  1. Kelsier tilted his head slightly, hearing the screams. He flaired his bronze, picking up the faint pulse of hemalurgy from the other end of the corridor. So they were playing with spikes, were they? Interesting, but not surprising. Either way, it didn’t currently concern him. Shrugging, Kelsier left the building. He’d done what he came here to do, after all. Besides, he could always come back.
  2. Kelsier nodded, getting up. “Great. If he’s up for the meet give the message to the bartender. Tell him it’s for the Marewill gang. One of our people will pick it up, and then we’ll contact you again.” He opened the door, heading toward the building’s exit. “Nice doing business, gents. Hopefully we’ll be seeing a lot more of each other - in a good way, o’ course.”
  3. Can we give up and you just tell us?
  4. Kelsier smirked. “Great. So first, we’d appreciate it if you didn’t attack any more of our safe houses or our people or people under our protection. Optics, you understand. We look bad if we can’t protect our own, right?” He smiled disarmingly. ”And second, my boss wants to arrange a meet with yours. Hash this whole misunderstanding out. That’s the real reason I’m here; I’m the twixt.” He grinned, settling himself on the edge of the desk. “So, can you tell him?”
  5. Kelsier smirked, tugging at his shirt to expose the stylized flower in the space between his shoulder and chest. (It’s on the upper part of the pectoral, near where the muscle reaches the shoulder.) ”Master Thaidakar sent me,” he explained. “I have a message for your boss. Think you can pass it on?”
  6. Kelsier turned the information over in his head. A lot of names, few of which were Scadrian. He made special note of those that were, storing them under a separate index. Having finished that task, he slipped out of the closet again, returning to adolescence as he tapped the remaining man on the shoulder. “Hey. Got a message for you.”
  7. Kelsier scanned the various pages and files. He could tell these people weren’t used to this system; they left too many holes. Within seconds Kelsier had memorized every piece of information he could get on the computer. Smiling, he returned to his cabinet.
  8. Kelsier froze time, exiting the cabinet, careful to shut it behind him. Then he began moving with steelspeed, dropping the bubble as he did. A moment later he was back at the computer, bubble up once more. Time to see what these people had.
  9. Multiple cats. And Kell owns a dog. At least by Era 3 they do...
  10. Mistborn
  11. Kelsier smiled sadly. “You don’t understand my brother at all, do you? He’s a good man, unlike me. He sees you as a victim: first to Ruin, then Harmony. He was the one who objected to Sazed’s control of you long before I became aware of it. ”He knows you don’t like him though, so he sent me.”
  12. That assumes Adonalsium had a Vessel. That’s a highly debated topic.
  13. Kelsier smiled warmly at Aspen. “I hear you’ve made your choice. Maybe not the one I wanted, but I’m glad all the same. “You may want to reach out to my brother some time, by the way,” he added. “Marsh was worried about you; it’s why I was even here.” He gently placed Zola down, surreptitiously handing her the chocolate spike. “She wanted to say hi, too.” @Condensation
  14. Kelsier suppressed a yawn. The problem with being so young was how easy it was to get tired. You were either exhausted or super energized with no in-betweens.
  15. Kelsier watched through the crack where the cabinet doors met. Computer, huh? They would need their own power source for that; the drain would be noticeable if they took it from an established grid. Not that Weathering even had an electrical grid to draw on. Which meant that these people had managed to create a power plant without him, his people, his brother, and Sazed noticing. This does not bode well, Kelsier thought irritably. Just what I needed: another conspiracy infiltrating Scadrial. The Set was annoying enough, distracting him from his work across the Cosmere. Scadrial came first though. This world was Kelsier’s to Preserve.
  16. Kelsier sighed, tapping steel again. He sped around the men, tapping more of his youth as he entered the office. Being a child had its downsides, but it did mean he could hide in some very small spaces. Like the space between the dusty files on the shelves in the rarely used cabinet in the far corner of the office.
  17. Kelsier listened to the sound of their footsteps fading. Then he froze time and exited the closet. Once he was certain he wasn’t being watched, he let the bubble drop. Silently, he shadowed the two men.
  18. To their base, hopefully. I may not be able to speak for a bit. Kelsier tapped his speed, moving faster than the eye could follow. He ducked through the door as it opened, dodging around the frozen men and down the corridor. He slipped into a nearby closet, closing the door behind him.
  19. Kelsier froze time as they transformed, focusing on the pulse they emitted as they did. He dropped the bubble and followed. Steel let him match their speed. Bronze and steelsight let him track them. These people had attacked his. It was time to find out who they were and what they wanted.
  20. Kelsier rolled his eye, dropping some coins on the bar. He raised the mug, finishing off his drink.
  21. Kelsier pushed his tankard toward the bartender, claiming a filled mug in its place. Carefully he compounded his memory, retaining every detail of the encounter and the two men involved.
