purpose, read the spoilered part at the end for the reason why.

KanMien walked out of the alleys to the same place as Lita had gone to. Just before they walked out of the shadows the spotted Mac though. Looking at them something told them that they shouldn't let Mac and Lita know they were there. They stood there waiting, listening in on the conversation. *** Kumiko was looking at the building when the barrier suddenly started flickering, strange red spren flying out. Looking closer at it she saw people going in during the points the barrier was down. She stared it for a few seconds, then made her decision. Taking out her phone she she sent a message to KanMien, then signed the same message to Whisper. Barrier unstable, it read. Heading in. Be careful, spren are escaping it. Taking a deep breath she jumped down the building, and when she hit the ground she focused and switched form to a Stranger. Feeling herself move out of focus as the powers took effect she walked up to the barrier, and during a flicker, walked in and entered it.

KanMien checked their guns, going through their magazines, making sure all were loaded and easily accessed. Focusing their senses inwards they checked on their spikes and their zinc stores. They nodded, everything as good as it would get. Ready, they felt their blessings, and slowly breathed in and out, their face growing cold as their emotions faded away. They focused on what they should be right now, cold, focused, not distracted by emotions or concern. And then they felt the change come over them, first slow, then faster, their personality fading away, replaced by the one they needed right now. They nodded to Lita. "I'm ready," they said in a cold tone. "Lets go."

Alright, Kumiko signed back, feeling glad that Whisper was alright. She shook her head, wondering why she cared. Whisper was only a human after all. Again she shook her head, now wasn't the time to dwell on that. She switched to Rabbit, running towards a nearby building, then jumped. As soon as her feet left the ground she switched to Eagle, letting the lower weight launch her upwards onto the roof. She kept repeating that until she reached the highest building around. She looked down at the streets and the PlasmaCore building. Switching to Cat she sat down, looking at what was happening. I'll stay here, she signed. I'll keep an eye on the place. Looking down at the place she found her thoughts going back to earlier, wondering why she cared about what happened to the others, to a few humans. She's a DA member, she thought. She probably isn't human anyway. The same probably goes for the others. She nodded, that made sense. Still, she could feel it nagging at her even as she was watching the situation below her unfold.
