  1. Eryn shook her head. “Ladashwy kill. We,” she pointed to herself and KePuur, “hold down.” She frowned slightly as she watched twice. He had not been present a moment before and she had not seen him enter. A puzzle, of sorts. ”Where you came from? Not here, then here. But did not see.”
  2. Ollivander clapped his hands, smiling delightedly. “Excellent, excellent! Do try not to cause too much mischief. ”Now for you,” he turned to David. “Mahogany and dragon heartstring, 12 & 1/3rd inches. Give it a try.” @Narcoleptic Axolotl
  3. Nope. Proper, very noble sounding French. Y’know, the kind of accent modern Scadrians would think sounds like those stuffy professors who insist on proper diction. Which amuses and irritates Kell by turns, as his childhood tutors despaired of teaching him to speak ‘properly’, but to modern ears he sounds quite ‘proper.’
  4. You can choose how much memory you store though. This also makes Fullborn so obscenely terrifying. Store allomantic ability X in Nicrosil. Compound. Reclaim your far more powerful ability.
  5. I don’t think Mraize can be excused. He would know that Lift’s psychological and physical ages don’t match up. Plus, he knows how adulthood is calculated on Roshar. He gets a pass only if it turns out the theory that he’s a Sleepless is correct. Considering that they seem to struggle with understanding ordinary human psychology, I can understand a Sleepless not understanding that Lift is far more child-like than your average Rosharan 14 year old.
  6. Apparently you can’t store it all.
  7. It can also be interesting to notice when Brandon changes his answers. For example: Brandon stated several times that Kelsier was unlikely to appear in SA. From 2019 forward, since he started plotting SA4&5 and writing RoW, he’s RAFOd it instead. Personal theory: when plotting the two books he moved the Thaidakar reveal from KOWT to RoW. So we can actually learn things by seeing which answers he’s changed from yeses or nos to RAFOs.
  8. I think a lot would depend on how it’s presented. It occurred to me a little while ago that Kelsier wouldn’t perceive 15 1/2 year old (by Scadrian years) Lift as a child. He’d see her a young woman and capable combatant. Unless he specifically knew about Lift’s psychology, he has no reason to treat her any differently than another combatant. Remember: he comes from a time where no one questioned 15 year old Spook being a spy or 16 year old Vin being a spy and assassin. Demoux wasn’t much older and he led an army platoon. And once you consider that Kelsier doesn’t recognize that Lift is still a child, well, then how unhappy he’d be with Mraize’s actions becomes a lot more questionable. Probably not thrilled, but I doubt he’d be that upset. Especially since a Mraize made sure Lift wouldn’t be killed.
  9. You’re welcome.
  10. Please remove the RoW spoiler. Chaos just reminded us to be careful.
  11. Brandon once said we’d seen the proto-Ghostbloods, the Ghostbloods before they were Ghostbloods. So: Kelsier, Spook, Breeze and Ham. Possibly Alriane and Beldre. And I still think Spook invented the name as a joke and, much to everyone’s dismay, it somehow stuck.
  12. Or it’s just an Easter egg.
  13. He likes secrets, yes. But he’s surprisingly honest about himself. His autonomous nature and his constant striving against his bonds make him very much a Willshaper. Still more likely to attract a Cryptic though, but better suited to the latter Order.
  14. I believe Era 2 takes place in the gap between SA 5&6. And Era 3 around 50-70 years after Era 2. But I could be misremembering the latter.
  15. Ollivander quickly snatched the wand away, handing over another and another building up a small mountain of wands. AlFufteen minutes later he handed Silk yet another wand. “Dogwood and phoenix feather, 9 and 5/8ths inches. Strong, but flexible. Give it a try.”
  16. I hope not, lol! He’d have done a very bad job; he gets bored too easily.
  17. Um... No, we’re starting on Sunday. Remember? I can’t do competitions on Friday/Saturday because of Shabbos. Or Hoid can have three days starting now and mine can start on Sunday. This is my first competition, so I doubt you’d have seen me in the finals before. If you mean the character, no he hasn’t. His writers tend to drop out.
  18. Kelsier has access to Breath. I don’t know if he has any personally, but he certainly has access. Like he has access to Aviar and Seons. The South literally calls him the Sovereign. sovereign noun [ C ] US /ˈsɑːv.rən/ UK /ˈsɒv.ər.ɪn/ sovereign noun [C] (RULER) a king or queen From the Cambridge English dictionary sovereign noun /ˈsɒvrɪn/ /ˈsɑːvrɪn/ (formal) a king or queen The Tongan sovereign is head of state and exercises executive power. The islands are ruled by a governor, representing the British sovereign. Oxford English Dictionary When used as a title Sovereign ALWAYS means ruler. When used as a noun it usually means the same. But definitions aside: ““Eyes like icicles,” Allik said, “drilling into me from behind.” He spoke more loudly. “The Sovereign was our king from three centuries ago.“” Bands of Mourning Yes, Kelsier was/is the ruler of the South. That much is pretty clear. I have no idea how he managed it considering how bad he was at administration.
  19. I think Kell was trying to prevent the desolation. If you look closely, you’ll notice that a lot of the GBs actions have helped the coalition. I don’t think that’s an accident. We know they don’t want Odium winning, but they aren’t ready to make a direct enemy of him. So they’re helping in their own roundabout way... very, very quietly.
  20. Um... he told us Kelsier was dead a few times before HoA and not coming back which was very much a lie seeing as all three books were written together. He referred to the blade that killed Shallan’s mother as ‘he’ several times, despite Testament being female. This is really more minor; he obviously switched where he planned to mention the king.
  21. Kell is definitely hiding things from Saze. It’s pretty clear that Kell was aware of Odium’s threat before Sazed was. That said, I doubt they’re actively at odds. Just working in different manners to protect their home. And I doubt Kelsier is leading the Set. Involved? Of course he is. He’s probably got several people infiltrating them.
  22. And Fullborn can theoretically compound allomantic chromium and duralumin, allowing them to kill the Spren.
  23. In other words, it’s a different element. But if you manipulate it on the atomic level you can transform it into a different element. Which we’ve done IRL.
  24. I believe those were described as alloys. Harmonium is a different element from Atium and Lerasium.
  25. Fullborn have chromium. With that they can theoretically kill the Radiant’s Spren.
