  1. Eryn led Drae to the office where Raven still stood. “Meens used sooth or riot to control. Need you break.”
  2. The mine cart retreated back up the winding rails, eventually emerging in the bank. ”Guess its time for that tour,” Kelsier said cheerfully. He’d never admit it, but he was glad to get out of the dark.
  3. Eryn nodded. “Zola is responsible child. Come.”
  4. Thanks you! Right now I’m leaning toward leaving this one open for now as a showcase, as the other thread is more a story about the individual cards and their particular symbology and meaning. Would that be alright?
  5. Eryn nodded. “Will need Drae help. Steal Soother control. Zola,” she turned to the girl. “Important job. Ladashwi not kill before and now shock. Want you to watch her. Make sure she not do foolish thing.”
  6. “Is good miss,” Eryn told her. “Sharp senses not stop hurt.” Eryn turned to Drae, smiling. “Did good soothing. Made men flee?”
  7. Eryn shook her head irritably. “Were other enemy. Good they flee. Battle over now.”
  8. Eryn frowned when she saw the child. “Be still. Do not want harm to you.”
  9. Thanks AonEne! So after four years I started doing these again! I actually had a good reason for stopping: I initially worked on these while my older daughter was in a rehab facility. Mistborn and these cards really helped me through that. After things settled down I had other things to take care of, so I never got around to completing the cards. I’ve begun again and hopefully I’ll finish this time! Some aspects of the history have changed from the earlier posts so if you see a contradiction, that’s why. Let’s just pretend the researcher got more information, okay... So here we go: The Obligator (The Hierophant) The Obligator. I made this card four years ago, so I’m afraid I don’t recall the entire process. The Obligator, of course, is Yomen, the Last Obligator. In Tarot the Hierophant is a teacher, the male counterpart of the priestess. When upright he represents spiritual wisdom, religious beliefs, conformity, traditions, and institutions. Reversed he represents personal belief, freedom, and challenging the status quo. An interesting card all around, at least to me. Now, let’s see how much I can remember... The Atium bead on Yomen’s forehead symbolizes the future and his role as a teacher and guide. The Spear and Spike represent Survivorism and Sliverism, both of which are fairly formalized. Together the Spear and Spike traditionally represent the Survivor and Ironeyes. Above Yomen we have Preservation on the far left, Ruin on the far right, and Harmony between them. Preservation represents stability and Ruin change. A wise teacher will balance between the two, symbolized by Harmony who maintains balance between the Shards.
  10. Eryn cools wiped down the spike, before turning to Ledashwi. “Is hard, first kill. Rest. Recover. Where child?”
  11. @The Unknown Order This okay with you? If yes: Eryn pulled the spike from the man’s chest and he promptly stopped healing. “Well done.”
  12. “Listen.” Eryn said sharply. “Fix in mind: want feruchemic gold. Feruchemic gold. Then stab through heart. We hold.”
  13. Eryn smiled grimly. “Can you kill?” @The Unknown Order Suggestion: the other three criminals fled the scene and are now headed toward where Zola is waiting outside?
  14. Eryn looked up as Sage returned. She had... a spike? It didn’t matter. ”Spike,” Eryn snapped. “What metal?”
  15. Eryn grabbed the gun, crushing it under her fingers. Then she slammed her hand into the man’s head again.
  16. Eryn ran as soon as the Kandra moved, slamming her fist into the compounder’s skull crushing it. She left her fist there as the skull reformed, then pulled it free destroying it again. ”Can you remove his metalminds while I keep him busy?” She asked the Kandra.
  17. The picture in the frame doesn’t. It looks like a painting and it’s made with the same oil pastels. Here is some crayon art: Like I said, crayons are for melting down and dripping on canvas.
  18. Eryn slammed her fist into the Steelrunner as he slowed. Mist swirled around her as her fist his sternum... and kept going, through the breastbone, into his chest, shattering the spine and emerging from his back. Eryn whirled with supernatural speed, her human shield, still stuck to her arm, taking the bullets aimed at her. Good. She’d rather avoid using her bracelet. Mist rose from Eryn’s body as she burned pewter, shimmering in the cool air of the cavern. Wearing her mask, covered in blood, a shattered corpse sliding off her arm, she looked like nothing so much as a demon out of legend.
  19. Eryn scowled. Zola was safe; she would have to commend Ledashwi. For now, it seemed she would have fight. The Steelrunner would have to be first. Fortunately he did not seem capable of compounding. Eryn pretended to cower as he drew near, then flaired her pewter.
  20. Brief rant: Oil pastels are not crayons!!!! Example: That is oil pastel. You cannot do that with mere crayons. Crayons are for melting down to drip on canvas wi- wait, what do you mean that’s not how you use crayons? (That is totally how I use crayons.) Rant end. I’m basically trying to create a history for Tarot on Scadrial. Started as a game and then became used for divination. The rest I’m figuring out as I go. It’s a lot of fun!
