  1. Actually, I PMed Joe. He specifically said that if I was an elim, he would build goodwill, if I was a neutral, it didn't matter, and if I was a villager, it would let Chaos happen on a large scale.
  2. He claimed to want my help to get the Parole Officer to reveal themselves. I think Joe is the real Convict, because I asked him who his Ward is, and it's easy enough to shoot over a PM to confirm.
  3. Joe actually said the same thing to me. It seems like a smart move on Joe's part, if he's really the Convict. If the village knows he's the Convict, then he won't get lynched. If the elims know he's the Convict, there's a chance that they might threaten to lynch him unless he does things for them, but maybe not. If he reveals to the Parole Officer, the PO already knows. It's like what Orlok did, where revealing doesn't hurt him much, or at all. In fact, I asked Joe about why he was telling me this and he said that he wanted Chaos, with a capital C.
  4. Elims can PM too. Sometimes, they're quite good at it. For example, in LG33, Alv, an elim, used PMs to convince Wilson that he was village.
  5. Julie spotted a man moving a table towards the barricade. A fellow supporter of the Cause! She ran over and helped him lift the other end of the table. "Hi, I'm Julie Aurette, from New Seran. I was originally here to petition the governor to lower the tariffs on imports from New Seran, but then I found out about this and, well, couldn't resist joining. What's your name?" @Drake Marshall
  6. If anyone wants ideas about what to worldbuild, here's an example. It's based off of the Warriors series, but is rebuilding the world to be way deeper.
  7. @Elbereth, one flaw with making Tineyes go on different phases of the game based off of experience is that the Tineyes might all be on the same experience level. Then they'd be wasting their tin charges, since they'd go at the same time. Splitting up the playerlist also has the same issues. What if players requested tin or no tin inthread? It might not stop overlapping charges, but then the Nights there are PMs might be more useful to players.
  8. "Rust their warnings, rust their lies! They will see the people rise!" Julie whooped loudly. Her first real demonstration, and things were already happening. It wasn't quite what she'd imagined -- instead of being out on the front lines marching for equal representation of New Seran, she was barricading a city on behalf of the poor of Elendel. Still, she was demonstrating to air her grieviances to the government! This was so exciting. "Go workers! Go democracy! Go New Seran!" she shouted. Edit: Anyone want to RP with Julie? Don't worry, she's a kind person. Idealistic too. Wouldn't it be such a shame if someone took advantage of that...
  9. Important note: votes must be retracted in a new post. Don't go back and edit your retraction in your original post. Retract your vote in the same post you put a new one down, otherwise it won't count. I have issues with this myself, and it's rather silly to put down a new vote but only have your original vote counted. Don't do it, folks. Normally, I prefer it when vote manips announce their roles, but I think this time it's not such a good idea because of the limited charges. Soothers and Rioters, it's probably better to save your charges for late game, when elims and villagers will have more equal amounts of voting power. The elims, if they have a seeker, are going to be very interested in what roles the village has. (When are they ever uninterested in that?) I think it's better for Smokers to not use their charges early game, because there's more players alive. The chance that any one person will get Seeked is smaller because there's a bigger pool. Plus, there's more roleclaims later in the game, so Smokers who wait are more likely to know which specific people they want to protect. I might not be very active today or tomorrow. It depends on a lot of things.
  10. As the great and beloved Doc made his appearance, an adoring mass of people rushed to surround him. Some of them held signs proclaiming their love. Some of them reached out to hand various gifts of statues of the twelth doctor, torches burning brightly, and artwork of lone wolves. And some simply stretched open their arms and hugged him. Soon, the crowd started chanting. "" Once he finished his speech and song, the crowd showered Doc with little slips of orange papers with white arrows on them. Then they mobbed him with a series of hugs again. (If he was squirming a little, they didn't notice. They just hugged him even tighter.) Doc was back. The bloodshed would begin soon. All was right in the world.
  11. I've been training myself to say what the storms instead of This post has been reported for attempting to skirt the rules. So far it's working.
  12. Tenov's size is listed in the wiki under world, I think. It's smaller than Earth for sure.
  13. How would you feel about the Satori eating these fish? Do these humans trade with others? What type of things do they make?
  14. @Herowannabe, I'd just like to say that I love the writeups you've done this game. My internet access now is limited, but I've made time to read your writeups whenever a new turn is posted.
  15. What industries do the islands ruled by the Corilla kings have?
  16. Because of the way economies work, places where the Satori trade in are going to have more wealth and industries compared to their surroundings. Who here wants the Satori to trade with one of their cities?
  17. Yeah, that sounds better. I'm considering making that magic innate, so they have enough magic to fly insanely long distances from coast to coast while bearing cargo. Otherwise, every single adult bird would have air amulets, which might not work if the amulets are supposed to be rare.
  18. I think the Satori would mostly stay independent of humans. They can't build things though, so maybe a few would briefly grant humans powers in exchange for services.
  19. If we're going on an animal theme, perhaps humans could be the only species without magic, and have to bond with animals to get magic or use artificial devices?
  20. In the Diaemus project, magic was discussed early on. They said that it would be best to settle on overarching rules and themes, similar to what Sel has. Then everyone can develop unique, localized strains. So: 1. What types of magic will this world have? Is it passive? Active? 2. How rare is magic? 3. What limits and/or costs does magic have? @The Flash, what if there was something that ate the eggs of the dragons?
  21. I'm changing the name of the bird species to the satori. They nest only in the Holaki Islands, and do not take kindly to having other creatures in or near their nesting sites, even friendly ones. What level of technology will this world have? I'm thinking that the satori buy lots of tools and things that have to be made, because they don't have the dexterity to build a lot of things. They mostly eat fish, squid, and shrimp. In addition, satori that travel by cities frequently will also eat human food. Some satori have started using aquaculture, but I haven't decided how widespread this is. The way it works is that a bunch of fish are put in a cage that floats in the ocean. The cage lets water pass through freely, but not the fish. The top of the cage has a hatch that satori open so they can dive in and catch the fish.
  22. Actually, they're the size of albatrosses, which I'm going to use as my base model. I can't tell you how big they are now, but I can find it later. The birds mostly live in costal areas. They use air magic to help them fly long distances, and will ferry goods across oceans -- at a cost. Are we going to write stories for this, or is it just worldbuilding?
