Burnt[/color=red]. You post quicklinks and player lists, but not much else. Seems rather similar to a certain LG where you were an eliminator. Trying to slip under the radar?
-
@Joe @Mailliw73, I can't believe I actually fooled you of all people. I nearly laughed my head off the first time you called me a Cett. Please don't try to lynch me now. It wouldn't do to kill a Venture when the Cetts are so strong, would it.
-
Nyali, if I was a member of a house which two (or three) others had threatened with koloss, I would be resigned to a death in my faction and want to make the original perpetrator pay in blood. So if Venture is a "house of lies and murder" because some people wanted to get revenge, then every single Penrod who wants Amanuensis dead to get revenge for Orlok is a player of lies and murder. My hypothetical House would be a "house of lies and murder" because I'd be howling for someone, probably multiple people, to die. I think my factionmates would want to kill the original aggressor, too. @Mailliw73, if your Penrod friend Nyali had dropped us a PM by way of Alv, maybe we could have coordinated the attack on Venture faster. Or you could have gotten Alv to give us an anonymous message with us a key to respond with. If whittling down Venture was so important to you, a few vials (in another faction, no less) should have been nothing to you. Which makes me wonder why you are so miffed that it failed.
-
Note: if you wanted Cett to attack Venture, Maill, you should have responded to us earlier than three storming minutes before turnover.
-
I'd rather not die because I'm in the wrong faction. Maill. You might be playing the faction war, but I think it only benefits the Spiked. (Are you Spiked, Maill? Are you trying to distract us from the Inquisitor that now has fingers in every single faction? That would explain a lot.) Unrelated: I love how the title of D3 is "The Game Begins". A little late for that, Ren.

I'm going to be minimally active starting tomorrow, Thursday. I'll try to post every turn and vote. Factionmates, please bold my orders for me. I'll be able to find time to out in orders, if nothing else.
-
1) How do we know you're not lying about being a seeker? 2) If you are a seeker, how do we know you're not Spiked? I guess we'll get the answers tomorrow, after you get a few coins through your brain.

Ri came back from her walk with the skaa, completely exhausted. These sermons were long, but uninformative. All she had learned was that the Survivor was a man named Kelsier who had been killed by the Lord Ruler (and survived beyond death, according to his priests). He probably was just a Mistborn, but Ri wasn’t about to point that out to the superstitious skaa. The moment she walked back into the gates of Keep Tellé, Laura grabbed a tassel of Ri’s mistcloak. “Where were you?” Laura asked. “Mama’s been looking for you for hours.” “Walking,” Ri said. “What’s going on?” “A ball!” Laura said. “Come on!” One bath, three fittings, two hairstyling sessions, and one carriage rides later, Ri arrived at the Venture boy’s ball. Keep Venture looked surprisingly well-decorated, with lavish displays of food and drink everywhere. Is Elend Venture really that confident, or is he pretending to be confident? Ri wondered. She’d heard that he was near bankrupt and wasn’t anywhere near finding the Lord Ruler’s famous cache of atium. Ri took a drink from a waitress and sat down at a table to watch the nobles. The partygoers stuck together in clumps, as if afraid to mingle. A few couples danced in the center of the ballroom. Some nobles shot them dirty looks. Ri took sipped her drink. When she set the glass down, she noticed a young girl dressed in navy blue sitting near Ri with pen and paper in hand, looking wistfully into the distance. “If only I knew his name,” the girl sighed. Ri glanced at the girl. She wasn’t supposed to engage with the nobles, just observe, but this was a chance for easy money. Lovesick fools always paid well. “I could tell you his House,” Ri said. “Or his name, or his address. Ten boxings, please.” One day, these assumptions will be the downfall of Rima Tellé.

http://community.seattletimes.nwsource.com/archive/?date=19930315&slug=1690536 I find this to be a pretty convincing argument in favor of at least regulating guns, if not banning them. -
I can’t tell if you’re lying to save yourself or actually telling the truth. Joe. Orlok. I don't want a Seeker to die, and we can always lynch you if you’re lying. Or coinshot you.
-
Uh, why?
-
Please explain to me how revealing a memberlist insulates that faction from getting spiked. The Inquisitor (and everybody else) now knows who is in that faction. That’s it. If that faction isn’t the one the Inquisitor is in, they now have one less person to spike to find faction lists. That’s one spike that they can now use on players with powerful roles, have good synergy, or provide important analysis. It might even be one spike more that they use on someone from the originally revealed faction who the Inquisitor wants to work with.
-
Maybe. It depends on a few things. You still haven't described Thanata... I think that what Orlok did was weird and unhelpful to us, but not Inquisitor-like. Asking people to reveal faction lists is like shining a spotlight on yourself, coupled with two or three signal flares in case anybody missed what you were doing. I don’t think most Inquisitors would deliberately try to get so much attention. Joe, you haven’t posted at all this cycle. You’re not lurking, are you?

Thanks. It helps hearing your experiences. -
I asked Ren if I could have a PM to communicate with my team for the times when I could only view my faction doc, not edit it. He said he could set it up. I think he should also be able to set something up for you. It would be much better than using a one-time pad inthread.

*Sigh.* You noticed... Bard.
-
Okay, that makes a lot more sense. (Addressing the below quote, which I don't want to bother moving) Alvron usually lurks a lot. In fact, if you go to his profile, you'll see an Elbereth description explaining why his lurking makes him dangerous. He's more active now, but that's probably just for the boxings.
-
I don't understand the first paragraph, Bard. Are you saying that Alv should die because last game he lurked but posted more than in LG21, and he has a reputation? I don't understand why he what he did last game has anything to do with this game.

My mom says that because I got one B out of six classes, and did nothing else in my first year of high school besides joining a sports team and volunteering throughout last summer, I have "screwed up my life." Compared to other kids of family friends and relatives, I am not a genius and will never go to college (besides a community college), setting me up for some unspecified doom. -
Art and RP reasons.

@Elbereth, what do Sandhya and Thanata look like?

In last night's dream, I was walking along a path at night, and when I looked up, I saw a gigantic moon with a yellow tint against a dark blue sky. I thought, this is what a big moon looks like. It's bigger than in the pictures. I looked down for a second, then looked back up again. Instead of the moon, I saw shiny orange pods spread out across the sky, approaching me. Somehow, I knew this was the beginning of the fairy invasion. Later, my brother and I snuck into the fairy base on some unofficial mission. We were supposed to recover someone's missing glove, because it was dangerous to be in the middle of a fairy war with exposed skin. To escape, we stole a fairy vehicle that was a dull green and rather small. It was very mundane and acted like a mini-car with holes for windows. Then the fairies discovered us, and they started shooting at us. At that point, I woke up.

I won't be on for most of this Night. Will be able to check doc in about one hour, but will be sporadic. Please bold orders for me.
