  1. I agree. I think Venli will kick off a rebellion among Odiums forces, and the runaway Singers will probably help with this.
  2. Simply put: if a Shardblade severs your arm or leg, can you awaken it?
  3. Its himself. Welcome to the forums!
  4. YES! I got spiked!
  5. Congrats @I think I am here. Yours was great! Good job the rest of you as well!
  6. Since we never saw Nale with Plate, I temporarily forgot that he had it. But it will be too uneven with Plate, so I edited the OP. For this fight he doesn’t have any.
  7. Racism towards Siah Aimians! I agree though. Everyone was good.
  8. I prefer Sel as world over Nalthis, but I want to see the story of Vasher, Vivenna and Nightblood pre-Stormlight. So its close, but I’d go Nightblood.
  9. I hope Rock will be a Bondsmith though. There are few other good candidates (Mr T and Rlain are the only ones I can come up with for now). Someone will need to unite the Horneaters and liberate the Oathgate. And he is defenitely guiding, as seen in his POV chapter in OB.
  10. If you vote for Axies, he will make Aimia great again.
  11. This is kinda interesting. Do you have an idea for where the different Heralds are?
  12. The fun thing about Adolin is that he would, personality-wise, fit in a whole bunch of orders. He could be a Stoneward, technically. He is stubborn and dependable, so that wouldn’t be out of the question. He could be a Windrunner as well. He protects and leads. Edgedancer would also work, as would Dustbringer, which was a very popular idea back in the days.
  13. I guess you mean Lopen. Polen is swedish for Poland.
  14. Honor is obviously backing humanity against Odium though. Otherwise he wouldn’t have sent the visions. And if I recall correctly, he was with the Listeners first. At some point, one of them failed the other.
  15. Odium was with the humans at the beginning though, and side-switched at some point. My gut tells me that the humans were the aggressors, because that is what makes the story morally complicated. The Listeners certainly aren’t saints, and there has defenitely been mistakes made on both sides though. Honor backing humanity is strange though. I agree there.
  16. Your first point makes sense from a story standpoint, and sounds like the kind of wrench or twist Brandon would throw in just to break Szeth a bit more. The Shamanate are still crem though. The Truthless system is a horrid thing and it is kinda stupid as well. Regarding the origins of the Shin, I agree in that they came from a different planet than the Ashynites, and I think they might have come before them as well. The idea about their attempts to live in the Listener tradition sounds compelling, although they have obviously developed their own cultural ideas as well, such as the Truthless system. In addition, the Shin decided to fight the Listeners at some point due to the fact that they worship the Heralds, have access to an Oathgate, and had Radiants. This doesn’t really disprove your theory though, but it might be worth mentioning. Good job!
  17. I removed Hoid and kept the others. Worst case scenario, we eliminate the Shards quickly. And I will also take the liberty to answer @goody153s question with: Stormfather. He already has kids running away from him to bond people, so why not to marry. Next question: Who is the worst parent?
  18. You don’t need to spoiler-tag OB-stuff in the Stormlight or Cosmere sections.
  19. In WoR, Mraize tells Shallan not to harm Amaram, because ”his life belongs to another”. So, who is this another? Guesses: -Kaladin: The most obvious one. But how would the Ghostbloods know of this? And why would they care? To them, Kaladin is just a good soldier. And if they knew of his KR-powers, why not seek him out? -Iyatil: She attempted to kill Amaram, after all. Maybe he did something against her. -Jasnah: Has a bad history with Amaram. But unlikely, because Mraize thought her dead at the time. -Dalinar: Maybe Mraize knew of Amarams lies, and felt that it would be good to have Amaram alive in order to let Dalinar have his vengeance. -Odium: Long shot, but we don’t know exactly when he started talking to Amaram. I think that it happened during OB, personally, and so I doubt this one. What do you guys think?
  20. We actually do see Ham fight, I believe. When Kelsier saves the prisoners, just before the Inquisitor fight. Otherwise, he adds depth, and also the role of general and ”main soldier guy”. For example, one character needs to train Yedens army in TFE, and one character needs to be in charge of the day-to-day routines of Elends army in HoA, especially when Demoux is gone.
  21. I still think Rock fits perfectly with being a Bondsmith. That said, you made a really good job with this, and I can now see him as a Lightweaver, even if Bondsmith is my favorite theory. Upvote!
  22. I think that would make it too easy. He could have one or two maybe.
  23. Not necessarily. Ponder that Kelsier kills Elend as quickly as you said. He would then have an automatic win ticket over the others.
  24. We haven´t had a fight thread for a while, and this matchup feels fun. So: Eshonai has Plate and Blade. Nale has his Honorblade and a knife. His spren has gone on a vacation, so he doesn´t have two Blades. For the same reason, he lacks Plate too. Elend has a sword, a coin pouch and metals. Wax has his standard guns, including the shotgun, and a filled metalmind. Kelsier has obsidian knives, a coin pouch and metals. Note that this is TFE Kelsier. Vivenna has a rope, a dead squirrel, a thousand breaths and her Blade. The metals, and Nales Stormlight, are enough for twenty minutes use. No atium allowed. Go!
  25. Here comes Axies!: This contest really has been great so far I´ve seen toastspren, roastspren and some stormin boastspren But now I´m here to attract some of my own Yes, studying is the reason I´ve come to this town I´m Axies the Collector and I´m here to collect The spren, the crown, and the names of those I beat next Speaking of beating, let´s begin with Taln Known for picking a fight And for having the most confusing identity in Stormlight Are you a Herald, a fraud or a Cognitive Shadow? No one cares, because you arrived a bit too late, bro The Desolation is here, and you are busy rambling If you had been clearer in the head we could have avoided a lot of scrambling But now you are here, and some think that´s worth toasting Me? I´m just happy you are here to hear my roasting! Then there´s Lightsong, Returned from the dead The guy who made his own priest shake his head Thought being divine was hard Despite the fact that you were resurrected by a Shard All you did was drink and yawn I found a disappointmentspren on your lawn I´m suffering from the Curse of Kind The only thing that haunts you is the inability to make your memory rewind And finally, hello Arclo! I always like seeing what your hordelings can do Both of us are aimians But only I have an actual aim Philosophy isn´t really that fun of a game Maybe it gets better if you happen to be a hive-mind? But I doubt it, considering that your body is built of cremlings of some kind.
