Oh, and completely unrelated to anything above, you should check out Sanderson Elimination. It's based on the common forums Mafia games, and is loads of fun. Be warned, though, that it's a bit of a time commitment.

Nope, I'm not a mod You can enable notifications by clicking the 'follow' button in the subforums you want notifications for. And I'm always happy to welcome new sharders Glad you're enjoying it! He manages the transition pretty well for Era 2, so I'm hopeful he'll be able to sustain that. Don't worry about running out of books, either. You still have the whole Cosmere to read Awesome! Thanks Ooh, good to know! You're much more on top of that than I am. Here's Emperor's Soul, and here's Warbreaker
-
Heh, thanks! I have email notifications for new posts in this section, so I tend to get to new ones pretty fast Mistborn is great. It's my favorite series, personally. I'm sure you'll love it. Than you for the cookies! Can I take them through a metal detector before I eat them? I'm a bit paranoid thanks to the cookies here.

Hello, welcome to the forums! Here, have an upvote What Sanderson books have you read? Which are your favorite? Oh, and no need to be quiet, we don't bite. Keep in mind, you're in a forum for books. We're all awkward here By the way, if you're offered cookies, don't take them. They're spiked
-
Don't eat the cookies, whatever you do! Also, you actually converted people? Tell me your secrets! Seriously, though, I've only gotten 1 friend to read the Cosmere, and another to read Mistborn. This is after over a year of effort. You must be a Rioter or something PS: Having both started and finished Rithmatist for the first time today, I can second the recommendation.

Refer to my first post before eating the cookie
-
Ah, ok. I don't have to feel bad about stealing your job now! Awesome!
-
Bleeder, you forgot the PDFs If you'd like a copy of Warbreaker or Emperor's Soul, they're both available online for free (and I'm pretty sure they're legal ). Let me know if you'd like me to get them for you.

Hey, welcome to the forums! Sorry for the delayed reply, my notifications broke again So, what Cosmere books have you read? Which were your favorite? Here's a quick summary of Cosmere information to help you understand what's going on here. By the way, don't eat the cookie. It's spiked.

To explain the comments above, this week is the birthday of Peter Ahlstrom, Brandon's assistant. In honor of this occasion, lots of people have changed their names to "Ookla the _____". It's been referred to as Ookla week. Here's the link to Cosmere 102. I can confirm that both other sources he provided are very useful as well. Oh, and just to let you know, it's generally preferred if you use the edit function to add information as opposed to posting twice consecutively. It's not a big deal, but it keeps the forums looking nicer

Hello! Welcome to the forums! Have an upvote Which of his books have you read? Which are your favorite? I personally like Mistborn and Emperor's Soul the most. I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have, if you like. Feel free to PM me or quote me in this thread if you want to get my attention. Also, here you go! (By the way, don't take the cookies. They're spiked. )

The Official Thread of Relationships
Bugsy replied to Curious Anamaximder's topic in General Discussion
If her brother is shipping you, and she's the kind of person who'd let him know who she likes, it probably means she's told him she's interested in you. I struggle to see a brother knowingly shipping a sibling with someone other than their crush. Other than that, basically what Ookla the Incorrigible said. You should pay attention and measure your romantic inclinations around her. If they aren't significant, chances are you shouldn't date. -
"Guide my hand" would work with the appropriate mental picture. It'd be great for me because I can't use a sword, so having one that does all the heavy lifting would be great. Plus I could be like Inigo Montoya finding the Pits of Despair

The Official Thread of Relationships
Bugsy replied to Curious Anamaximder's topic in General Discussion
When you say 'started', do you mean it has become a regular thing, or that it was a one time occurrence and you 'started' doing it once? If it's the former, you should probably talk about it. It's a good indication that they're either interested in you or very comfortable with you. Since you have all the context clues, it's up to you to figure out which If it's the latter, it's probably a bit too late to bring it up. 3 months is probably too long of a time to comment on something like that without it becoming awkward. Then again, (s)he could possibly be stuck in the same situation. Has (s)he indicated any interest in you outside of that? Edit: I just realized you didn't mention if you were interested in them. It seems like you're unsure. That somewhat complicates the situation -
Long Game 28: The Awakening at the House on the Hill
Bugsy replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I'm not saying we shouldn't explore. I'm just saying Assassin's rationale was that we need to find the heart, which had been brought up and shot down numerous times. We can't find the heart until we kill our first elim, so his support for exploring on that basis even after it was revealed as inherently flawed numerous times seemed suspicious to me- 980 replies

Long Game 28: The Awakening at the House on the Hill
Bugsy replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Shoot. Sorry for my inactivity, everyone. I forgot I was in the game. I'll read up and post thoughts Edit: Ok, after scanning the last cycle, I'm most suspicious of Assassin. He continued to advocate exploring on the same fundamentally flawed basis of finding the heart that we've been trying to correct since before the game started. It seemed a little forced to me, and I don't think he legitimately just missed that fact with how often it was mentioned. I'll try and think of some more, but those are my 2 cents for now- 980 replies

Hey, welcome to the forums! Most of us here are corrupting influences on our friends and families. I've only managed to convince 4 or so, but not for lack of trying Which books have you read so far? Which are your favorite? I've read all but rithmatist, and the original Mistborn trilogy is my favorite series, although it only narrowly beats SA and is narrowly beaten by Emperor's Soul What instrument do you play in band? (Also, you don't happen to be from Michigan? There's someone named Zoe in my school's band who reads Sanderson, which seems like a really big coincidence) Also, don't eat the cookies. They're dangerous

Hey, welcome to the forums! Always nice to see a longtime fan join. Have you read all of his works? What do you know about the Cosmere? Have you seen the news about the movie rights and Arcanum Unbounded? That game sounds really cool! What language(s) are you using for it? Also, let me know when it gets working, I'd be interested in downloading it Oh, and if anyone offers you a cookie, don't accept

We can't find the heart until we kill the first elim. It might be smarter to wait until we find one to explore more, but I really don't see that happening.- 980 replies

Bugsy replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hello, everyone! I'm in APUSH, so I'll make this quick My message said I was annoyed Locke was claiming finder's credit for my discovery. I thought that meant Locke had found the other one, but it didn't I'm having a hard time developing reads right now, since I only managed to skim the past 3 pages- 980 replies

Long Game 28: The Awakening at the House on the Hill
Bugsy replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I discovered one of the omens. I belive I was told who else found one, too, but I'm not sure (it was rather cryptic) Edit: Nevermind, the other name was referencing the writeup- 980 replies

Long Game 28: The Awakening at the House on the Hill
Bugsy replied to Wyrmhero's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Hello, everyone! Sorry I haven't posted yet, I've been rather busy this weekend. I've put in an order to explore and have skimmed the thread so far. I agree that we should lynch inactives first, for the most part. I can try to put more tomorrow, but I'm going to sleep now- 980 replies
