  1. The truth is, Frozen Mint is actually the Gryffindor Prefect. Both me and Ink were running interference to throw off the elims. I think Miss Fallen and TJ are probably both elims and on the same team.
  2. The truth is, I'm actually the Prefect. Ink has been covering for me/Aman to throw off the elims. I've continued to be misleading about the identity of the Prefect because I usually don't respond well to getting questioned immediately on subbing into a game But the truth must come out at this point. I will prove it by using Stupefy on TJ today. Stupefy is probably the best spell for the village if you ask me. Also, I've rethought some things and I now think the most likely explanation is TJ obliviated Doc and then truthfully reported that one of the Prefects obliviated Doc. Sorry for the confusion. ʎɐp s,looɟ lıɹdɐ ʎddɐɥ
  3. you know, if y'all keep saying that, based on earlier kill patterns, I'm totally gonna die it's fine though que sera sera still not sure which of you or Coco is evil, I will continue to chew on this. Actually, a thought: do we really know for sure that Order of Actions would guarantee that Grass couldn't have obliviated Doc? Why should Coco's obliviate have gone before Grass' obliviate, if they're the same spell?
  4. ...you know what I think either Coco and Grass are both evil together or Ink is behold: I found some elims they're definitely in there somewhere
  5. this is kind of weird, because obliviate says right in the single-sentence description that people don't ever get notified even I remember that and I barely read the rules, Coco is claiming to have actually used the spell idk cynic!Drake wants to weigh in that this is obvious fishing for a clear you can act confident with requesting evidence that would "prove" whether or not you're telling the truth, knowing that this evidence isn't actually provided in the rules ...but why would evil Coco claim to have obliviated Grass, thus thinning an already thin suspect pool even further? asdfghjk why we can just kill Coco after Ink if Ink flips village it really is between Coco and Ink, I'd say TJ is village if you ask me which you didn't but I'm telling you anyways that Tj is village aaaaaaa
  6. Yes, but why did you choose Obliviate as your spell? As I understand it, this decision is permanent for the rest of the game, so I'd like to know where you were at with that.
  7. yeah agreed Coco, are you trying to pocket me be honest you'd tell me if you were trying to pocket me, right? so the prefects are Coco, TJ, Grass, Ink Afaik Coco claims to have obliviated Grass (for the record, why'd you choose obliviate as your spell by the way?) this should mean Grass cannot have obliviated Doc unless Coco/Grass are E/E so we might as well limit the suspect pool to <Coco, TJ, Ink> because it looks like 1 of them has to be evil here does that track?
  8. The Drake Fairy wandered around the castle, surrounded by others wearing similar clothes. They milled about in small groups, chatting or hurrying with purpose from one end of the castle to another. She sighted an odd transparent-looking fellow, but nobody seemed to think the apparition was out of place, so she followed their example. She was going to keep her head down and blend in. The trick was to look like she knew where she was going. There was a big glass building full of plants that caught her eye. She decided it was as good a destination as any. She made her way over to it, and nobody stopped her. She opened the door to the greenhouse and tentatively stepped in. A professor glared at her from the front of the room, and she quailed under the scrutiny, worried someone would finally notice that she didn’t belong. But the professor just grumbled something about tardy students and looked away. She quickly sat down in the corner and feigned extreme interest in a potted plant, avoiding eye contact with anyone while straining to listen. Was this a classroom of some kind, then? er, not that I think it's very likely, but just to enumerate all the options, whoever relayed Doc's Owl Mail could also be evil and lying, right? hey I'm feeling pretty sure I'm village too, good read, you are smart edit: I slightly like that you're down to just vote the other people in the suspect pool which you're a part of. I think elims are sometimes nervous about doing that, and prefer to cast doubt on the validity of the suspect pool instead of acknowledging it. Kinda interesting that the elims created this suspect pool by killing Doc. Though I guess maybe they weren't sure that Doc would self-protect, if we only figured out he did that via post-mortem messaging. edit2: ...it's actually pretty funny because the suspect pool for this would be larger if the elims hadn't been assiduously killing anyone who might've gotten Extra Credit
  9. actually, jebiga TUM face my mildly-attenuated-second-place-wrath for weighing in on the Optimal Voting Communication Strategy without voting today maybe u don't care about Optimal Voting Communication Strategy but u still talked about it u haven't even talked about any reads today, not that I know of do u care about that even less tremble and perish in the face of my dreadful mildly-attenuated-second-place-wrath edit: Current VC, I think (6-9) Coco: TJ (2-3), Wahr (1-3), Drake (3) (2-4) Grass: Wahr (1-3), TJ (1) (2-3) Ink: TJ (2-3) (2) TUM: Drake (2) (1-3) Hopper: Wahr (1-3) edit 2: electric boogaloo so is the deal today that one of the Prefects must be evil? From what I've gathered, Doc claimed he would self-protego but then died? And people think an elim Prefect must've Obliviated him? Is that a correct summary?
  10. Then y'all can put all 3 of your names in red if you must I don't think the mindgames are really worth it, not for every single vote, but I won't stop you I just think color-coding of some kind could make voting more obvious the tradition was never only for the GMs benefit, it's for your fellow players to more easily see votes as well. ...regardless, I don't think it matters that much either. Forget about planning to optimally spread about the pressure, right now there just plain isn't enough pressure. I'm not too concerned about how we communicate our votes, but we should hopefully be on the same page that we should communicate our votes somehow. Wahr and TJ are the only other people whose votes I know from reading the thread. Aman is gone, and you've got me to reckon with now instead you have my permission to scream in horror and/or run to the woods oh I'm pretty good at it
  11. yeah it’s fair to say I might’ve been exaggerating your position a little still not really a fan because I think “5 people rank this person as one of their top trusts” is actually a pretty robust reason to trust them, and we probably shouldn’t throw it away at the first sign of trouble. I mistrust the impulse. but don’t worry, the day is yet young I’m sure I’ll have more reads to act on before nightfall
  12. I know colored votes in-thread won't be counted, but I kind of want to institute it anyway, for readability. Let's say that a name in red is for -3, orange is for -2, yellow is for -1. We could do the same for + votes and color-code those as well, but I kind of prefer to keep it simple. In my view, the negative votes are actually a lot more important. Or maybe I'm just a negative person idk edit: also I'd kind of rather use cool colors to signal retracting negative votes, which is what they usually signify, instead of casting positive votes Honestly, I think that if you had a cycle where you were surprised by the outcome, then the voting discussion has been too opaque and analysis is probably suffering. We should strive to demystify it as much as possible. I mean you all can do what you want obviously. I'm not your parents. But as for me personally, I'm going to be color-coding my votes in this game I suppose. Let's get cracking. Coco, face my wrath for being 2nd or 3rd place on the chopping block for 2 days in a row and scraping by, and for sounding maybe just a little too eager about executing consensus trusted players that don't die immediately. I've forgiven you for LG110, I promise
  13. Alright Qian just was a lot of people's second choice I guess I assume y'all spent most of your time talking about your first choices (edit: though there was also just not a lot of those) Anyways, I find it interesting that both nights the top + voted player got offed by the elims. Do we think this is e!TJ rising the ranks or is the trusted pool of players clean and the elims just want to kill their way through it
  14. oh. well, was there vote manip? I should really read about that real quick
  15. flatterer Aman's cool though In the Gryffindor PM, Aman has previously stated Protego is the most useful spell for the village I tend to agree So did Ink, for that matter Do with that what you will. I will be honest, none of these spells strike me as incredibly game-changing, so I will personally be mostly just focusing on the votes. But if a protect goes off successfully, that's cool. Aman village-read Ink and sounded like he was elim-reading Mint at some point. My admittedly very cursory read of the Gryffindor PM made me want to village read Mint and I have no particular Ink read. Anyways, I gather there's been one (1) vote so far and it flipped a villager Not a lot to go off but it's better than zero flips! Hopper and Coco were both tied for second place, only trailing Araris by a little bit, but it doesn't hit quite the same as a normal vote. I'm not sure that we can say it was a 'contested' vote or what. I guess I'll need to backread some for context. I'm a little tempted to vote the people who generally voted last cycle but didn't pick a -3 option, because it offends my sensibilities, but that's probably a me problem
  16. oh shoot you're right, I meant to say villager disregard please
  17. It looks like 48 hour cycles so I’ll be back in a few hours Oh, yes. Ink may be the prefect.
  18. "The mask you hold in your hands, it has just enough power. Give it to me, and I will use it to send you home." "Oh," Squircle sighed, relieved. "Yeah, sure, that sounds like a fair deal. It didn't even do what it was meant to. I'm not sure why I held onto the useless thing for so long. You can have it.” He offered up the Drake Mask to the Great Fairy. She floated down to take it in her hands. "A bargain is struck. With this, I will return you h- ha..." The Great Fairy finished donning the Drake Mask. "HAHAHAHAHAHA!" she suddenly roared, throwing her head back in laughter. "I can't believe it actually worked! Haha... I'm a Great Fairy now!! The universe is my oyster!" The masked face suddenly zeroed in on Squircle, as if noticing him for the first time. "Oh, it's you. Thanks, friend! You did me a solid here." Squircle opened his mouth to speak, but the Fairy cut him off. "As promised, off you pop!" she snapped her fingers and a portal opened up beneath Squircle, and he fell through. "I'm kinda new at this, but I'm pretty sure that leads to your home world! Probably!!" The portal closed, and the Fairy was breathing heavily. That kind of magic didn't come cheap, and she really was in a weakened state. Sadly, she doubted the stray fairies were compatible anymore, so she’d have to live with it. Maybe she could still manage another jump today, though... Things seemed like they were calming down in Terminus. And she'd always been somewhat curious about what other worlds were like… She dug deep, and tore open another portal. Without anything specific to guide it, it was hard to say where it would take her. “So long and thanks for all the rupees.” She flew straight through, and the portal winked out of existence behind her. Suddenly, a portal opened, and a strange masked fairy plummeted through and landed in an unceremonious heap. She groaned. This world felt… different. The good news is that there was still plenty of magic. The bad news is that it felt… slippery. She instinctively reached for magic, but it felt sluggish to answer. Probably why her flying was going haywire. She groaned again, longer and even more put-upon. Finally, she got up and took stock of the situation. On one side, there was a forest. On the other, a vast and ostentatious castle loomed. A tower reached for the heavens, and she was right at the foot of it. She was alone. Well, not quite. There a human, but he was very dead. “Murdered,” she decided. “Well. This is going to be quite hard to explain if anyone walks in on me.” The Drake Fairy examined the body critically. “Well, in for a penny, in for a pound.” She started rifling through the body’s possessions. Maybe there was something useful… “Aha!” She brandished a wand triumphantly in the air, and the wind stirred as she moved it. Magic finally answered like it should. This felt right. She intuited that this was how you were supposed to access magic in this world. She exulted in this breakthrough for a moment, but she tempered it with the knowledge that there was still a lot more to figure out about this. It would be very convenient if there was some sort of magic school nearby where she could learn more. That was more than enough dallying around a fresh murder scene, though. She had to fit in around here. With the pilfered wand in hand, a bit of glamour was probably doable. Glamour came naturally to fairies, after all. Some time later, a short, wingless, and mostly human-looking girl outfitted in a very convincing facsimile of Hogwarts student robes stepped out of the woods.
  19. well I’m okay with that didn’t feel very sure about Coco v Twin anyhow well played Coco o7
  20. Coco you’d tell us if you were evil wouldn’t you
  21. Well, who is it if it’s not TwinStorm, is the question I think we still have the 3 elims in <Burnt, Doc, Mistfallen, Hael, Coco, TwinStorm> suspect pool Burnt and Doc are both flipped as evil, Hael and Mistfallen were both victims of faked evil scans by the former two from my pov Coco is the only real possibility left, and I think she’s probably village
