  1. Hey, Kyrt! Welcome to the forums! I'd consider myself something of a writer, but I have very little actual experience. I've started a few books, but it's hard to make them not fall into the generic Campbellian hero cycle or become redundant derivatives of books I personally like. I'm probably closer to the 1st and 3rd groups discussed above by Elenion, but that disclaimer aside I'd be perfectly willing to offer critique or help edit some of your work if you need it Also, if you happen to have some spare time, I'd highly recommend Sanderson Elimination, a mafia style RP that can be found at the bottom of the main forums page. There's currently an LG (the longest style of game) hosting signups that is based in Nalthis, the host world of Warbreaker. It'll be a couple weeks before the next spoiler-free game will crop up (possibly longer, dependent on the world in which the one-after-next is set), so if you'd like to try it out, I'd recommend joining now! Oh yeah, and to reiterate what was stated above, DO NOT take the cookies. They have dangerously high levels of iron...
  2. Heisenberg, Ohm, and Schröder are in a car when a cop pulls them over. The cop asks Heisenberg, the driver, if he knew how fast he as going.
"No, but I know exactly where I am" Heisenberg replies.
     "You were doing 87 in a 55."
"Great! Now I'm lost!" Heisenberg responds, exasperated
The cop is suspicious of this odd behavior and decides to search the car. He looks in the trunk first and says "Hey, you guys have a dead cat back here!"
"We do now, jerk!" shouts Schröder.
The cop tries to arrest them for animal cruelty and reckless driving. Ohm resists the charges.

  3. Nice job, everyone! That was an amazing game. Joe, you did really well for having a squirtle, bravo! Bard, congrats on your revenge. I thought I had that one in the bag
  4. Thanks, Joe! If I'm being honest, I was probably going to vote Bard later this cycle anyways, then redirect your attack to yourself and attack you myself as well. It seemed like the only way for me to win, since I'm low enough HP I'd likely be one-shot by a Dragonair (I assume they're the ones who do 3 damage/hit). I like not risking the game on a coin flip much more, so thanks for backing me with that vote Oh, and Bard, it's nothing personal, but since we can't co-win, I kinda want that "mewtwo" for myself. I wouldn't be voting for you if we weren't the last 2 players with a good chance of winning
  5. @The Young Bard, did you attack Joe 2 cycles ago? If so, does your attack deal 3 damage (to squirtles, at least)? I kinda doubt Ecth's metapod did that kind of damage like he claimed, and it wasn't me, so it would have to have been you. If he really lost that much health in one cycle, I'd believe that he's down to one now (since the starters began with 5, IIRC)
  6. Welcome to the forums! Always nice to have a new face around! Here, have an upvote Do you know what the cosmere is? Because if not, you might find it interesting, but I wouldn't reccomend crawling the forums for cosmere info until you've read the Stormlight Achive. As for the next Sanderson work you read, I'd reccomend Emperor's Soul. It's a great novella, and it's short enough that you don't have to commit to reading it for a long period of time (I finished it in one night, but I read abnormally quickly). Oh, and if someone offers you cookies, don't take them (they're spiky...)
  7. I personally am somewhat suspicious of Joe. He claims to have a basic Pokemon, yet also claims to have a plan that would allow him to win. Assuming Magestar was honest and the unknowns have higher hp than others, Joe with a starter would have little to no chance of winning even in a final 2 battle. So, basically, there are 3 possible scenarios: 1) Joe doesn't have a plan and is playing mind games 2) Joe has a plan but has not accounted for his claimed weakness 3) Joe has a plan and has a way to narrow the gap, so to speak or 4) Joe has a special Pokemon, but is denying it to make himself a smaller target Either 3 or 4 is dangerous to us, while 2 is the best case (but most unlikely) scenario. 1 is just somewhat annoying, and unlikely because claiming a plan raises your threat level, so he wouldn't do it for no reason Oh, and if you were referring to me, Ecthelion, I'm not inactive, but I can only make it on occasionally thanks to XC conditioning
  8. @Amanuensis, just in case you forgot with the extension and all, the cycle ended an hour ago
  9. I say we kill Orlock. I attacked him once earlier, and he was impervious, so I have a feeling he was using harden. Don't want him getting a possibly gamebreaking Butterfree on us.
  10. I feel like what actually happened is that stink said you could evolve if you tricked us into lynching you a 3rd time in a row, or something like that. I mean, you're practically asking to be lynched, which is making me paranoid, but I still think I have a valid point
  11. Doesn't Alvron have some secret power that makes him unlynchable? I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure we've already lynched him twice. What was that Einstein said about insanity, again?
  12. Hi everyone! I can confirm that poison deals 1 damage each night, although I have no idea as to the expiration. My biggest wonder right now is if double copies of the same hidden Pokemon exist. I'm also curious as to wether or not there are Pokemon that know who attacked them. Oh, and I'd still like to know how Meta(?) knew Orlok(?) had fly. (Sorry if I messed up the playernames, I'm exhausted right now)
  13. I wasn't informed, all I was told is that it wasn't very effective and I was poisoned. It also didn't break up the damage analysis for me, so I just know my total HP lost instead of how much each attack individually contributed @Ecthelion III Edit 2: I just had an amazing idea! If no one attacks me tonight, I'll let you all know how much my health goes down from poison. That way, I don't die as fast and you get more info
  14. I was somehow poisoned last night, not sure how. It's flattering that 3 people all decided I was one of the biggest threats, though And I agree with Nyali's assesment of the situation. Orlok
  15. Joe. And Meta, my playstyle shouldn't make me a threat at this early of a stage. I'm fully willing to team with anyone who would like to. I have no problem not voting for or attacking anyone so long as no one votes on or attacks me, so why wouldn't you target a more aggressive player? It seems like that would further your interests more. As for my being an eliminator, why on earth would I publicly ally with a teammate this early in the game? With the current lack of reasoning in votes, I could do whatever I wanted to help my hypothetical faction anyways with as little as "Why not?" for explanation. There is literally no reason I'd do that as an eliminator, only as a village who wants to live as long as possible. @Eolhondras, would you care for a non aggression pact?
