  1. Hellbent heard the forest go silent. Then he heard a clatter. But it also went silent. He growled. Probably a distraction. Hellbent stepped over some bush, trailing his injured right arm along the trees. Then he lifted his blade, face a snarl, and began cutting through and tree he saw, at an angle that it would fall away from him, onto any hiding behind them.
  2. A faint sound began piercing the air, echoing from the misty forest. A faint, somewhat familiar scream. Hellbent could hear the scream as well, resounding from inside his head. Lisa didn't see anything, and started to panic. Mind rushing, a plan started to form in her head. She looked in front of her, and managed to spot something lying on the ground. Ducking, she picked up the small rock, nearly tripping the the process. She quickly hid behind the biggest tree she could see, throwing the rock in the different direction, hoping Hellbent would go there instead. Then she hid, keeping down her breath, and took her knife from her pocket, unfolding it. She peeked behind the tree, trying to spot Hellbent.
  3. Lisa heard Hellbent closing in, and knew it was only a matter of time before he killed her. Frantically she started looking around for something she could use to get away.
  4. Hellbent slashed through the trees, following the path the woman had crushed through the forest. He used wild cuts, trees, bushes, and other growth falling apart. Lisa heard loud crashing noises behind her, and knew Hellbent was coming closer. Her heart was thundering in her ears, and she tried to run even faster, but knew it was only a matter of time before he caught her. She turned to the right, ducking in between two trees and continued running, hoping that Hellbent wouldn't notice.
  5. Lisa looked back, and saw Hellbent gaining on her. She put even more strength in her legs, running as fast as she could, racing for the treeline. As soon as she reached it she ducked beneath a couple of low hanging branches and started running towards the densest growths she could see.
  6. "Sure you want to do that?" She yelled while turning around, high on Adrenalin. "Would be bad for your rep if you can't kill a girl." She started running away from the ruins, towards the forest, yelling a multitude of insults at Hellbent.

KanMien looked at Laurelai, and considered the question, and found themselves wondering what KoTiel would have done. They would have probably gone along just out of curiosity, without care for the consequences or risks. Then their eye fell on Kumiko and they sighed. "Of course I'll join," they said with a smile. "Someone's got to keep an eye on Kumiko after all." They proceeded to ignore the dirty look Kumiko gave them.
  8. Lisa took a deep breath, and tried to stop shaking. She looked at Hellbent, and prepared herself for what was likely to come. She thought back to her highschool PE classes, and took a javelin throwing stance, aiming her spear at Hellbent. "Hey ugly, over here!" She yelled, and threw the spear at him with as much force as she could muster.

KanMien just gazed at her, trying to figure out what she was talking about. Kumiko tilted her head for a bit. "Binturong?" She asked. "Do you mean a bearcat? Why do you need one?"
  10. Lisa's face went white. Arun, she thought. She had forgotten about her in her panic. She thought about the others, the ones trying to fight, and knew they'd die as well. They'll die anyway, she tried to convince herself, and we'd die too. She looked at the others, her eyes falling on Lizanne. She can't run, she realized. She will die too. She looked down at the spear she was holding, and an idea formed in her head. She heard the screams in her head not to do it, to just let them die, but ignored them. She looked at the others "I might be able to deal with Hellbent," she said, suprised at how calm she sounded. "If it works you need to leave as soon as possible. I don't think I can do anything permanent, and I'm not sure how long it'll work." With that she stood up and moved out from behind the rock, circling around Hellbent, trying not to draw his attention.
  11. Lisa looked over the rock they were hiding behind, and immediately ducked back behind it, almost curling up in panic. She looked at the others, and somehow managed not to completely panic. "What are going to do?" She whispered in a panicking voice. "Are we going to run away? I mean, right now they're busy with each other, but I don't think Wilhelm can win. And they eye is there as well."

KanMien sighed, glad the meeting was over and that they weren't reduced to a pile of ash. Noticing Kumiko was missing they looked around, hoping she hadn't done anything stupid. They saw her standing next to Laurelai, and noting that nothing was on fire they guessed that everything was probably alright. Just as they were about to walk towards her they saw Kumiko move her hand backwards, like she was planning on throwing something. They paused, wondering what she was doing. "Sure," Kumiko said to Laurelai, "give me one sec." She looked at the ground and picked up a small rock. Looking around she spotted KanMien, and noted that she was just looking at her. She smiled, it would make getting her attention a lot easier. She then aimed and threw the rock in her hand at her face as fast as she could, hitting KanMien in the nose. "Headshot!" She mouthed. KanMien walked towards Kumiko, wiping away the blood on their face and healing their broken nose. "And what was that all about?" They angrily ask Kumiko once they came close. "I needed to get you attention," she said, trying to sound innocent. She pointed a thumb over her shoulder toward Laurelai. "She wanted to talk to you." "Then you call out to me," they said, still angry. "Either that or you gesture me to come over. You don't throw rocks to get my attention, especially when you see I'm already looking at you." "You don't need to be so upset," Kumiko said in an annoyed tone. "It isn't like I hurt you or anything. You've already healed your nose again anyway." KanMien sighed, and turned towards Laurelai. "Hey laurelai," they said. "Sorry about that. You wanted to speak to me?"
  13. Lisa slowly backed away, only the presence of Lizanne and Renata keeping her from panicking and running away. She kept her spear pointed towards Hellbent and the Eye, the tip shaking. She glanced behind herself, making sure nothing would trip her up or make noise.
  14. Lisa woke up from Lizanne's screaming, and rolled out of the curtain she used as a blanket. Grabbing the spear she'd made she stood up, trying to focus. She looked in the direction lizanne and Renata were facing, and saw Hellbent, and the burning corpse of Tish. Her mind went blank for a second, until the the panic settled in. She saw the way he stood, and instinctively knew he would kill them. "We've got to run," She whispered in a panicked tone. "Now!"
  15. That'll create some ... Interesting reactions from the other characters.
  16. Shade nodded, and gave a small wave to the woman. She then started walking in the direction the priests had indicated, looking for the high priest. Along the way she slightly used her ability, sighing in relief as she felt the gazes around her lessen. Softly Shade walked up to the door of the office, not sure if she wanted the high priest to be in or not. Nervously she knocked on the door. @Blessing of Potency

  18. A teacher's helper, Shade thought. She liked the idea, being able to work with children, to help them. Still, she wondered if she had any right to do something like that, given what she'd done. She focused back on the soldier. "Being a teacher's helper sounds nice," she said. "Still, I guess that's something I'd have to discuss with the priests, isn't it?"
