  1. That... Is a good point. Given that I don't see much even in this cycle that resembles a team mate protecting Elandera, we should probably avoid lynching them.
  2. But then they could access Shamrock's power and break the restrictions
  3. Thank you for the mention, although I don't know a lot about play writing. *runs off to go read it Nicely done. You have an interesting story going down here, I would be interested to see how it turns out. Personally, I didn't find the exposition to be particularly an issue. I will bring up though that you could tweak how people say things, to make it more in character. Right now, the word choice of all the characters feels very similar, and sometimes a little out of place in how formal it sounds. Maybe tailor the diction a little more closely to each character? Just my two cents.
  4. Itiah mentioned this in the PM, yes. I kind of disagree that this stragey should be used, both because the information might be unreliable and because I'm not entirely sure that sort of information ought to be used in a game as a matter of principle. However, the fact that they wanted to use this strategy is another factor in my deciding they weren't evil, and I am fairly convinced of that.
  5. You know, armory's powers are a decent source of raw materials, and could be used to make some pretty cool looking buildings
  6. If anything, I'd want Fluke's powers to fail at the most critical times, just for the laughs, but it's actually quite possible for it to be properly random, just by consulting random.org whenever Fluke tries to do anything. As for omnipotence, I wouldn't really call it that because all epic powers seem to be limited in scale (except for the rumored ability to blow up the universe, anyways... that could be problematic). I would gladly pick a smaller subset of abilities than "all epic powers" though. I intend for them to be unreliably powerful, but not in ways that could be exploited, and usually pretty useless. Edit: Lol what if they only got powers according to certain astrological events?
  7. Hmmm I like the memory epic. If they knew all of their powers, I'd say call them Lethe. This is another double meaning Not only does the river Lethe erase memories, but it specifically takes memories from the spirits of the dead. Also, a Reckoner's Cell in Edmonton sounds fun. On another note, some minor epics: Armory: Can summon any medieval weapon (or part of a weapon) that isn't too big/heavy to hold in his hands. Fluke: Can attempt to use any epic power in existence, but doing so has a 50% chance of horribly backfiring and doing the exact opposite of what they wanted (for example, trying to heal themselves from an injury could result in the injury becoming twice as severe). Mime: Has the ability to create an invisible forcefield of 3x3m in front of them by miming it out. Can only create one such barrier at a time.
  8. Sorry for not clearing that up sooner; the upshot is that Itiah didn't even know I had another vote on me. Their explanation seemed genuine and I believe them.
  9. So uh. If two people were attacked, that implies coinshotting. The attack feels kind of indiscriminate. I'm going to guess that most likely, an elim mistborn rolled steel. Also, Elandera, out of curiousity, why would you avoid claiming pewter until after being lynched? There should be more to go off of now, so I'll see what I can come up with.
  10. I considered making an epic whose weakness is other epics... In a world where epics are the primary danger, it’s a pretty rational and common fear I would think These look fun. I approve. Are contagion’s abilities actually transmitted by a microbe or does it just affect people in the vicinity?
  11. I have Epoch/Quietus, Blindside, and Lorri each in different factions (Blindside is freelance at the beginning, but might team with one of the other newcomers). A lot can happn in a few days, when epics are involved... Also, we have a ready-made timeskip plot device on hand if we ever need it Newton's third law. You can't move yourself without also moving another object. Even if you pull on an object anchored to the ground, and it looks like it doesn't move, that's just because the entire earth moved a tiny bit. If the metal sheet isn't moving, you won't move either. It sounds like he's all bark and no bite Actually though, that looks like a fun power and theme. This feels somewhat reminiscent of Skitter. Which isn't a bad thing. She even has a black spider silk costume. Edit: On the note of character concepts, I edited another one into my post. I really do have too many of those XD. But all of the ones past Pariah have yet to be introduced in any way they are just potential character ideas.
  12. I will say something very evil. Behold: "I am just as evil as you are." (this will be awkward if you flip elim) In the spirit of laying down a vote... Earlier I said Elandera gave me doubts but that I wouldn't want to lynch them on the first cycle. It isn't the first cycle anymore. Not super confident about this lynch though so I'm not going to stop looking for suspects now that I've voted.
  13. For a moderator/GM, I would also support Comatose. Or you. I say you decide who they work for using RNG, with one or more possible outcomes being that they are their own faction. And that they are whatever kind of epic you think you would most enjoy writing about I kind of want to read some of the old RP more seriously. There's also a lot there Someday I'll read all the way through one of the threads.
  14. For what it's worth, I naturally shared your concern about Itiah voting to lynch me, but Itiah also explained their vote to me a little more in PM and I found the explanation more or less satisfactory.
  15. Anything touch-based tends to be given a Striker designation. Might be a Striker/Blaster though, like Foil (can touch objects to make them penetrate anything, and used the power on crossbow bolts). I'm pretty sure about Neverthere's Master designation though, because it's a projection power, and in Worm those are all Master designations, even if the parahuman is capable of gathering information from their minions. The Brute designation for Magmaw is for being fireproof. Magmaw's ability to transform into lava would absolutely be a breaker power if they can also transform back. If not, it might still be Breaker 1 or something, not sure. The PRT's ratings are not necessarily logical. Most of the classifications are poorly defined. Master powers could let you control/influence people (Regent, Canary, Khepri), animals (Taylor, Rachel, Felix Swoop), or in one case cars (Mockshow), or they might let you create one or more projections (Prism, Crusader, Siberian). Striker powers could be melee attacks (Grace), weapon creation (Brandish, Chevalier) unless the weapon came from your body, then it's a Changer power and not a Striker power (Marquis), or anything touch-based (Othala, Clockblocker, Panacea). And Shakers can mean literally anything, ranging from a personal forcefield (Lady Photon) to uncontrollably sending random chunks of matter in your vicinity into a random parallel universe (Scrub). It's fun to kill time speculating what the PRT ratings. But they don't necessarily make sense
  16. 1. Yes, I just read Magmaw's powers to give a PRT threat evaluation I don't get the impression that the way Voidus currently has Magmaw would let them do something on that scale, but Voidus could allow that to be a thing if they wanted. 2. I believe it was Comatose's idea, so probably their call on how the epic is implemented. 3. I'm easy on the location. The old townhouse looks good though. Where are other people setting up? If Epoch was set up in the townhouse to get maximum coverage, he would probably have the plethora of golf coarses along the river banks cannibalized into accelerated agricultural space. Oooh, nice.
  17. Ah, my thanks. And yep, the writeup RP is not to fully be trusted, which is why I bring up the possibility.
  18. Changer powers pertain to shapeshifting, either altering your appearance, or creating weapons from your body like Red or Machete can do. There is a character in Worm who can borrow powers named Grue, and he has a Trump 6 or 7 classification. I gave Borrower a little higher than that because it's significantly easier to hold on to a stolen power for Borrower than it was for Grue. In the Wormverse, I could envision somebody with Borrower's power joining a powerful team of other parahumans such as the Triumvirate, the Slaughterhouse Nine, or Cauldron, and becoming ridiculously OP. What if that was how the constellations were created? In the vicinity of the memory epic, you could see the ghostly glowing rain falling up from the ground around them, into the sky... And that is how the magical constellations got up there in the first place? Epoch would tentatively agree to shelter them. Partially as a way to get at Orbit, partially in the hopes of recruiting them. Your call if they ask him, though. It seems to me that the most intuitive resolution of their powers is that Creator's ability has no difficulty manipulating bloodlit objects, and can rearrange them as he pleases, but after he makes changes they would slowly start to revert as the bloodlit object pieces itself back together. Also, can I ask a few questions about how Creator's power works? What range does it work in? Does it work on living things? Would they be capable of deconstructing another person in a few seconds at long range? Also, I had another random idea for a power that alters the city in some way. I think we might have enough of those already, but I'll just put this out there anyhow. What about a power that warps the city's topography? Possibly something that manipulates magma in a similar way to how Regalia could manipulate water, allowing them to slowly change the elevation of areas. With sustained effort and time they could push up small mountains, or create valleys. They could have raised a part of the city up on a big plateau or something, claiming that part of the city as their territory.
  19. Huh, apparently I was up for lynch. Alv, what kind of animal crackers do the RNG prefer? Also Rae your parodies continue to be great. So ah... No elim kills. A 3 elim team seems most likely. 4 would be a bit much, unless the village got a really generous role distribution, which I'm pretty sure we didn't (you'll have to PM me and trade to get my own role, but I will say that a significant sample of the people I've already role swapped with are vanilla). I don't believe all of the elims are inactive. They probably have a fair bit of power roles. I have a few reasons to believe this: Probably some of the elims wanted to use their power roles, and had a designated killer who was either vanilla or had a power they didn't need. And that one person forgot. This seems a lot more likely than all 3 of them forgetting. A 3 elim team is a little light (25% is a common rule of thumb and this is 20%), and role distribution is a very likely way to balance that. A totally vanilla elim team seems unlikely. Thematically, spikes give powers, so it makes sense. Maybe they got one vanilla, maybe they have all powers, but I'm pretty sure we are dealing with 3 elims, with at least 2 power roles. I'd say there's an above average chance that one of their roles is a smoker, and a pretty decent chance that they have either a vote manip or a mistborn, or both. Idk what the soother on Bort was doing. I also don't remember Bort voting on himself though. Have we checked that he actually did vote on himself, and wasn't rioted and soothed at the same time or something? Also Bort could have self-soothed possibly, although the writeup implies otherwise. Anyway, that's all kind of a tangent because alignments matter a lot more than roles. But I'll get to that. At some point.
  20. Oh dear. I'll have to invent an epic with an ability to index all those
