  1. Just thought that Rysn might be the next Queen of Thaylenah. Fen is old, and will likely not be alive at the back five books. Rysn has page time, a larkin, and might become a Radiant. What do you think?
  2. Good point. I guess he could have told the others and see how they reacted to the information, but yeah, I see why it would be problematic to act against Ishar.
  3. Agreed. Amaram can’t handle guilt.
  4. The ardents are one thing. People like Fen, Aladar, Jasnah, maybe Gawx, would defenitely believe him after all they have seen him do. The visions are from the Almighty yes, but the fact that he got them, imprisoned an Unmade, warned about Voidbringers, saved Thaylen City should indicate that he isn’t just making random stuff up about Tezim.
  5. I think it would, especially after showing the visions to people. Everyone knows that Dalinar has gotten good intel before, and most people would accept Stormfather as an authority, especially after seeing him.
  6. The ”I am king” thing he keeps talking of is thefact that he was king of Alethkar for five minutes at the end of WoR while Elhokar was in hiding.
  7. It reminds me a bit of when Stormfather tells Dalinar that Tezim is Ishar. Incredibly valuable info, which Dalinar doesn’t act upon.
  8. Welcome! Enjoy the Shard!
  9. I notice a pattern here. Both Amaram and Denth are offered a chance of redemption by the protagonist, but turns it down because of guilt. I wonder if this is something Brandon finds interesting, and if this is anything we will see more of in the Cosmere. Thoughts?
  10. I have a quacking duck sound.
  11. I see a pretty good point in the OPs argument, but I think the reason for Dalinars mistake is character development. At the end of OB, Dalinar is a different, and a more forgiving and understanding man than he is at the end of WoR. He offers Amaram to switch back to Team Radiant during Thaylen Fields, but Amaram refuses.
  12. I doubt it, for one simple reason: we rarely see real world names in the Cosmere. Dawn is a real world name. But still, a good thought.
  13. Those comments are based of a WoB that says all Heralds are mentioned or seen in the first two books. Here: We see Kalak in the prelude (and he might be at Gavilars feast as well, it is a pretty well-supported theory). Nale is obviously around. Jezrien is the drunk guy, Shalash is breaking art, and Ishar is posing as Tezim. We also have a( somewhat questioned I think) WoB that states that Pailiah is seen in the Palanaeum by Shallan. In addition, Vedel has been mentioned, Battar haven been mentioned (and might be posing as an ardent in Kharbranth, accoording to Taravangian), and Chana has been mentioned as well (it is theorized that she is the assassin Liss in the WoR prologue). Oh, and Taln is around too, obviously. That is all the Heralds there for you.
  14. Kelsier, always. I am very fond of Amaram as well. Also, just a tip: you can quote several posts in one post by pressing the plus button (I believe it is) in the bottom left corner of the posts you want to quote. The mods prefer if people avoid double-posting, so I’d recommend using the multiquote button :-) Cheers!
  15. Going by your cathegories here, I’d say that there should be a Shard of Chaos or Anarchy among the governance ones. Maybe Democracy though, that would be fun. Or a Shard of Buerocracy (did I spell that right?). Endowment has always been wierd, I think. Dunno what grouping it would be part of. Things you can do/acts would be my suggestion. Retribution might fit in there (it has been a popular suggestion in the past). There are a lot of other threads on this as well, with a ton of good (and probably less good) suggestions.
  16. Larsta also sounds a bit like Leras...
  17. I’m bored, so here goes: lets make a chull Ascend to become a Shard? How would we do this, and what would the shard be like?
  18. Because there wasn’t anyone else. Renarin would have been a bad king, Adolin didn’t want too, and neither did Dalinar (and to be fair, Dalinar does have a good reason, with him basically being the king of Urithiru). Amaram was sadly unavailible, Jasnah is ahead of Navani in the line for the throne, and Taln is too awesome for Alethkar. I personally hope that we will see Jasnah struggle in this position, since we almost always only get to see her being awesome. Struggle is far more interesting, and I do think that she might end up havibg more problems ruling a country than people anticipate.
  19. I saw this around a week ago, and it made me feel pretty sad. Mostly sharing it in cade there is anyone who wants to help. https://saveourhome.blog/ Basically, its a family who are risking to lose their home, and some of them are pretty sick. I see stuff like this at times (I’m sure we all do) and sharing it is a pretty good way of finding people willing to help (I won’t make it a habit to share stuff on here though, just thought I’d do it this time). So, yeah, have a nice day everyone!
  20. The theory is good, have an upvote! My only problem is that the name reminds me of a fictional small town called Larstad, which feels kinda silly, but whatever..
  21. So, simple. Do you have any character (Sanderson or other) that you love but who no one ever talks about? Like, a random secondary character who for no reason grew on you, but on no one else. This doesn’t have to be a disliked character. More someone who no one else really seems to care about. For me, it is Tobias Beckett in Solo, Braith in Faithful and the Fallen, and Dockson in Mistborn.
  22. I doubt that all Dustbringers or ashspren will be vengeance-seeking. I think we will see a lot of orders who have people on different sides. Its already in the works with the Skybreakers.
  23. The problem with it is that it is rushed, really. Not Mistborn-rushed (which worked very well) but... bad-rushed. Add 20-30 pages to the book and the ending would have been fine.
  24. I second this. Now, my spren list: Pattern - Aidan Gillen Syl - Evanna Lynch Stormfather - Peter Dinklage Wyndle - Anthony Daniels
  25. Its a pretty classic logic though, and one that works kind of well in people who grieve if done right (Jaina Proudmoore from Warcraft is a great example of this done well). The point with Spark is that Spark has lived for a long time, and knew the spren who died. As such, he, like many other spren (Stormfather for instance) harbor a distrust for humans. I think this puts it in another perspective than the Inheritance dwarves for instance. For Spark, things are different, and he hasn’t forgiven, because his connection to tye dead are direct and personal.
