  1. I've been in school for less than a month and am at least half-convinced that I'm falling apart. Too many things I want to do and too much busywork that gets in the way.
  2. If that isn't the post of an eliminator, I don't know what is. Oh, wait, that's not the post of an eliminator, is it? That's the post of a neutral-evil who has been converted by an eliminator Alvron, along with Stink and Len. Alvron's win condition is the same as Con's win condition, but he's on a different team. And you, the lucky Lopen, have been converted by both of them, which gives you three possible win conditions to choose from (two if you consider that winning as a Korathi convert is impossible now). I suppose you're trying to win with Alv now that Con didn't work out, huh? Or maybe you never intended for Con to win and were betraying us to Alvron the entire time. I suppose I'll only know after I die. So go ahead, kill me. I want to pester Joe to see if we've uncovered all the secret roles yet. Rae. EDIT: 6 minutes ago, Lopen just confirmed that Alv had converted Orlok. Thanks for the confirmation, Lopen. Sart, do what you will with this information. You're the only living villager, so I doubt it'll do much good, but maybe you can pull something off.
  3. Bodyguards cannot influence who CSPs will attack. I couldn't possibly have made Lopen and Elodin target villagers, Jeskeri Monk or not. Neither Lopen nor Elodin would have changed their kills to villagers if I had gone up to them, revealed myself as a Jeskeri Monk, and asked them to please kill the villagers I told them to kill. Neither Lopen nor Elodin even knew I was a protective role at the time, since I hadn't even taken on the Bodyguard role yet!
  4. Do whatever you want to these ideas.
  5. Lopen is almost hard-cleared as a villager. He pushed for Aman's death and killed multiple Jeskeri. Elimimators sometimes might bus their teammates, but I doubt they would bus their entire team. Sart, let's assume I was an Acolyte and I had my pick of whatever role I wanted. Let's assume that as a Jeskeri, I had decent communication with my team. Let's also assume that I was not a protection role. If Eol was the one to protect Aman, and got the notification that Aman was attacked, why would I, who according to your theory wasn't a protection role of any sort, claim to have protected Aman? Why not have Eol step forwards to say he had protected Aman because he thought Aman was village? Why does it seem unlikely to you that I had become a Bodyguard and had protected Aman? N4, Aman expected protection from a Bodyguard here: I told him not to count on my action tonight here: What other action could I have been referring to, if not a protection role? And Aman says outright that I had claimed a protection role to him here (that post helped guilt me into protecting him when I was trying to decide whether I believed Lopen or Aman more): Lopen asked me to make a last-minute post of who I was protecting, which I did here: Let's assume I was a Jeskeri non-protection role. What benefit would I get if I claimed Bodyguard and publicly waffled between whether I should protect Aman or not? Why not have Eol claim Bodyguard and do the public waffling? Eliminator teams lie, but why would I make up a needlessly complicated lie that probably would have a hole somewhere that a particularily astute villager might spot, especially if Eol died early? I wouldn't make up such a lie. I'd tell the truth instead, which is that I am a Beggar who became a Bodyguard N3. Also, this is a Night cycle, so votes don't count.
  6. Rough idea of a Shallan-focused trailer. Needs lots of feedback and tweaking. The flashbacks should be enough to hint something bad in Shallan's past, but not what it is. We don't want to give our audience spoilers, do we? Starts with a close shot of Shallan's hands drawing something on a sketchpad. She rips off the paper, crumples it, and starts drawing again. This time, there's an image of a Cryptic in the drawing. She rips off the paper again and throws it aside. Next shot shows Shallan's face. She's scared and keeps on sketching furiously. The camera zooms out and shows Cryptics standing behind her. The scene changes to an appropriate Shallan flashback. Back to Shallan, in a shot that lets us see what she's drawing (over her shoulder?). Crumpled papers litter the area around her. She's sketching the room in front of her, which is full of Cryptics. The camera tilts upwards to show the space in front of her full of menacing-looking Cryptics, just like in the drawing. Shallan turns and runs. The scene changes to an appropriate Shallan flashback, preferably when a younger Shallan is also running from something. Back to present-Shallan, in a similar vein, until Shallan reaches her room. She tries to use the soulcaster to defend herself. "What are you?" Pattern asks. "I'm terrified," Shallan replies. (Flashback to a room covered in blood?) Screen fades to black and name of show appears, followed by the Studio 17 logo. Maybe appropriate Pattern quote.
  7. There's also the possibility that Orlok is a Legionnaire who is a Jeskeri. I'm pretty sure Orlok is a self-targeting Legionnaire -- all someone has to do to disprove his claim is target him during the Night and see if their action fails. I'm less sure that he's a villager. He's the only one left alive that could corroborate Aman's PM with Wilson, Magestar, and Elbereth. That in itself isn't an indication of guilt, but it's worth considering.
  8. Oh the wondrous and supreme Young Bard, please accept me as your new disciple. I know that I am a mere mortal and not fit to even walk on the same ground as you, but I will try my best to be a fitting subject for you. Anybody who can make Alvron speak so much about confidential subjects is worthy of joining the Divine Quadrinity. If you accept me, I will spread your name through the land and spread your words to all whose ears are open to the truth. In other words, I'm pretty sure you're lying, Aman. Also pretty sure that putting a redirect role on the same team with a werewolf role is overpowered. Joe wouldn't allow the Jeskeri such easy chain kills. He'd make you actually work for your kills. Maybe you would tell Orlok about the second Legionnaire so you might be able to make this exact argument over here. I don't know -- I'm not you. But maybe you weren't planning to JP attack yourself at the time, and the N3 die-off was happily unexpected. I don't trust you at all. I don't trust Bard very much either. I especially don't trust you speaking what you claim is Bard's words. The "scan" would also keep him alive another Night, and encourage the village to not lynch your teammate. Also, you can't say for sure that your involvement in SD's lynch didn't matter much. How many people voted on SD instead of Kipper because they believed your HA claim on Kipper's behalf? How many people would have voted on SD without your HA claim? We don't know, and that particular argument is a logical fallacy. I can't speak for others, but I'll be smart and lynch you. Happy? Reads can change. Suspicions can change. People aren't locked into the reads they get on D1, which is a good thing, because as time goes on new evidence arises. Some people may have trusted you up till D4, but a lot of things have happened since then. Good players take new evidence into account. You're advocating bad habits. Ooh, appeal to emotion, one that might convince people not to vote for you. You're good, Aman. My goal is that one day, I can manipulate people the way you do.
  9. Vote posts of all the people whose votes were on Kipper at turnover: I'm not going to bother with analyzing Kipper's, STINK's, and Burnt's votes, since they all had obvious reasons to want SD dead instead of Kipper. Note: Len's last minute switch was not counted by Joe. SD would still be dead if Joe had counted Len's switch. Aman's post jumped out at me the most. Aman had two reasons to vote on SD: Kipper claimed Hrovell Alchemist, and Aman made a deal with STINK to kill SD. The Hrovell Alchemist thing is interesting: most people don't want to die or cause another mass die-off of four people. Kipper, of course, couldn't claim it, because why would a Jester-like role tell people they're a Jester? However, a fellow Jeskeri who wanted to save the Jeskeri-pretending-to-be-Jester could bring up the idea. The fellow Jeskeri would pretend to be a concerned villager who wanted to prevent a mass die-off. In hindsight, the HA claim has a few holes. Aman never mentioned Kipper's win con, and he said that the HA kills would be triggered with Kipper's death, not lynching. If Joe made a role like the HA, I'd assume their win con would be to get lynched, not just to die. Dying is way too easy in SE. I'd also assume that Joe wouldn't give the HA the joy of seeing lots of people die unless the HA reached their win con, which is to get lynched. Of course, we don't know who made up the HA thing. It could be Kipper, it could be Aman, it could be one of Kipper's teammates. This could have happened both if Aman was village or if Aman was Jeskeri. It's not immediately alignment indicative, but think it's worth thinking about further. Also, @Amanuensis, @TheMightyLopen, you know that Bard has been revealed as the role scanner, right? I think he can type for himself.
  10. @The Only Joe, why is Burnt's immunity to Jeskeri actions an "updated rule" instead of being part of her role? If anyone besides Len claims Duke or is scanned as Duke, they're probably Jeskeri. In SD's lynch, a Duke voted for SD. Len voted for Kipper and a Duke vote also appeared on Kipper, so the Duke vote on SD was probably not Len. We know Kipper was a JP, so the unknown Duke was probably trying to save their teammate. People who voted for SD last cycle: Kipper (obviously), Bard, Stink (needed to kill all Nobles), Aman, Burnt (Derethi), me, Duke (probably Jeskeri). People who voted on SD: SD (obviously), Len, Sart, Noble (SD), Duke (99.99% sure is Len) EDIT: The vote was 7 on SD vs 5 on Kipper. Without the unknown Duke vote on SD, the vote would be 6 on SD to 5 on Kipper. The Jeskeri didn't need to put the Duke vote on SD, assuming that the unknown Duke is a Jeskeri. Maybe they wanted an extra safety net just in case of last minute vote changes? Maybe the Jeskeri didn't have an updated vote tally and piled everything they had to save SD? Maybe the unknown Duke wasn't on for rollover? I think Len is pretty much as cleared from being Jeskeri as a live player can get. Kipper tried to kill him, and Len voted twice on Kipper. I doubt the Jeskeri sacrificed Kipper to clear Len. Len seems overly eager to survive, so I'm not sure if he's village, but he is definitely not Jeskeri. Some Jeskeri might have voted on Kipper to distance themselves, but I doubt it. EDIT: I suggest we look more closely at the people who voted on SD, except for Stink. He had obvious reasons to kill SD. That means you should focus your attention on Bard, Aman, and I.
