1. Is it ok if I RP as Sevro au Barca? I'll make it so I'm undercover as a member of family X, since Barca isn't one of the families in the game. I don't think it'd preclude me from doing anything or holding any role
2. You gorydamn Pixies think you can keep Sevro out of this game? Slag that. Watch your back, Jackal; the Goblin is coming and has a dept to repay. An eye for an eye, and all that. Howlers, on me! Questions: I thought Nero was ArchGoverner and Tiberious sought to overthrow him, not vice versa. Was this intentional? Will there be any hidden roles or factions Do members of the Telemanus family die if the person they're protecting gets killed? The merit/post method seems to disadvantage those who make wall posts. Can people use the page break to split up large posts into sections and receive a merit for each section? (Merit would be assigned at discretion of GM, of course) For those of you who don't know what I mean by "page break", it looks like and can be acomplished by
3. So, the side win con I was trying for is to make 4 spikes by harvesting corpses of the dead. I was unable to harvest Mage's body C1 and just failed to harvest Rae's last cycle, so I still have 0/4 of the spikes I need. I came to Sel hoping to make a spike from Dow, but I probably won't live long enough to make the rest, so it's kind of pointless (no pun intended). I'm ok with being killed at this point, honestly. Those of you interested in prolonging the game, I'm actually not the last GoH, so there's no real reason to worry. If it's fine with you, though, I'd like to live 1 more cycle so I can pass the bottle of water to Stick (I'd feel bad if it disappears on my death). Oh, and Nyali, I for one still having fun, so don't worry too much about the game. It seems like it had a huge degree of thought and effort go into it, and bravo on keeping up with the GMing so well. As for my voting on myself, Bard, I knew it would screw up your win con vote on me after that, so you'd try to lead the lynch on someone else. That was pretty much the entire strategy of that vote. Wilson, I can confirm that GoH didn't attack you that night. One of my goals requires me to kill Wax, Marasi, or MeLaan and end the game with the BoM, but that's the only "kill specific person" goal I've been informed of by my living teammates, so we would have literally no reason to even if we had the opportunity. As for the spike I picked up, it's self use only, and I wasn't told the requirements of use or the effects. It has high investiture levels and unknown origin, but that's all I know about it
4. @I_am_a_Stick, do you mind hopping to Sel tonight? I can come to you if you like, but if we meet up there it'd really help with my win con
5. Gahhhh, I saw that it was in Ogden, and I have an Ogden within an hour drive from me, so I got excited. It wasn't the same Ogden, unfortunately Splinters and Sharders could be a good distinction. I like Uninvested, too
6. Hello! Welcome to the forums, and have an upvote Have you heard of the Cosmere yet? If not, you're in for something of a wild ride. Oh, and if someone offers you cookies, run
7. He cut off his arms and legs and jumped in a lake Does the next morning mean within 24 hours, or the next morning by date? Because if it's the second one, he killed a person each night for the next year
8. Coffin. Someone else can do my riddle
9. I'm going to say Quixotic, just in case it helps someone win
10. Yeah, there was, assuming you trust Bard as a scanner. Also, Dalinar seemed to slip up and color the GBs pink, which suggests he was a Ghostblood himself. Finally, Luckat admitted to being a Ghostblood, which I doubt was faked (since it led to her(?) ultimate death by defenestration)
11. For future reference, you can write
Red text[/ code] to display Red text In my opinion, it tends to be clearer, especially since it means the code can just be copied word for word without modifications Edit: apparently, nested code tags have an error that means the first
tag ends the code block. I'll see if I can try to play around and figure it out
12. That's quite honestly a horrible philosophy. Just because you can't win doesn't mean you should try to stop other people from doing well. I mean, I've already tried/offered to help 2-3 people this cycle despite there being literally no way for me to succeed in my primary or secondary goal. It doesn't hurt you to continue the game, you're simply ending it to hurt other people's chances at winning. When I accidentally implied earlier that Aman was doing what you both are, he took it as a personal insult, but you both are going out of your way to do it and not even hiding it behind a possible reason other than greifing
13. Bugsy Con works too. ETA: My reasoning for this is that he's inactive. His death won't lose anyone anything, and could possibly help depending on his role
14. I won't use a kill or even attack a player tonight. There's no need to waste negate actions on me. I just want to finish one of my goals, if possible.
15. What he said Everyone has 3 goals. If you kill me now, most of you will only get the 1st one done. Note that the 1st goal on your list isn't more important than the rest, it's just the goal of your faction. Also realize that if all the members of GoH are killed early, the game ends. Succeeding at the first goal at the expense of the 2 others is still 66.66% of a loss.
16. What research do you have to do? I'd be happy to help if you need to interview a Scadrian or Taldainian, since I'm from Scadrial with a Taldainian spirit web. Not sure if both would actually work, but I'd be willing to try
17. Ok. In regards to that, I actually started by voting on myself to dissuade a lynch on me. I don't actually want to die, but it makes it much harder for you all to manipulate the vote if my vote is on myself. If the vote is tied, I could retract. If I'm up one or two, I could switch. If I'm up three, I would just keep my vote on until the end, risking death, to encourage Bard to remove his vote (he doesn't want me to die until he has the first vote on me )
18. I completely understand, I get the same feeling (except when I'm an Elim. Then people spreading bad reads is a plus ) Do you happen to have a saved copy of the post anywhere, by chance? I thought that last line was meant to read 'you lie' with a typo, but if you meant to say something else I'd be interested in hearing it.
19. I honestly didn't mean to imply that. For some reason, I assumed that the Child win condition required the child to be living at the end when all GoH got killed to win overall, so I was simply reminding everyone that you might want to lynch me sooner rather than later to ensure your own survival and therefore partial victory. I didn't mean you did it to ruin someone else's win con, but I realize now that it could be interpreted that way. My sincere apologies. And what does my lying have to do anything about it? I try to maintain a certain standard beyond which I won't lie. For example, if I agree to a deal of some sort (like a role-swap or a nonaggression pact) I follow it to the letter wherever possible. This was one of those cases, where I wasn't lying about what I thought your motives could be (I try to avoid dishonest slander). That distinction seems clear in my own mind, at least.
20. I'll certainly try not to. Hopping to your planet tonight. I appreciate the lack of specificity about the actual identity of said planet that could *hopefully* keep an assassin from trailing me In the meantime, I promise I won't make a kill tonight. While I may lie about my role, I don't when it comes to deals like that.
21. Aman has failed both of his extraneous goals, so he has no real motive to keep me alive. That's a problem for anyone without their other win conditions completed. Be careful of his manipulation; he could very well try for a partial win by orchestrating my death as soon as he can manage it without turning his allies against himself
22. Stick, have you Worldhopped? I just realized I inadvertently ripped you off last night, so if you tell me where you are I'll give the water bottle to you. Sorry!
23. Why on earth would I incentivize votes on me? 2 people killed Joe, plus Joe suicided out of spite. (I think that's an SE first, actually)
24. Bugsy. Goodnight, now
25. Nobly? She was, as you say, a traitor. Where is the nobility in that, if I may beg the question? Joe had the opportunity to recruit who he wanted from a specific list at the beginning of the game. He chose to take a path akin to sleeper agents, where he kept the others alive and hidden so they wouldn't garner suspicion until he needed to activate them. I don't even know of anyone other than Rae who was recruitable by him. He now doesn't have the investiture he would need to activate his sleeper agents, unfortunately, so at the moment it is restricted to us.
