But what Elbereth did is so impressive it deserves to be congratulated! In fact, I like it so much that one day, I want to do the same to her. I want to gain her trust and console her as her team falls to pieces around her, then enjoy taunting her after she dies and learns I've been evil all along.

Anybody who has listened to Aman talk about the state of the world and the government should be worried about his self-titled "Free Republic". I agree with Orlok. I think we should at least wait another Day to see if Straw does anything suspicious besides being more interested in this game. Maybe it's not the right call for this game, but it's the right call for the metagame if we want people to play and contribute. (As a side note, Stink also is being much more helpful this game, but nobody's lynching him.)

I'm probably going to be gone for the next five hours, so please don't expect me to respond to anything. So far, I have no reads on anybody, only a paranoia-fueled suspicion that Joe made Maill an eliminator because he'd get lots of role claims this game. Thanks for the theory, Alv. Maill, so someone can cancel my vote if we don't give him his ceremonial send-off today.

Hm. Shouting loudly (for a few moments), falling gracefully (is that a thing?) drawing (obviously), reading (because why not?), chattering with people online (but not face-to-face, strangely). Oh, and info-gathering (according to Elbereth). That ought to cover it.

Stink, I told Maill that I'd send PM safety out the window on a rocket with a trail of glitter behind it. If I drop PM safety for one person, I might as well drop it for everybody else. That means more PMs and more roleswaps. Besides, I said I'd be mostly inactive Wednesday and Thursday. I don't know about you, but I can't make massive posts on mobile while spending most of the day at an athletic camp getting sunburned and shouting at people. @Kipper, there are 8 periods in this post. 8 prayers. I'd ask if that makes you happy, but you'd point out the question mark.

Okay, that makes sense. I think your use of the word "innocent" made me think you said that all Merchant/Duke claimers are villagers. Semantics are tricky things.

That proves the claimer can manipulate votes, or knows someone who can manipulate votes. It proves nothing else.

I don't see how claiming Merchant or Duke clears anybody. Anybody can claim anything -- they can claim that they are a Merchant/Duke, that they were responsible for the vote manips that led to eliminators dying, that they were the one to move a single poke vote, etc. We have no village role scanners, so we have no confirmed way to back up someone's claim. It's possible that if someone lies, the real Merchant/Duke who did the claimed action might call them out, but we don't know if that will happen. The real Merchant/Duke might be dead, or inactive, or afraid to counter-claim, or unaware that such a claim took place. So, Amanuensis, how does a claim help prove a Merchant/Duke as innocent?

Just a heads up: Joe will not post clarifications or answers to questions except to correct massive misunderstandings, such as the idea that neutral roles don't exist. However, if that massive misunderstanding has been deliberately perpetrated, Joe will not post the clarification inthread. I don't quite see how Emerald is tunneling. Is it even tunneling if it's for less than a full Day? Tunneling usually lasts a bit longer than that.

Your name is close to Alvron's, and we all know how you're aligned. Then again, by that logic, I've fallen into the Darkness a long time ago... @OrlokTsubodai I agree that it's immaterial to put a second poke vote on someone, especially in this case qherw Stink was asleep at the time. On the other hand, does it really hurt to place a second poke vote? Votes aren't set in stone and can always be moved.
