The order of Odiums shardsplitting spree?
Toaster Retribution replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I doubt she is unscathed tbh. If Odium is weakened, and she is not, there wouldn't really be a good reason for her not to finish him off. -
I'm all in for this.

Cosmere Religion IRL
Toaster Retribution replied to NewbSombrero's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I dont really understand what you mean, to be honest. That you are going to live after the principles of Cosmere religions, and follow their moral teachings? I doubt that you plan to start worshipping fictional characters, but on the extreme off-chance that you do, I would advise against it. -
Odium free at the end of Stormlight
Toaster Retribution replied to red032's topic in Stormlight Archive
There are several things that could happen to Odium in order to make the story different from Mistborn Era 1: 1. Odium frees himself, kills Cultivation and leaves Roshar. Rayse has no interest in the humans; he wants to take out Shards. I believe that SA could contain a quick explanation of what a Shard is, and let every reader be aware of the fact that Odiums goal is to kill them all. In order to make this plot cooler, Cultivation could be unwilling to sacrifice herself for Roshar, leading to one of the Radiants having to kill her, ascend, and sacrifice him/herself in order to have Odium leave. 2. Rayse dies, and someone else picks up Odium and leaves with the Shard in order to destroy it/ go as far away as possible before being consumed by the hatred of the Shard. 3. Odium is splintered. Most likely in my opinion, and as pointed out by @hwiles, it would be a conclusion we have not seen before. 4. Hoid does something wierd to Odium which fits his own agenda, and also solves the problems on Roshar.- 75 replies

I doubt chulls can read, or use the internet, so I dont get why you wrote that. Complete waste of time.

So, Graves, Moashs new BFF and a shardbearer who is a member of the Diagram. I am for some reason pretty fond of the guy (I like him way more than I like Moash) and when I looked into WoR lately, I came upon the section where Moash and Kaladin talks about him. Accoording to Moash, he doesnt care about other peoples opinions of him, and married a darkeyes despite the fact that he is a lighteyes. He actually sounds like a pretty decent guy. So, anyone else who likes him (or has a general opinion on him)? Do you think he is as cool as Moash says he is?

The order of Odiums shardsplitting spree?
Toaster Retribution replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Huh, I didnt know this. Is it from a WoB? Ruin could have been interested in shattering Odium though, and is therefore a risk to have around. And then, what is so dangerous about Honor and Cultivation? -
We know that Odium tries to splinter every Shard he can find, and we also know that he took out Ambition first, and then headed to Sel to take out Dominion and Devotion, before finally going to Roshar in order to take down Honor (and presumably Cultivation). So, why did he do everything in this specific order? Why not go after someone like Ruin early, who seems pretty dangerous.

Rebuilding (Dominion/Devotion)
Toaster Retribution replied to Brightlord M. Alhstrom's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Maybe the investiture doesn't gain sentience because it is a mix of investiture from two different sources with different Intents? And the conflict between them keeps something sentient from forming. -
Odium free at the end of Stormlight
Toaster Retribution replied to red032's topic in Stormlight Archive
First off, I doubt Odium is the main antagonist of the Cosmere. I think whoever holds Odium will be the antagonist of Stormlight, but not necessarily the major antagonist of the Cosmere. I think that it's more likely that it is Harmony, Hoid, Bavadin, or someone we have not seen yet. I doubt that Roshar will end up destroyed. It is one of the most unique planets in the Cosmere, it would be a shame to see it go. And furthermore, Ambition is splintered, and I doubt someone will put it together off-screen. Also, most of the things in the Cosmere arent really Deus Ex Machina IMO. The ones I can think of are Szeths revival and (Mistborn both eras spoilers):- 75 replies

Jasnah Kholin most powerful radiant yet
Toaster Retribution replied to bdoble97's topic in Stormlight Archive
Different kinds of Voidbringers (there is a whole magic system there we dont know of). Also, eachother maybe. And then there are people like Adolin, who can have "Mat plots" because he lacks the power of the Radiants. When it comes to Jasnah, her storyline will probably converge with other characters (my money is on Kaladin). Brandon doesnt want Stormlight to be too spread out, so I doubt Jasnah will be on her own. And if she is on the same place as the others, screen time wont be as big of an issue. -
And five minutes of Atium should be enough for her to shoot coins through Szeths and Kals heads or hearts several times, depleting their Stormlight and eventually resulting in a fatal hit.

Casting Game!
Toaster Retribution replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
I'm gonna go Dusk, because I havent read many disconnected Brandon anthologies. I dont think any of the actors match physically, but here we go: -Liam Neeson seems like the best choice for Dusk from the ones availible. -Edward Norton... I think he would be great as motion capture for Kokerlii. Oscar worthy. -Walter Koenig could play Dusks uncle in a flashback. -Diana Rigg would be motion-capture for Sak. -And Kiera Knightley as Vathi. Now, lets cast Elantris with: -Leonardo DiCaprio -Emilia Clarke -Billy Crudup -Charles Dance -Scarlett Johansson -
A direct headshot will kill them instantly.

Top 10 theories going into Oathbringer
Toaster Retribution replied to bdoble97's topic in Stormlight Archive
Interesting. I doubt he is of Dakhor, as Brandon wants Stormlight to be readable for those who haven't read his other works. The most popular idea is that he is an Unmade, I believe. That said, Tezim being a Dakhor monk is certainly a very cool possibility :-) -
With 5 min of Atium she could probably kill off Szeth and Kal pretty quickly.

Ruin - Are endings really evil? Straff - Can you be a douche without ever being punished for it? (answer is no, you cant). Elend - What is a good ruler? Taravangian - Can you do something evil in order to accomplish something good? Preservation - Is preserving something really a good thing? Vivenna - Is it right to think of yourself as better than others just because they believe differently? Also, @Extesian you forgot Denth on your list. He is the ultimate version of that question.

Top 10 theories going into Oathbringer
Toaster Retribution replied to bdoble97's topic in Stormlight Archive
@Ammanas is there someplace I can read more about Tezim = Dakhor? My theories: -Adolin will suffer some sort of punishment for Sadeas murder. -The Ghostbloods will reveal their goal, and it will be morally grey. -Some minor Bridgemen will die in the climax. -Lopen will brag of his new powers. -Eshonai will reappear, and free herself of Odium. -The book will be full of shocking plot twists we could never imagine. -

Apocalypse Guard is on!
Toaster Retribution replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Im more excited for Mistborn too, but I'm still hyped for Apocalypse Guard. The Reckoners were great, and I trust this will be as cool. -
Not Dark One though. I really want that in book form.

The mook description there is probably the funniest thing I have read today.

I guess Venli took part in the battle of Narak like the other Parshendi, and most of them died, I assume. So do you think Venli survived?

@Extesian how did Trell create its godmetal then? Can metals like that be formed on other planets? Because if I got your post correctly, Trell hasn't invested in Scadrial, but has a godmetal anyway.

@maxal Navani is pretty curious though, and she likes to build things. Her behavior when it comes to rules is pretty unpredictable. She also does things nobody expects her to, like writing Justice on the ground at the end of WoK, or kicking off a relationship with Dalinar.
